The problem JW have is that they have been taught for decades how to reason with people from the publications of WT. Now it is not even permitted that they reason among themselves from the Scriptures! And that has created a problem among us until today...:-)

As an example, let us reason on 1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 - "Now as for the times and the seasons, brothers, you need nothing to be written to you. 2 For you yourselves know very well that Jehovah’s day is coming exactly as a thief in the night. Whenever it is that they are saying, “Peace and security!” then sudden destruction is to be instantly on them, just like birth pains on a pregnant woman, and they will by no means escape. But you, brothers, you are not in darkness, so that the day should overtake you as it would thieves, for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We belong neither to night nor to darkness." What two groups is here apostle Paul contrasting?

As you know, we were trained at every service meetings, what was being offered to the public and we even had a spiel we had to rehearse and use at the door. If you got them off topic, they were for the most part lost and didn't know how to proceed. Unless they were seasoned students who knew what they believed and why.

From the above verses in 1 Thessalonians 5:1-5 it should be obvious, that those, who say "peace and security" are exactly those, who were saying that Jehovah's day (Lord's day) was already here...and those are the sons of darkness as opposed to the sons of light (look Daniel 12:2), to whom apostle Paul was writing

Exactly a true issue. I was raised Catholic and if I considered their reasoning that Jehovah would never let the GB go astray then I’d still be Catholic because the Catholics use the same reasoning. I had Catholics tell me that they felt they must remain Catholic and let God correct the issues in his time frame. The issue of the Pope became a huge problem for me once I started reasoning on my own. And, I don’t know how you talk to Latter Day Saints, who also think their “prophets” are God-directed. What is the difference? Where is the proof? It certainly isn’t in the scriptures any longer since they have decided to go with “strange, illogical and impractical“.

How true! It must be so difficult for dedicated members to get away from the doctrines of any religion unless they have a love for the truth and are honest and sincere in their hearts! And this is the same thing that the GB has come up with, that the cry of "peace and security" comes from without, from the nations...

As a matter of fact, I looked up and what did I see: the publication Pure Worship of Jehovah—Restored At Last! was published in 2018.
Can we say that "Pure Worship Restored" is somewhat synonymous with "Peace and Security"...?

"But reject empty speeches that violate what is holy, for they will lead to more and more ungodliness, 17 and their word will spread like gangrene. Hy·me·naeʹus and Phi·leʹtus are among them. 18 These men have deviated from the truth, saying that the resurrection has already occurred, and they are subverting the faith of some." - 2 Timothy 2:16-18. Resurrection of the dead (anointed) was to happen at the second coming of Jesus Christ...

exactly, "how to reason from the publications" not from the bible. The bible always was secondary in reasonings. It was/is always about what the discrete slave said not necessary what the scripture says. Totally brain washed "nation".
