Greeting everybody, I am considering taking a road trip. One of the things I had planned was to visit the Indian reservation in North Carolina, but my savings are growing substantially. Maybe I'd like to see something else. One of my dreams was to visit the Catacombs of Paris. In the grand scheme of things it's not that big of a difference. I just looked it up as a travel package. We're talking about $2000 for flight + lodging for a 4 day trip. Honestly, that is really not that bad. If I saved up about $3000 that should cover food, emergency fund, etc.

Yea, yea, the catacombs is weird and morbid destination. The thing is, I love that stuff. As far as funds go, it's actually not impossible for me. I already have about a thousand in savings. That means I could conceivably take my trip next year when my vacation times starts over. The problem is I don't speak French. Do you think that will be a problem? Where would you go if you had the opportunity? I was gonna save up about 2000 just to go to North Carolina. Things are kind of opening up for me now. If not the catacombs, where?

I had not realized Paris had a catacomb. We toured a subterranean freakshow in Rome 30 years ago. Lots of death worship. Catholicism is a death cult. Creepy. But there are a lot more interesting things to see in Paris. The Louvre is incredible and the Musée d'Orsay, where all the impressionists are displayed. If you have never been to Europe, I would recommend it as a broadening experience. Of course, Europe is not what it was a few years ago. Western civilization is being deconstructed rapidly. If you want to see it, I would suggest going quickly.

It's definitely on my list. The catacombs of Paris span about 200 miles. And yeah, it's pretty morbid because it is literally built out of human bones dating back to the 1700s. Only a small portion is open to the public. Of course, that's not the only reason I want to see Paris. But it is part of the reason. The other part is definitely the food. Hopefully I'll have time to go. Unfortunately, I still have to save money. It will really boil down to how much time is left. If the system doesn't collapse this year or next year, I may still have a chance.

My 2 cents is to wait until next Summer. We should know a lot more by then…post election, post inauguration, probably post Ukraine and Israel wars. I have plans to buy a motorcycle next Spring unless Jehovah has other plans. If He decides to delay the GT/HOT…then I plan on buying a RV, putting an office in it and going to Nomex’s driveway for the Winter! Lol

It's unlikely I'll even have enough money before then. But if it does delay maybe I'll take the batcopter out to meet you guys.

I’ve found that having goals for the possibly that Jehovah delays the end has helped me stay positive and happy. For far too long I was living as if the end was going to start “tomorrow”… which led to anxiety and depression. Once I flipped the switch to being ready for the end to start at any time, while also having a contingency plan if it doesn’t, I’ve been much more patient and relaxed.

American has some of the most beautiful natural nature reserves in the world, and some of the greatest natural wonders known to man. Yellowstone, the Grand Canyon. The blue ridge mountains. If your reserves of cash are minimal, the why not hire a dying Winnebago to drive it back to its resting place for the company on the cheap and spend some time exploring what is on your doorstep. You are a guy at one with nature, a loner, a thinker, one searching for the elusive meanings and wonders in life, a person, a rare one that continually asks “why?” That is what you should feed upon. Living self sufficiently for a while, seeking the ethereal and the natural, living the history of this world and seeing the hand of Jehovah in its glory. What an opportunity! Don’t let your natural inquisitive nature waste itself on the catacombs of Paris in their dusty and tragic end, but feed your mind in the hand of Jehovah and be refreshed. The institutions of man? A passing thought and ultimately unfulfilling. Communing with nature on a budget and walking in Eden, you will find a refreshment you thought impossible and answers to feed your soul for a lifetime. “One day in your courts are worth a thousand spend elsewhere.”

Oh that would be awesome!!!!! But after a couple weeks we'll have to find you a camp ground since my HOA will almost certainly be send me letters. But before that maybe you can, like Randy Quaid in "Vegas Vacation" (or was it Christmas Vacation?) and drain your RV sewage into the storm drain that goes to the lake here. Let's really stir things up!!!!! Although, let's not do that at my storm drain, that one leads behind m house!!!!!:ROFLMAO:

Umm...no you won't!!! I'm Batman, that's my helicopter...but maybe if you're nice I'll come and get you in said helicopter.

I will say this though, I agree with Robert, it's not what it once was, and there's no way I'm going anywhere where I can't bring my gun/s! The mountains in NC is beautiful any time of year, but they got hit pretty hard with this hurricane weapon...so I'd wait to visit there too for a while.

Actually, I have mine on loan from Batgirl. I was doing some traffic control for her last week, so she owes me a favor.

I am partial to London. I have been going every year since 2016? Like someone else said, I would go soon. The world is crumbling. Btw. If you like McDonalds, eat at one in France. So much better than in the states. I know that sounds silly, but something is different. Maybe less chemicals? And three grand is plenty. I spend about $3500 for two weeks of food, lodging, transportation and new shoes for the grandkids! But I don't stay in London. Too expensive. You will be impressed with public transport in Europe.

I hear London has fish sticks at McDonalds. I do want to go soon. Currently in savings mode. Only got about a thousand saved up so far. I try to put back about $200 a month. Plus I am aggressively paying off debts. My credit jumped from the 400s to the 600s. Slowly creeping up to the 700s. When I get some of these little debts paid off I might can swing an extra hundred a month into savings. Never been able to do this before. I thank Jehovah every day. Part of me is a little worried he might have put me in this situation because he knows things are about to get bad. If that's the case I may not have a chance to take that trip. That would kind of suck, but it's a blessing either way. It may be the case Jah wanted me to save this money for something else. Exactly what that may be is unknown. It does seem a bit convenient Jah put me in this position right before it appears the world is about to collapse.

Fish sticks!! Do not get a romantic idea of London Jahrule. It’s full of history, but the cheapest room will clean out any savings you have and the food is not cheap and nasty but expensive and nasty. There is more nutrition (and other mystery things) in the grease that the food is served in. I learnt that lesson at the Hard Rock Cafe. The air is polluted too - worse than NY. McFats probably does sell ‘fish’ sticks but the fish is probably some sort of river pollack from Vietnam - and don’t carry anything that you cannot afford to have taken off you at knife point. A cheap way to see London may be from the open top of a double decker tour bus. The air is a little cleaner and you get to see bits that vaguely interesting. You will need to speak the following languages: Hindi, bengalese, Chinese, Portuguese, various African dialects, Vietnamese, German, and French. Public Toilets cost about 50c/$1 to use - wear a hazmat suit and mask and do not touch any surface - bring your own loo roll and don’t expect a seat…..or a door for that matter. Finally, follow this cultural code - it applies to all nationalities unless you know the person well: 🤣

I’m not sure . I think the last time I went to a McFats was near on 30 years ago. I bought a burger for a homeless guy outside, and then felt guilty about feeding him such unhealthy fare. I think the bible actually mentions it. “If your child asks you for food, would you give him a McDonald’s fish stick?”. Something like that anyway.

Well I'm going to need you to go undercover amidst enemy lines and check to see if they have fish sticks at McDonald's. You don't have to buy anything. I just want confirmation. When your mission is completed send message back to me via Morse code. This message will self-destruct in 10 seconds.

El próximo año si no se cae el cielo estaré por esas montañas. Iré practicando la flauta alpina. Alguna melodía en especial?
You would need a set of lungs like a race horse if you want to get a melody out of an alpine horn! I would take some castanets and play those on a mountain with a back-ground group playing cow bells! I think you would gather a large crowd to watch!

Personally I would avoid long distance travel right now. Specifically Paris. The forced migration has turned large cities like this into hotspots that can explode without any warning. They seem to know that their purpose there is to enrage and assault the local populace.

Eso es lo que nos han comentado los turistas parisinos este verano. Dicen que el ambiente está muy extraño.
