But they don’t say what it represents.
Exactly!! Because they know the Bible is talking about THEM and US, Jehovah's own, dedicated people, not a group of people who don't even use his name. I wouldn't be surprised if they did away with "types" and "anti types" once the penny had well and truly dropped! Just to keep that part of prophecy hidden a little bit longer from the brothers and sisters..

someone pointed out to me that all through the old testament (septuigent) there is a clear distinction between an "a Isreal" and "the Isreal" meaning "the Isreal" are the loyal followers of Jehovah so I would assume that when Christ came he invited gentiles to join Spiritual Isreal (the Isreal) and it appears from many bible verses that there would be similiar distinction between "a Christian" (some one who calls themselves that but proves otherwise) and a "genuine Christian" I think the Sarah and Hagar situation also point to the 2 groups

Galations 4: "24These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother"

Its interesting in the picture of the WT article being discussed has a representative of Jerusalem and one of Rome

I believe part of the problem for those in watchtower today is that the vision of the kingdom to come is viewed more as a continuance of what watchtower describe as “pure worship” today. For me, this was a major consideration of not going back to watchtower - their portrayal and their betrayal of the kingdom. That sense of misdirection was confirmed for me when the gb assumed they would be governing in heaven as kings as though running a printing press is somehow part of Jehovah’s kingdom for mankind.

It’s not so much a matter of humility on their behalf, but of their not realising just what spirituality requires of us and their pomposity in believing themselves to be in the position of claiming such authority.

That attaining a “spiritual paradise” or “pure worship” is possible this side of the tribulation simply breeds a “form of godly devotion, but proving false to its power” amongst the brethren in general, leading to self satisfaction and a belief that simply following the gb’s “directions” (even if not understood!) is a sufficiency in spirituality. It’s simply not true; is misleading, and stifles the search for absorption of the Spirit in understanding.

It appears to me that the divide between Jew and gentile (biblically) is just as you point out in that it’s of spirit above “conformity” as described by watchtower and for that matter, modern-day Jewry. Rather, It’s one of understanding the true purpose of Jehovah and which of course would be open to all of those realising the requirements of such - but not just realisation, but of loving those principles for what they are. To accomplish that, one must understand their utility and application both in and for one’s self and thus for others. Thus “love” “appreciation” of the attributes of Jehovah.

Like the Jews, relying upon their traditions, so it is with watchtower in that they stroke their own ego with understanding, not of spirit, but of “tickling the ears” as the Bible puts it. We see the emergence of this behaviour now in watchtower. Essentially, honest teaching feeds the inquiring mind and promotes searching on behalf of the individual to make it their own - to possess spirituality. There is no end to it - no attainment, no “spiritual paradise” of accomplishment. Truth is a boundless search, infinite and full of growth - in the pleasure of discovery. The consistency and attainment IS spiritual, though - the means by which we survive to carry out these gems of Jehovah’s giving.
