In the UK all our flooding is caused by 1) the councils throughout the UK stopped clearing out the drains about 35yrs ago, they used to do them 2 or 3 times a year, high powered sucking machines getting out all the litter, leaves and everything else that went down them, it takes less than 10mins now for the roads to turn into deep rivers. 2) around the same time they also stopped dredging the rivers, it takes half an hour for the rivers to become lakes now, and 3) for the past 30yrs they've been building huge housing estates on flood plains and it takes less than half an hour for people's homes to flood. And 4) they've been ripping out trees left, right and centre. Or, I could be completely wrong and it's what you said Edith, too much breathing going on..

I have no idea! What I do see from my experience only, is that fellowship has turned to ownership. The flock has become a captive source of income to a business. It seems to me that is what they are trying to sell. A dream, a hope. But it costs. So pay up. It appears similar in the world. Governments offer care for the the frail and elderly, but it’s just become a facsimile. Hospitals failing, food, poisoned, housing - cheap cardboard and heat - put on a wooly! I just read that about 4 months ago the insurance companies cancelled the insurance policies in this area and so many people are uninsured for this loss. It is also being reported that the California government is so negligent that there was no water in the fire hydrant system and so no firefighters were there to put out the fire. It is still not contained.
