I had said that I thought about starting a thread for updates on newsworthy items so that we can keep each other aware of events. With so many members spread out, we don’t always know the location of the members. And, some events have far-reaching consequence. Anyway, I thought this thread would be a good catch-all for newsworthy items consolidated in one thread. The first is that 3 explosive devices were set off at 3 businesses in Washington DC. I have to wonder if instigators are trying to spread the France violence.

This is a federal court ruling on free speech that could affect us. But then I think about the US Government going down and then recovering from the death stroke and who knows what laws or judicial rulings will survive anyway. At least for now the Biden Admin has been ordered to stop censoring voices.

I wouldn't doubt that King Charles steps in the remains of the White House with the help of English, UN, & Israeli troops & broadcasts to the remains of the USA (perhaps in different factions at that point) & takes the Constitution & lights it up with a lighter. He then makes it clear this land is his domain now. We'll see how it all unfolds though.

Nothing of importance happened on July 4, other the daily murder and mayhem we are accustomed to. But I got my taxes compiled and so I‘m ready for my appointment with my Accountant!

Our government drains every last penny from us. We have the highest taxation since the war - then they spend it all giving to Ukraine and on their own ‘expenses’ - we had one member of parliament claiming a speeding fine on expenses! They are paid just for turning up in the House of Lords! Mind you, I expect the USA government employ someone full time to prompt Biden on what day of the week it is, who he is at war with and to remind him where he is.

In Hawaii we have some very notable and odd accidents including the one below where a motorcycle cop inexplicable crashed into the median. Of course, perhaps, I am more sensitive to reports of car accidents since my own car accident, but on that same day there were at least 2 other major accidents with 2 deaths and several injuries resulting in people being in critical condition and the freeway being shut down for hours. 2 of the others on the same day were Jehovah’s Witnesses from a different neighborhood. And, one of our brothers was killed when he was crossing the street in yet another neighborhood just a day or two ago. My non-witness sister in California is also seeing an increase in the number of car accidents and coincidentally it seems to be about a 20% increase, which oddly corresponds to the increase in all-cause mortality and the increase in Hawaii with drowning deaths. I just find this extremely odd. Here are some articles and some of the accidents involve people inexplicably driving their cars through a storefront and a couple of those in the last month or so.

HPD said the officer crashed into a median while en route to assist another officer on a weapons call on the night of July 11.

Wisely, though the inability to keep off the curb and wrong side of the road skipped my generation, when my daughter - on her driving test - managed to hit a stationary car, I suggested to her that she should get married to a man with a driving licence and spare us all a great deal of worry and herself an astronomical fee for insurance. She took my advice and did both. I was awarded a medal for my contribution to road safety in England.

Vaccidents, perhaps?

It does make you wonder. One thing I was initially pretty angry about in my accident is that the guy didn’t even hit the brakes. He just tried to swerve at the last milisecond and t-boned me. But then I started wondering if he had a seizure or something beyond his control. Who knows? It could have been carelessness or not paying attention or it could have been something like Senator Mitch McConnell experienced the other day where he just froze for a minute or two.
