Soft men?

The Reference NWT uses the expression at 1 Cor 6:9 "men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men..." as those who will not inherit God's Kingdom. The revised NWT states: "men who submit to homosexual acts, men who practice homosexuality" The revised expression seems like a redundancy. Referring to the handy parallel versions in the righthand column what does the Greek Interlinear say? It simply uses the word "soft" in relation to men. Older translations like KJV translate "soft men" as effeminate. It has me wondering if the NWT revisers wanted to water down the expression so as to not offend the militant LGBTQ promoters. Certainly, the expression "men kept for unnatural purposes" encompasses the whole LGBTQ cosmos.

Ironically, more people are part of the LGBT+ now than ever before. Make of that for what you will.

Yes. It does seem redundant to me before but didn’t bother to check until you point it out. It seems the light of WT to the world is dimming.

Afraid of persecution perhaps? Because they prophesied that great persecution occurs when Babylon the Great is attacked by the Wild Beast. It will be ironic if indeed JWs will be persecuted greatly, as others might think that it is JW who is Babylon the Great or the GB had wrong understanding of the prophecy.

Regarding the greek word relating to soft men, this is what Thayer have to say:

G3120 (Thayer)
μαλακός
malakos

Thayer Definition:

1) soft, soft to the touch

2) metaphorically in a bad sense

2a) effeminate

2a1) of a catamite
2a2) of a boy kept for homosexual relations with a man
2a3) of a male who submits his body to unnatural lewdness
2a4) of a male prostitute

Part of Speech: adjective

A Related Word by Thayer’s/Strong’s Number: of uncertain affinity

Regardless of translation, we know all that stuff is still against what is organic & natural. Like the saying goes: "It's Adam & Eve, not Adam & Steve, nor is it Ada & Eve."

I can't help but think that half those numbers are people that want to identify as LBGTQLMNOP so that they can be part of something, a trend. It's "cool" today to be gay. (it isn't, but you get the idea.) You can see that by examining the numbers for older generations. They spike up all of a sudden? I don't believe it. Even when the kinsey report was done, it was found out later that they way overestimated the percentage of homosexuals in the population. Personally, I'd be surprised if it's 2 percent... It's not only about perverting the public but it's probably more important to give a look of normalcy to the perversion.

Have to wonder how many are being honest with themselves.
