Thought I would start up an off-the-cuff 30-minute Sunday Talk series

It really is such a pleasure to hear a discourse that is 100% bible based and applicable to how we can benefit and learn now about the coming events that will be affecting each one of us. Although there will no doubt be some surprises, it will be the same basic pattern of what occurred during Jesus’ time on earth. I didn’t have to hear any idolatry, lying or hypocrisy. It was such a pleasure that I listened to it twice.

The mark of the beast is of course an interesting topic and the Org’s website actually does have some good research info. So, I looked up “Brand Mark” and it brought out that the pagan tradition of brand marks of various designs were burned or inscribed in the flesh of the slaves as a sign of ownership. “Idol worshipers on occasion had the name, emblem or image of their idol god reproduced on themselves to display the fact that they were devoted to that god.” Thinking about the choice, that all humans will be making, reminds me of the Hebrew youths in Babylon and how courageous they were when they declared to the infuriated Nebuchadnezzar that Jehovah is able to rescue them but regardless of the outcome or penalty to them they would not worship the image. I imagine it will be similar test of faith for us.

I had to laugh a bit at the mention of the Muslim belief in the 70 virgins and the Catholic doctrine of purgatory. Those beliefs are pretty comical. And, it was pretty funny how Robert King points out the the Org is the “king of the end times prognosticators!” Yet, they really never mention the mark of the beast in any depth. They’re too busy blaming climate change as being the fulfillment of Jesus’ signs of the last days.

Same here Melinda. I was surprised no one seemed to know about this forum. I left a reply on my phone for them but it didn't "show" Things to do now but will go back later using my ipad which will definitely work and tell them all to come on over!

Very encouraging video Br. King, thank you. I do have a question though, in your video you said Satan is the ruler of the world, you also stated that he hasn't been thrown down yet can you please clarify this? If he's the ruler of the world doesn't this show that he has been thrown down? Thanks

Robert will give you a difinitive answer: Quickest reasoning is that Rev12:9,12 does not occur until the Lord's day Rev1:10? Here's one of many articles Goldie https://e-watchman.com/will-know-satan-cast/ That little search box top right is so edifying!

Hebrews 12:16, 17

16 and watch that among you there is no one who is sexually immoral* nor anyone who does not appreciate sacred things, like Eʹsau, who gave up his rights as firstborn in exchange for one meal.a 17 For you know that afterward when he wanted to inherit the blessing, he was rejected; for although he earnestly tried to bring about a change of mind* with tears,b it was to no avail.*

Genesis26:

28 And Isaac loved Eʹsau because it meant game in his mouth, whereas Re·bekʹah loved Jacob.m 29 On one occasion Jacob was boiling some stew when Eʹsau returned from the field exhausted. 30 So Eʹsau said to Jacob: “Quick, please, give me some* of the red stew that you have there,* for I am exhausted!”* That is why his name was Eʹdom.*n 31 To this Jacob said: “First sell me your right as firstborn!”o 32 And Eʹsau continued: “Here I am about to die! What use is a birthright to me?” 33 And Jacob added: “Swear to me first!” So he swore to him and sold his right as firstborn to Jacob.p 34 Then Jacob gave Eʹsau bread and lentil stew, and he ate and drank, and he got up and went away. Thus Eʹsau despised the birthright.

Matthew4:4 Then Jesus was led by the spirit up into the wilderness+ to be tempted+ by the Devil. 2 After he had fasted forty days and forty nights,+ then he felt hungry. 3 Also, the Tempter+ came and said to him: “If you are a son of God,+ tell these stones to become loaves of bread.” 4 But in reply he said: “It is written, ‘Man must live, not on bread alone, but on every utterance coming forth through Jehovah’s* mouth.’”+

45,000 denominations, crazy isn't it.

Ephesians 4:4-6

One body there is, and one spirit, just as you were called to the one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

My goodness this world sure is a big mess.

I'll take a stab at this. Revelation 12:7-12 says that the heavens are "glad" because the war that breaks out in heaven gets rid of the evil element in the heavens. That good event leads to a bad condition, a "woe" for the earth because now Satan and his hordes are confined to the vicinity of the earth. Satan has always been "ruler of this world", ever since the garden of Eden. The difference is that his personal residence has been adjusted in a big way as a result of Jesus giving him and his demon compadres the boot from heaven.

Even when they agree on the basics (though incorrect), they still fight & bicker over other matters. I see it all over twitter.
