Care to share your first talk or part experience in the congregation?

Mine was the introductory-level Bible reading. Minimal comment, practiced reading. No mumbling.

First: I am not a public speaker by any stretch of the imagination. Absolutely loathe it. My expression is through writing (and there's a whole story behind that (pardon the pun) for another day). It's how I'm able to form and organize my thoughts, and communicate them. Others are welcome to that gift of gab. :P

The reading was Revelation 12, and apart from the whole having the attention of a sizable group of people bent on me as I'm standing on a platform situation, and since I have always had a love for the Revelation of Jesus Christ, having an opportunity to read it to fellow believers felt like a positive, and remains a favorable memory for me.

I've kept my talk (read: script) ever since, and thought someone here might get a kick out of it and the emphasis on 1914 is in evidence, of course. It's gotta be from back around or before 99. It was before I'd discovered Hourglass2 online. A lifetime ago.

I'm looking forward to hearing about your own experience, so do share!
