The 2 witnesses

This idea doesn't originate with me but:

Is it possible the 2 witnesses of Revelation are the anointed and the great crowd? Moses was taken by Jehovah so he'd represent the anointed. Elijah was transferred to another area by Jehovah so he'd represent the great crowd.

Any thoughts on this?

I think when it happens we will all know. I don’t think this is it because of the nature of the two witnesses. They are put to death and the stand up which indicates resurrection. I don’t think the great crowd will be resurrected at that time.

From what I recall from Brother Robert King’s book the 2 witness symbolize Elijah (the prophets) and Moses (the Law), as in the transfiguration. But they also symbolize the 7,000 chosen ones who will be sealed after the separating of the wheat and weeds and after Jesus’ 2nd coming. The prophesying for 42 months is the witnessing the chosen will do before they are killed, when God’s Kingdom will be ruling simultaneously with the 8th King. Anyway, this is what I recall off the top of my head.

Revelation says of the two witnesses: "These are symbolized by the two olive trees and the two lampstands and are standing before the Lord of the earth." The passage in Revelation is actually taken from the 4th chapter of Zechariah and the 12th verse states: “These are the two anointed ones who are standing alongside the Lord of the whole earth.” Not only does it identify them as "anointed ones" it says they are standing alongside the Lord of the whole earth." If they are standing alongside Jesus, conversely, that means Jesus is alongside them. Not coincidently, the Greek word "parousia" literally means coming alongside. So, the two witnesses represent the chosen ones who will see Christ when he comes alongside them and manifests himself. They will then become witnesses to their having seen and spoken face-to-face with the Lord of the whole earth.

If we read further Kirmmy in vs7 of Rev11 talking of those two witnesses, their eventual demise is precipitated by the beast that ascends out of the abyss...they are conquered and killed! This is a different outcome than that of the Gt Crowd. They, out of the tribulation form subjects of Zion. They having knowledge of Jah and Christ have head start in disseminating the 'setting things straight of Christ'.......
