When this system goes & the Org & it's followers stumble, no doubt many on the outside will stumble for different reasons. The account of Peter stumbling is a firm reminder to pray our faith doesn't give out as Jesus prayed for.
Too true. That is one scriptural failure I often think of In regard to myself. When he “went out and wept bitterly” it is a reaction i can relate to quite easily unfortunately.

It’s interesting that DC has 2000 children go missing yearly.
DC is miniscule compared to the state of California or New York yet wildly exceeds them in children disappearing from the face of the earth.
Must be quite a demand for tender innocents there.
The entire state of California reported about 60 thousand missing children in 2021.
That’s 30 times more than DC but when you consider that DC is 2407 times smaller than California, the DC numbers are orders of magnitude higher than anywhere else.
This makes me absolutely sick. Jehovah is so patient. I could kill all of those monsters that hurt children. I have a 3 year old grand daughter what a superlative gift. I would die happily to defend her from these perverts.

Not to be too morbid, but CBS news (https://www.cbsnews.com/video/report-has-startling-revelations-for-contents-of-hot-dogs/)
Reported a percentage of human DNA in hotdogs. When the shear tonnage of hotdogs made here are considered even 2 percent is enormous and begs the question...

Wow! Ken - are these figures correct? Unbelievable! So much suffering in this world. How long Jehovah? How long?

On a square mile basis, that works out to 2.71 children for California compared to DC at 68.29. Very disproportionate.
Of course I’m not intimating that all these kids end up as victims of abuse by elite persons but I’d bet a good number of them do.

BTG as a blanket for "false religion" makes no sense.

  • And since "false religion" is not identifiable as an entity in the world, it makes the prophecy irrelevant.
  • The WOMAN sits on top of the 7 kings until they turn on HER.
  • The woman has children.

"And so upon you will come all the righteous blood that has been shed on earth, from the blood of righteous Abel to the blood of Zechariah son of Berekiah, whom you murdered between the temple and the altar." - Matthew 23:35

^ Jerusalem

"And I saw that the woman was drunk with the blood of the holy ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Jesus" - Revelation 17:6

^ BTG

"Yes, in her was found the blood of prophets and of holy ones and of all those who have been slaughtered on the earth" - Revelation 18:24

^ BTG

She is a "city", the "great city", and note a "great city" is split in 3 with an earthquake, "where the Lord was slain"

"And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." - Revelation 11:8

^ Jerusalem

I have to say, its quite clear that BTG is Jerusalem / Israel (a drunk adulteress... come on, its basically the subject of Isaiah/Jeremiah/Ezekiel..) who has a kingdom over the kings of the earth. Anyone familiar with European history recognizes that for at LEAST 1700 years Jerusalem was spiritually the focal point of Europe. ON TOP OF WHICH (sorry for the caps) -- The world has been attempting to 'turn on the Jews' for 3000 years now.... eventually its going to happen, successfully.

Here is a list of the attempts to remove the woman:

^ you can't make this stuff up!

This is why its a mystery nobody seems able to figure out and if you point out this clear connection its anti-semitism.

Then what do we make of all the other religions in the world?

In what context? This prophecy about BTG or in general?

If "she" is "all false religion" then who are her children?

The evidence I laid out is stronger than any other interpretation since it interconnects many verses / chapters / books with Rev 17/18 and connects with secular and religious history. All other interpretations are basically personal opinions about secular history.

In general. Besides the Abrahamic beliefs, there's many folk religions in each nation among the tribes & you have things like Buddhism, Jainism, Taoism, etc. whose beliefs are very different compared to those that have deities.

I'm not siding with singlecells position exactly for me it's been either Vatican or Jerusalem for a while without fixating on either possibility where I do agree with him is that Babylon the Great is a singular religious entity not some hazy abstract composite of all incorrext religions that lack the centralization and connection to be this "world empire of false religion" that watchtower phrases it. Whatever its identity Babylon the great 1. Involves an abrahamic faith judaism/christianity/Islam etc it can't be something lacking any connection to god or the bible like hinduism or buddhism paganism cant be unfaithful the way either judaism or forms of christianity can 2. Is singular 3. Has children hence other religions derrive from it. While I lean slightly more in the Vatican direction I can understand his reasoning because 1. The bible implicitly and explicitly compares wayward Israel to Sodom several times from the point of judges on and of course there's the location Jesus was crucified "And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified." 2. The consistency with northern and southern kingdoms repeatedly referred to as harlots in the ot prophecies.

Of course with the fractality type/anti type etc nature of prophecy can still refer to a christian religion organization. Rome's location makes it a solid candidate but there were many cities in the ancient world built on seven hills as cities were often intentionally made on such spots when identified.

Other religions are just that other religions but as for christendom whether or not Babylon the great corresponds to the Vatican the three branches of christendom as Robert points out correspond to Moab Ammon and Edom

The problem with the Vatican interpretation is you can't use the Bible to prove the idea, it effectively becomes an opinion about secular history.

Example, Revelation 11:8, the only other "great city" mentioned in Revelation is clearly speaking about Jerusalem.

"And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was slain."

Imagine a global French Revolution (France's attempt to dethrone BTG) where Jerusalem is "nullified" so to speak. The entire Christian/Jewish/Islamic world would in some sense consider their belief nullified along with it. (those pinning their faith to the wrong thing, at least)

Jerusalem as the interpretation is directly connectable with Jesus condemnation of the "great city", almost word for word, along with the verbage in Isaiah/Jeremiah/Ezekiel.

Jerusalem as BTG also sets up the prerequisite for Zechariah 12 to be fulfilled.

^ this attempt to remove BTG has been tried for 3000 years across the globe. It's a mystery, and the mystery can only be solved with the Bible.

The kings of the earth and the merchants mourn over her demise. That does not fit any entity associated with Watchtower.

My main critique of a Jerusalem interpretation is in the world it biases a lot of people into adopting preterism
