It does not speak directly about the vaccine but…………
He says that those who walk the narrow path "obey authority"
And those who go wide suffer "diseases"
He also says that true freedom implies restrictions
It will be a new argument to demonize the unvaccinated ?
Are we also going the wide way now?
I tell ya, it's just a matter of time till the Org boots the unjabbed individuals. I think it may even be a bigger kick out than 1975 & 1980.

Not saying this verse specifically applies to the vaccine issue either, but I think it can aptly be applied to many situations we find ourselves experiencing in this world as a "reality check" of sorts- to see if our position on a matter that we face would put us in the Narrow and Cramped road or the Broad and Spacious Road. Regarding the vaccine issue, in applying this verse as a "check" along with the other verse he mentions here at Ephesians 2:2&3, I would say those declining the vaccine seem to be on the narrow road. But that's just my opinion.

Watchtower never clearly states matters in open, honest, direct terms. It’s always implied. It’s up to critical thinkers to figure out the implications.

This is just more tripe piled on more tripe.

@6:16 mark he says the narrow road is defined by “self-denial, self-control, hard work and RESPECT FOR AUTHORITY”. Really? Listen to/obey the authorities (whoever they are) has been the mantra of Watchtower since this pandemic began. WT is not backing off this issue one bit, is it.

If it is evident that they talk about the vaccine without saying it directly
It is incredible how they twist the biblical texts

Psalm 50
16 But God will say to the wicked:
“What right do you have to relate my regulations+
Or to speak about my covenant?+
17 For you hate discipline,*
And you keep turning your back on my words.*+
20 You sit and speak against your own brother;+
You reveal the faults of* your own mother’s son.
21 When you did these things, I remained silent,
So you thought that I would be just like you.
But now I will reprove you,

And I will state my case against you.+

If Jehovah punishes the one who reveals a fault...
how much more to the one who iniquitously invents it

ust the fact that the GB and helpers keep harping on OBEDIENCE means they're having a major problem with it. There must be a schism happening in the org that the r&f don't know about.
I certainly hope so! - I've thought and hoped that from update #6 until now! So maybe Jehovah will actually take the lying gb down from within [?] I don't know, or care - how he does it - I just hope he does it soon!

It's not just the org though, it's most major religions, and especially the Christian ones it seems. And there are people in each Christian religion having the exact same thoughts as us, only about their leaders. It seems a schism in each one, no joke. And of course, in each case, it's the unvaxxed that are getting the boot. I was reading an account by a Mormon person who was questioning everything in her life because of this now. It seems people all over and reviewing everything they have ever been taught...

This is from our government's website. If you click on the Jehovah's Witness link it brings you to update number 8, I believe. Either that or 7, I'd have to go back and check again. But you can see they're listed with most other ones. Christian Scientists don't even believe in ANY medical treatment, ever. So imagine their shock when they're suddenly down for a dose of mRNA...

This is amazing! I didn't know about this! Thanks - and if you get any more information - please by all means share that too! - It could leave them more receptive or open to actual Bible truth!

@Searcher

the common denominator seems to be the underlying motive- perhaps a clause in 501.C3 law that govern non-profits. once a religious org. (any org) receives any type of emergency grant money from the federal govt., it becomes the government’s b**ch. It’d be interesting to know whether WT accepted any grant money or special tax deductions earmarked for Covid relief and if so how much and what the terms are. we def aren’t getting the whole story.

I've been trying to find this out for the past couple weeks. I had a phone interview with them as a reporter set up... Or at least, they (Bethel) set up an appointment but then missed it. Lol

who you or them? I don’t think they would be easily duped into making any public statement(s) that would cast them in questionable light. Everything they say is carefully scripted, and crafted- every movement is a choreographed dance- a Bob Fosse Broadway production. it bears repeating that the GB’s télé-sermons are rehearsed performances for the masses.

I complimented them and told them I wanted to interview them on their pandemic response. They were flattered and put me in touch with a media rep. He scheduled an appointment to call, but then never called. But yes, I'm sure it would be virtually impossible to get any real answers lol

I assume 1975 is when they tightened up the smoking laws; but what happened in 1980?
no in 1966 the GB of Watchtower began promoting the prediction that armageddon was going to come in 1975 based on some weird chronological formula about Adam’s creation. One GB member even coined a saying “stay alive till ‘75”. Many brothers made life impacting decisions based on their assurance by WT leadership that Armageddon was in fact coming in 1975 and when it didn’t, many brothers were left spiritually and financially devastated and many left Watchtower. The GB tried to offload the 1975 debacle on “some over eager brothers. . .” but the idea of Armageddon coming in 1975 came from this excerpt from Fred Franz’s (then head of the GB) book Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God (1966) pages 26-30:

The published timetable resulting from this independent study gives the date of man's creation as 4026 B.C.E. According to this trustworthy Bible chronology six thousand years from man's creation will end in 1975, and the seventh period of a thousand years of human history will begin in the fall of 1975 C.E. So six thousand years of man's existence on earth will soon be up, yes, within this generation. So in not many years within our own generation we are reaching what Jehovah God could view as the seventh day of man's existence. How appropriate it would be for Jehovah God to make of this coming seventh period of a thousand years a sabbath period of rest and release, a great Jubilee sabbath for the proclaiming of liberty throughout the earth to all its inhabitants! This would be most timely for mankind. It would also be most fitting on God's part, for, remember, mankind has yet ahead of it what the last book of the Holy Bible speaks of as the reign of Jesus Christ over earth for a thousand years, the millennial reign of Christ. It would not be by mere chance or accident but would be according to the loving purpose of Jehovah God for the reign of Jesus Christ, the 'Lord of the Sabbath,' to run parallel with the seventh millennium of man's existence." Life Everlasting in Freedom of the Sons of God 1966 pp.26-30

This publication is not available on Watchtower’s public online library and few JWs are aware of its existence. They don’t talk about it for obvious reasons and if it comes up to this day JWs will still try to claim it was those over eager rank and file JWs that created the 1975 Armageddon fervor and not the leadership.
