Yes, I am seeing this too.
 
That assertion of 1975 couldn't be made if we went by the Septuagint timeline where Adam's created at about 5,500 b.c. The 6,000th year of human history being Armageddon idea was something that stumbled Christians many centuries ago as in the early third century some Christians believing 500 AD would be the 6,000th year of history and the tribulation would occur about then.

Good point Asadour. Yes although I was born after 1975, I grew up with those who lived through the 1975 debacle; like my father. He was stumbled by the GB trying to blame the 'rank and file' (over eager brothers) more than he was disillusioned by the GB being wrong about 1975. He was inactive for much of my childhood, due to this.

I assumed that PJ54 was referring to those being disfellowshiped 'kicked out' rather then those who were stumbled and fell away of their own accord.
