Sorry to hear you did so long a stretch Mick. I hope you deserved it. It would have been awful if you didn’t. ( There is a touch of humour there Mick ). Yes I well remember the Krays and the various stories around the 50s/60s. It was a different time back then. I really appreciate your open heart on the matter. Life is such a good teacher, it’s a wonder that we can survive it and come out of it in one piece. I find it gives a far greater insight into perspective to reason upon life through experience. It’s not always what we do in life, but what we become that makes a difference and I think the further one has to travel on that road, the better and more substantial and sustainable is the outcome. You are certain to have a much stronger faith than we who have not been tried by ourselves and life so harshly. It gives insight into the depth of conversation that took place between Christ and the sinner next to him. What a comfort that must have been for both of them - one to give in their last breath, and another to receive. You have come through it all Mick. That can’t be bad.

The City of London is a global financial empire and its reach extends into every corner of the world. This hidden world operates in the shadows away from the public eye; yet, it has a profound impact on our daily live. It controls the bulk of global foreign exchange with over 2.7 trillion dollars moving through its channels every day. Much of activity operates outside the scrutiny of the UK government let alone any International Authority.

The City has a way of making or breaking political careers and governments. These financial powerhouses can also make or break economies with their investment strategies and market manipulations.

I cannot vouch for any of it, but it ties nicely with the King of the North - Tyre connection in prophecy, the Anglo-American feet of iron and clay, the pushing, and ultimately, the 8th king. Much detail in the article and lots of footnotes. The relationship between the crown and the City captured in a photo gave me a good chuckle. Much truth captured in it. Unlike the author's conclusion, we do have a hope.

As for bloodlines, ethnicities, families I don't get too caught up in it, other than to conclude that the people involved are not of the 12 tribes of Israel, but do pretend to be.

Hi Glenn, it is still possible to find all the kingdom halls on the JW website, scroll to the bottom of the page and click on "find a meeting" or "find a convention" then you just type in the details of where you're looking, you know, postcode, town, etc even what language you'd like your meeting to be in. There are no kingdom halls in the City of London. The link you have put up is a link to the Royal Albert Hall, beautiful place, I've been there a few times to see people in concert and I've had a tourist guide around the place. The guide mentioned the convention that was held there in the past.. I think JW literature mentions it too. I've spoken to brothers and sisters who attended that convention

I've learned recently that researchers have identified a lot more support for Fascism than just the Catholic Church before WWII.

The City of London is something completely different to the city of London. The City of London is only a square mile in size, it even has its own police force, and, the king/queen of England has to ask permission to enter!!
Since learning about 1914 etc on this site (plus I bought Robert's book, brilliant) it's enhanced my understanding of the times we're living in. I knew a little about the Square Mile (the City of London) before I even learned about the Bible because I lived and worked there for a couple of years when I was 18. I learned from Robert's information on what part the City of London plays in bible prophecy and then a few months ago I discovered an amazing London Tour Guide on YouTube who specialises in revealing all the dark secrets of London, the Square Mile, the Freemason's, the Royals, Parliament, etc etc all hidden in plain site so to speak, everything he reveals, perfectly backs up Roberts knowledge. He's an amazing guy with just the best, dry, English humour. I'll leave a link to his YouTube channel. Prepare to be amazed, entertained and enlightened!!

I know. It’s a real bind having to get permission when I want to go into the square mile. I’m thinking of changing my bank from Coutts to the Co-op up the road from me.
