The Great Tribulation, The Last Days, The Lords Prayer. What are you awaiting next?

The purpose of God allowing a post-tribulation period of 3.5 years is to impose a test upon mankind. Because at that time, it should be apparent that Christ is ruling concurrently with Satan. No doubt, Satan will provide certain inducements and coercion to deceive people into supporting his kingdom. Revelation says no one will be able to buy or sell unless they bow to the beast. So, in that respect, there will be food shortages, man-made. Perhaps the Devil will unleash some sort of deadly designer microbe and then provide an antidote, available only to those who bow to the beast. Gonna be a fun time, those 42 months.
“No doubt, Satan will provide certain inducements and coercion to deceive people into supporting his kingdom.”
Why would Satan need to induce the world at that time (during the beasts 42 month rule) to support his kingdom if most of them already made that irreversible choice prior to the cutting short phase of the tribulation as evident by their cries, at Revelation 6, to the mountains to fall over and protect them from the one seated on the throne.
Jesus referred to the “hour of test” during which he said he’d keep his followers safe.

Because you have kept the word of My endurance [My command to persevere], I will keep you [safe] from the hour of trial, that which is about to come on the whole [inhabited] world, to test those who live on the earth.

For the hour of test to have any positive outcome for anyone (which the above scripture implies could be the case for anyone alive on earth then), then it (the hour of test) must commence earlier than we thought with the actual onset of the great tribulation and not later with the actual ascension and 42 month rule of the eighth king after the tribulation is cut short. Rebellious mankind will have already (prior to the cutting short) chosen Satan’s rulership by their fearful rejection of Christ’s Kingdom.
The hour of test must run concurrently through both phases however the real test of faithfulness will come upon those faithful who will come under the entirety of Satan’s
hostility and sanction.
These faithful will be the actual targets of Satan’s inducements.
What confuses me is the repeated proclamation made after each new bowl of judgement is poured out on mankind namely “even then they still didn’t repent of their sins.”
Just as Jehovah is confident in the sealed ones unchangeable integrity all the way to their deaths, those sealed with the mark of the beast are just as unchangeable in their course of allegiance to the eighth king but Jehovah being the God of justice is obliged to extend the invitation.
Just my rambling two cents.

Very valuable those 2 cents Ken, thankyou, the puzzle is slowly slowly coming together for me now and I'm getting a clearer picture of what the future holds during the "real" end times. Strange how Jehovah's "channel" can't work it out too eh? Blind guides, leading the blind and they've shut up the kingdom to those trying to get in. The scriptures are making so much more sense now 👍😍

This has been an extremely interesting thread. So many great points made. I may be the one with the least understanding - having known the Watchtower’s version of things for so long. I’m in the process of catching up though, and topics such as these are just outstanding. It seems that there are two differing thoughts as to whether there is any salvation available after the Great Tribulation. Some think yes - some say no. This brings a couple questions. If a survivor of the GT never takes the mark of the beast during the 1280 days, are they still condemned to death?
What about those who support Christ’s brothers during that time? (However that is done) Are they still condemned? Since there are two kingdoms -Christ’s and Satan’s - If someone who came out of the GT refuses to bow to Satans government and pays with their life during that time, is there no hope for a resurrection? Just random things that popped into my mind while reading this thread. Thanks to all for your comments in this thread.

I believe Robert in essence means "for the most part". Obviously, even Robert doesn't know categorically whether "any" of those alive, born in, mature, change of heart, etc "during" the 1,260 days can or cannot still find salvation. I do believe it will be "harder" to. But I would argue on God's compassion and common sense and the fact that 3.5 years is a long period that will generate people with heart/mind shifts, spouses, children growing into adulthood, babies born etc....that I'd say it is possible for ones to choose Christ. That being said, based on scripture in Revelation stating no one would be able to buy or sell without getting the mark of the beast and that because "they would not give up their fornication and spiritistic practices ", that the majority will not desire to convert. But we can't forget the "mixed company" that adjoining Israel via its Exodus from Egypt. I think its too cut and dry , not practical and would be presumptuous to be adamant in saying "not ONE single soul" post Great Tribulation WILL NOT find salvation.
