The Verdict Has Been Handed Down - Finally!!!

I am Jehovah's quintessential prodigal daughter. I've gone inactive for years and then come back 3 times (so far).
You must be my twin. Lol.
I kept falling down too. But Jehovah is merciful and kind and keeps helping me back up.
I returned to the org. twice, the third time I returned to Jehovah, not the watchtower. Actually, the last time I left the org. I didn't exactly leave Jehovah, I just felt like maybe he had left me.
As far as being inactive, yeah that too but I try to speak up for Jehovah, Jesus, and the Bible when the opportunity arises. My family gets the bulk of my witnessing. None are what I would call spiritual minded. I keep trying and praying.
Good to know there are other prodigals. Glad we have come to our senses.

After the Watchman's mail shot costing hundreds of dollars in postage stamps the Kingdom Halls mail boxes were removed; that's how fearful of truth they are!
Yeah, and the Watchtower's chief counsel, one Philip Brumley, made a point of notifying the postal service to return a letter to the sender (me) that was specifically addressed to him. Evidently, he wanted to send me a message that he would not receive my message. Okay, I got the message. So did Jehovah. 😑

It seems to me that exclusion on these grounds becomes an accounting intervention, depreciation of assets, it does not have to be related to your relationship with the Creator
What a brilliant expression of terminal cynicism within the watchtower exceeding their own expectations! You should tell them so, though I expect they would take it as a compliment.

That's what we want to do, as well.

Our appeal process is in motion. Yesterday, we were contacted by the chairman of our appeal committee for a Saturday afternoon meeting. It’s no surprise that I know the brother but I was surprised as to whom it turned out to be. Of all the circuit elders that I am personally acquainted with, I could not have chosen someone that I feel would be more objective or more reasonable and my spirits lifted….somewhat. His reputation precedes him. He is known as a “pillar” in the circuit and is viewed as a heavy-weight.

My first question to him was “have you read our documents”? It surprised me when he responded, “yes, we have ‘digested’ them…all of them”. This was quite surprising in view of the fact that our original judicial committee’s answer to that same question was “we’ve read enough that we know we don’t want to read any more”. The conversation was friendly with no hint of animosity on either side.

In view of this development, we are considering attending, in person, despite the “shedding” issues. The reason being, if they do actually engage in conversation, we will be able to give a more thorough witness in-person although we still expect their decision will be to disfellowship. They really don’t have a choice – they can’t allow “apostates” to be running around freely spewing “disinformation”.

I don't know if you are aware of this thread (below), but I started it the month this forum came online. I intended for the thread to document all of the JWs who died in the United States who were not elderly. The thread sort of got diverted, but you can see for yourself that there are quite a few deaths. Of course, no cause of death is usually given. But given the huge uptick in unexplained deaths in younger people in the general population, it follows the pattern. You might be able to use this information to prove that Jehovah did not provide the vaccines. The GB acted irresponsibly and recklessly. And if you can establish that, then the charge of apostasy on your part cannot be just.

Thanks, we are aware of the thread and have read many of the posts. As you are already know, the covid/vax fiasco is high on our hit list.

We have no idea how much time they will allot for us to defend ourselves, if any at all. Our hope is that, if they do, Jehovah's holy spirit will be with us as to what we say and how we say it as we are confident He has been up to this point. So far, the brothers have displayed little willingness to engage in dialogue or to put up any defense against the charges we alleged. In playing devil's advocate, we can't come up with any solid "reasoning" that they can "legitimately" use to defend themselves.

If they do, in fact, allow us some latitude, it should be interesting. Any comments or suggestions are welcome and, of course, prayers would be very much appreciated.

Good sign: not wanting to read anymore suggests submission to the facts. They know they are in the wrong but are unable to admit without bringing down the house. Your work will hopefully affect and bring some towards our God given truth.

The patterns are forming...playing out... History is repeating in the type/antitype Jehovah is so fond of using to teach. Of course, when you can play with time like a piece of string you can do things like that.

"And one of them, Caiaphas, being high priest that year, said to them, “You know nothing at all, nor do you consider that it is expedient for us that one man should die for the people, and not that the whole nation should perish.”" John 11:49,50

You two will be whom they will kill (spiritually) so that their nation won't perish. :(

Say hi to Caiaphas for me. :)

We'll probably all soon find ourselves in these types of situations/re-creations...possibly. Well, not me... I've got a secret door into the basement under my litter box...

Phillip Brumley got his just desserts. Here’s the report on him:
MONTANA, USA: Philip Brumley, legal counsel for Jehovah’s Witnesses, and head of the legal department at their headquarters in Patterson, New York, has been fined $154,448.11. On June 22, 2020 he submitted an affidavit to the United States District Court of Montana wherein he used language that was an “intentional and sustained effort to deceive the court”.

Needless to say he may lose his license to practice being a lawyer in addition to lying ( my words about the lying)

Wow!! For a lawyer to be censured by his own system is incredible. They usually all stick to together like **** to a blanket. Jehovah really is showing them up for what they are and leaving them. His spirit is being withdrawn, I would say. Incredible! Never thought I'd see this in my lifetime.

So I wonder if Brumley will get WT to pay the fine for him?

Just this afternoon i replied to a couple well placed in the . Org. Here is a redacted version of their post to me.
“We think a out you a lot and hope you still are In. Jehovah’s. Organization.
Please don’t give up. You’ve done so much to help many and you’ve so much to offer and to see In paradise at the resurrection
Please let us know how you both are
lovely to hear from you. We think of you both often. “

This is my reply in part.
“You’ll be pleased that our faith in Jehovah and Jesus grows along with the hope of seeing again our dead loved ones.
As for being part of Jehovah’s organisation ,wasn’t Jesus killed by the leadership of that historic organisation. Jesus preached faith in Jehovah and himself as the high priest.
Our worship continues. “

I thought this comment may help.
Love u guys❤️🩸

If I may, I would advise first that you ask them if you will be given full freedom to state your case, without interruption. Obviously I do not know the people you contend with, but if there is any similarity in my case and in others I know of, they draw you in with brotherly love and “concern for your faith” only to present you with a fait accompli “hearing” where as you already note, “they have read enough and need read no more”. If anything speaks of their mindset, then that phrase says it all. The way they have treated you thus far, is indicative of their blindness and ultimately, your circuit overseer is embedded in the watchtower system. If he sides with you, agrees with you, accepts your biblical facts, he declares himself apostate. He is an inquisitor, and not your friend. One whom is sent to try you and find you guilty and to confirm your apostasy. Of course he appeared as a pillar when you were likewise blinded, but even then, he could only challenge scripture within limited watchtower parameters. That is what makes him appear fair minded. How can he do otherwise? As you yourself say, he is a pillar in the circuit, but a circuit of lies. You have written your statement. Ask him instead to visit you and discuss their judgement. If he agrees, then you know he is prepared to be be fair. As a pillar, it will show what it is exactly what he supports. If not, then your statement is left as it stands - upon their conscience. Their aim is to discredit you and exonerate their selves. They cannot do that with a silent witness of a written testimony. It is in fact the right thing to do that this man comes to listen to you to hear your complaint, not to try you without first hearing from your own lips, what you have to say in private, or to do so in-front of others that have already condemned you. It’s just my opinion Jerry and Phyllis, but this man is judging you ultimately. He should hear you out first without bias or pressure and moral coercion from others. I hope all goes well for you.

We are under no illusion that they are coming to the meeting with their own agenda and our best interests are not their priority. The statements of the appeal committee chairman in our phone conversation only provided a basis for our decision to attend in person. Had he said "no, we have not read the documents", then we would have told him that we will not attend the meeting until they had read and were familiar with them. Trust us, we are gun shy and very leery with guarded expectations at best. If, at any point, it appears to go irreversibly south, we are prepared to make a final statement and walk out.

Thanks for your suggestions and concern, specifically, the idea of requesting them "to commit to allowing us to state our case" and also, to have our questions addressed. (y)

When the elders rejected us for sharing our beliefs about how wrong the governing body was, we felt panic in their eyes. Panic of thinking for a second perhaps that something like this is true. How would we be without the governing body? One of them came to express. We saw him really affected. Exclusively with Jehovah, dear brother, I answered him. I remember that his anguish was so great that I got up and gave him a hug, giving him comfort. I saw his weakness very clearly and felt compassion. Then the conversation went awry with the topic of child abuse and he showed his B-side and compassion turned to disgust. Yes, these old people create contradiction in me. But I realized the position these men who lead the congregation had chosen to be in. In reality they are just soldiers of the anointed kings who already believe they reign. They will stand before them blindly as if they were Jehovah himself, to defend them. And that is called idolatry that prepares the way for apostasy. So: Go ahead Lord!! Knock on the door!!

That’s good to hear. I hate to see these episodes of hurt. There will be a lot more for so many more too. I hope it goes well for you all the same.

I love this reply from you Ana! Yes, it is so sad that JW's have put all their trust into the Governing Body. At the same time, they have lost their compassion and blindly follow men. It's funny how Google Translates "Elders" which is what I'm sure you meant by 'these old people'! 😅
BTW, to all who read this reply....my husband has been seeing things more clearly every day...he is waking up! So, in other words, I'm trying to prepare him for the day that we will being going through probably the same 'inquisition' as Jerry & Phyllis. I really didn't want to go through it alone. But I was preparing myself if that had to be the case. Things are definitely speeding up and JW's who are awake are leaving in droves. Only the spiritually blinded are remaining in the ORG now. I'm so glad Jehovah woke us up in time! 🙏
