The Watchtower's new blood policy

Hi Melinda, good question.

I see it like this — Revelation 18:4 says "Get out of her, my people, if you do not want to share with her in her sins."

If God says MY PEOPLE are still INSIDE her, then she can't be God's organization. God's organization can't be Babylon. His people are inside Babylon and are told to get out.

Who is Babylon? Revelation 17:5 says "Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots." She is the world empire of false religion — not just one church, but ALL religion that commits spiritual fornication with the kings of the earth for power and money — James 4:4

That includes Christendom, and that includes WT too, because WT was never Jehovah's org to begin with. As I menti9ned yesterday to Nomex. Paul said the mystery of lawlessness was already at work in his day — 2 Thess 2:7, Acts 20:30 — long before WT existed. So the apostasy started in the first century, not with WT falling away.

So who are MY PEOPLE? They are individuals, not an organization. Matthew 7:21 "Not everyone saying to me Lord, Lord will enter the Kingdom, but only the one doing the will of my Father."

They are honest hearted ones scattered throughout all the churches — Catholic, Protestant, JW, Adventist — who love God but are trapped in false teaching. God is calling them out individually — 2 Cor 6:17 "Get out from among them and separate yourselves."

That is why I don't believe it's just WT that became apostate. It's all of them. That's why Dave said what he said — it's a bold statement to assume God's org on earth is the Watchtower. It's an opinion, not what the Bible says. God's temple today is people — 1 Cor 3:16 "you yourselves are God's temple."

His people have to come out of ALL OF IT!
I agree. WT was never God's organization to begin with. You can hold hands, light candles, and sing kumbaya. It's still not God's organization on earth. Well, maybe if you want to say the god of this world now.

I tried to leave this topic alone, and let it go. Unfortunately, you all refuse to do that.

It's hard to produce evidence of a cult being God's organization on earth. One of the more infamous cults that destroyed the lives of many people. If God was picking an organization, he would pick the wt. 🙄
You betray your ignorance. When the judgment begins, God will offer forgiveness to the leaders of his people whom Jehovah says are bloodguilty, provided they listen to him then.

:ROFLMAO: You're just a guy who wrote a book. Gimme a break Nell Carter.

Hey Barn,You are right that some questions are deep and take much reading and faith. I agree. But I don't agree that if Watchtower did not exist prophecy would have no fulfilment.

The lawlessness started long before WT. Paul said at 2 Thess 2:7 the mystery of lawlessness was already at work. John said at 1 John 2:18 many antichrists had already come. Acts 20:30 says from among yourselves men would rise and speak twisted things. That is first century.

That grew into Christendom — Revelation 17:5, Babylon the Great, the mother of the harlots. WT came out of that. So prophecy IS fulfilled, but WT is part of Babylon, not God's org. That is why Revelation 18:4 says "Get out of her, MY PEOPLE." If God's people are inside her, she is not God's org.

And about Dave — Dave came here with honest questions as an outsider so maybe he doesn't quite know how to phrase the question. He still should be treated with patience and kindness, not rude and accusing him of malicious intent. If a member feels frustrated it doesn't give them the right to be rude or accusatory. Read another thread, don't attack.

I appreciate open discussion too, Barn. This is how we learn — build one another up, sharpen our beliefs.
Well it’s probably true that if watchtower did not exist per-se, that it would effect prophesy. But the circumstances by which it exists would need to be self evident if prophesy is to be fulfilled. There must be a fulfilment in prophesy if Jehovah is found to be true.

As for Dave, I of course understand your point. I don’t think I have been rude to him, simply challenging him to be straightforward. Susan and Proverbs et alia have taken time to give him a thorough explanation and their time and helpfulness is not responded to as one might hope. In any like situation this draws comment and which David could quite easily satisfy were he to answer with a modicum of give and take. He chooses another path instead. If one wishes people to help, be nice to them and question further! I have tried to answer his questions in my own way. I’m not biblically literate and I struggle with continuity at times - as I have often said, my appreciation of Jehovah is planted both in creation, and the Bible is an explanation of creation in an additional pathway. Crumbs! How can anyone not look at creation and think who made it?!

On needs to offer an ‘hearing ear’ and suspend their own beliefs if they wish to know. Otherwise sandals and shaking dust from them is given as advice. It obligates the listener first and then the judgement of the speaker. Faith has a certain rigidity in its acceptance. It has to be defended with reason - in that area, equality reigns supreme. David could offer us his understanding could he not and meet us halfway?

You want to get your narrative across, but refuse to listen to anyone else. You're the authority right prophet Robert? Stringing these people along for years. Oh! the sky is falling! 🙄

Trust me the Pentecostal religions are ten times worse than the Watchtower. But you have proven that you pretend to analyze just like a Trinitarian does. It goes round and round in circles because you have no interest in knowing nor admitting the truth. You just hope to question other peoples faith and your true motive is to the gather followers who will then tithe to you.

When I read Brother King’s commentaries, I hear Jesus voice and I believe he is Jesus’ brother. There is another anointed brother that I feel the same way about. I have no doubts about it. But when I read your “questions”, they are more like challenges, it sounds to me like the question posed in Genesis 3:1 (without the cleverness). That was never intended to be a real question but it was a challenge.

Genesis 3:1: “The serpent was clever, more clever than any wild animal God had made. He spoke to the Woman: ‘Do I understand that God told you not to eat from any tree in the garden?’”

As I said, you people here refuse to let this go. Any other time, you would've closed this thread Robert. Not this time though.

Trust me she says. I don't trust any of you, because you're imperfect like the rest of us.

What I could relate about the Pentecostal religion wouldn’t be fit to put on this forum. First hand accounts.

You think I want tithes? :ROFLMAO: I'm not that preacher Susan.

No Barn, I was not referring to you at all. You are always kind with your responses and I appreciate that about you. ❤️ Prov is very nice too.

We're not talking about Pentecostals. We're talking about your supposed "God's organization on earth" WT.

You’re a paid shill, who has nothing positive to contribute to the forum. And, now I will put you on ignore. You have been exposed.
I contribute positively Susan. I positively know that God's organization on earth isn't the WT. I don't make any money from this.

Another comment I made to you without a response was after I listed 6 basic doctrines of JW’s that set them apart from ALL religions I stated that I believe it’s because of those basic doctrines that brought you to the forum to begin with.

Maybe we can pause this thread here.

We all love Jehovah and we all love His Word, we just see some prophecies differently right now. AND THAT IS OKAY. I'm sure there are many topics discussed here that we all dont agree on. I don't think we are going to convince each other in the comments, and I don't want this to become unloving.

Maybe we can leave it in Jehovah's hands for now and let the Holy Spirit guide each of us as we keep searching — John 16:13.
