I’m sorry to hear that Proverbs. It’s a shame that insightful counselling in this country is now banned, outlawed and discriminatory against the immature mind and in the ignorance of its growth. The teacher was actually obliged to tell you, if it helps you to know, because whatever the mindset of the child is, their welfare and safety come first, before their desires in life. That is what child protection is all about. The child was/is vulnerable because they are ‘transitioning’ and this is, as you pointed out correctly, a need to know. The teacher should be reported to child services for endangering a vulnerable child and the welfare of other children.
