Throw your old spiritual food in the garbage

I don’t know whether to like the post, get mad or be sad. The average JW knows nothing about this. It sure as a first time I heard about this but according to the tweet this wasn’t the first time.

This is why they want people to use the app. Easier to get rid of the evidence 😡

Lol You crack me up with your comebacks! Although they are so truthful. I use to be accused of running ahead all the time, over little things, seriously. 🙄
I am amazed at the letter written to Congregations stating to return to the ministry but not door to door ministry. If the door to door ministry is stopped, why are they meeting for field service? Is this for taking a cart out onto the street and leaving it there while the pioneer drinks coffee in a nearby cafe, while watching for someone to pick a magazine and then rush out to not answer any of their questions but to refer them to watchtower.org? Or are they meeting at the hall for field service then, duly “encouraged” go home to write letters to post while wearing a mask?

I still have most of my books and a few DVDs with the library on it, also in Spanish. The only books I am missing are the Reasoning book and the Aid to Bible Understanding, which seem to have grown legs at some point. Reference books are always good to have. I still think the Si book was worth a read for the beginner. It helped me make up for lost time. A person can waste a lot of time in churches trying to learn the basics let alone put some of the pertinent history into perspective to make better sense of why some things happened the way the did or do. I will always keep a hard copy of the Truth book. That was what put me on the path to learning.

I threw out a bunch of books when we moved cross country. My husband was so mad. Now I can show him that the Brothers wanted me to throw them out (and I felt so guilty about it at the time too.)

We still have a few older pubs, the old revelation, the insights, green nwt from the 70's, aid to Bible understanding, all scripture innspired and organized book, the Bible, gods word or man's. Seeing that they want us to throw them all out makes me want to hang onto what's left. I'm rebellious like that 😂

I let some of my JW books and a lot of technical books go during a few of my moves. Sometimes you just have to cut the weight down. You find out who your real friends are when it's time to move.
