Love one another just as I have loved you.—John 15:12.

What does today’s text mean? As Jesus went on to explain, this is self-sacrificing love—love that moves a Christian even to die for a fellow believer if necessary. God’s Word places a lot of emphasis on love. Many people include among their favorite Bible verses the following: “God is love.” (1 John 4:8) “You must love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matt. 22:39) “Love covers a multitude of sins.” (1 Pet. 4:8) “Love never fails.” (1 Cor. 13:8) These verses and others should make it plain to anyone how important it is to cultivate and display this beautiful quality. Genuine love comes from Jehovah—from having his spirit and blessing on a group of worshippers. (1 John 4:7) Is it any wonder, then, that Jesus said that unselfish love would identify his true followers? Just as Jesus foretold, many have recognized his true followers by the genuine love they show among themselves. w23.03 27-28 ¶5-8

If Jehovah's Witnesses are identified by the genuine love they show, who are those of whom Jesus spoke when he said the love of the greater number will grow cold? Surely, Jesus was not saying that the love of the unbelievers of the world would grow cold. If we read the context of Jesus' words it ought to be clear that he was speaking of the love of Christians for God and for each other will grow cold. And why will this happen? Jesus explained it: "Then people will hand you over to tribulation and will kill you, and you will be hated by all the nations on account of my name. Then, too, many will be stumbled and will betray one another and will hate one another. Many false prophets will arise and mislead many; and because of the increasing of lawlessness, the love of the greater number will grow cold."

The apostle Peter forewarned Christians that there would be false teachers among us. The very foundation of the Watchtower is built upon the falsity that Christ came in 1914, that he has been ruling as King and an invisible parousia has been ongoing for over a century. And oh, there will not be another world war. As it stands the millions of Jehovah's Witnesses and many others besides, do not realize that 1914 is a fraud, that it is the operation of Satan that Paul warned about. However, what will happen when all the things the Watchtower has affixed to 1914 suddenly begin happening in real-time -- War, food shortages, pandemics, earthquakes and terrifying sights in the heavens? Then the false prophets will come to the fore. They will issue their life-saving instructions or whatever.

Over the decades the Watchtower has stumbled untold numbers of JWs and interested persons. There is no need to recount all of the issues. Yet, the main stumbling block lies in the path ahead. JWs that have unquestioningly followed the Watchtower will find that they have been led down a dead-end road. Then what? Many will be stumbled and betray one another and hate one another.

To me it is like when you pointed out in advance when they put out that little intro clip of the book of Joel where they showed the locusts as enemies of God's people. Thereafter, they came out and said that was the case and JW's are not the locusts. Now it seems that with that article they are testing the waters and laying the groundwork to point to upcoming world war as if they have been expecting it all along.

You do not understand how the Watchtower works. They have perfected the art of double talk and obfuscation. They are not saying that a world war is inevitable. They are saying the opposite. They are cleverly trying to manage JW's perceptions regarding the recent outbreaks of war and the talk of a third world war. They are saying whatever wars may occur now or in the future are simply part of the nation rising against nation/peace taken from the earth thing that began in 1914 with World War One.

I had seen the news article today called "UK Witness builder kills Witness customer". If this is what a "brother" did, then no doubt things will get a lot worse. Imagine something like this except it's witness on witness. It's no wonder why it is written in the scripture only a few will remain:

Having experienced the vaccine debacle, I can see this is the reality. I think COVID was what my father used to term, “a rude awakening”. But at least some of us are awake now.

Yes, only people who were truly aware of the CSA situation (e-watchman readers etal), which were very few because the general overwhelming consensus from the rank+file was that Barbara Anderson and those of her ilk were blatant apostates, ad infinitum, ad nauseum. So along comes the "land of the living" jab and thankfully many scales dropped from many eyes. Tis a shame that is what it took for an awakening to take place but as the saying goes "some die so that others may live". Incredibly, some people can actually make the statement "thank God for the vaccine".

We know we have come up against the Holy One of Israel here: Christ said to the Woman at the well: We will worship in spirit and truth! So with Ananias and Sapphira; It wasn't their money thier wealth that was in question it was the their recognition of truth and who they were accoutable too Acts 5:2. That was in question. I have had the privilege of residing here for over 8yrs and still learning but the biggest lesson is honesty and truth or are we not up infront of the Most High God and His Son? Jah and His Son love what we do in secret not to man!

Hi Brother PJ54, I can somewhat relate to the Bro, having a serious conflict working for another Bro. Not wanting to kill but maybe badly bruise. I realize this scripture applies to the future. I have worked for Bro.s and employed them only to never want to do it again. This doesn't apply to all of the witnesses. Just look how fast they can work together to build Kingdom Halls, but to personally have a working connection, no way.

I have worked for Bro.s and employed them only to never want to do it again. This doesn't apply to all of the witnesses. Just look how fast they can work together to build Kingdom Halls, but to personally have a working connection, no way.

I only worked for one brother & it went pretty well. I have heard of stories of things going south but I suppose in my case things went well. Unfortunately, he retired & when the "pandemic" happened, he took the poke 2 times & then passed away not long after.

I worked construction and employed mainly Bros for over 40 years. It was largely successful, some bros hung in there 10 plus years. I miss those times. The work sites were way preferable to the “worldly “ ones in that there was way more individual respect and no swearing. Still enjoyed beer and bbq at the end of the week I have very fond memories

When working relationships work with the brothers and sisters it is wonderful but when it does turn bad it can be pretty bad. So glad you have good memories. Most of the brothers and sisters are lovely people.

They are mostly good Susan. My wife reminds me there were always dogs on site too brought along by the boys. . Sometimes when the dogs started fighting I’d line them up and show them a stick and tell them “I’m boss here”. Always worked

When working relationships work with the brothers and sisters it is wonderful but when it does turn bad it can be pretty bad. So glad you have good memories. Most of the brothers and sisters are lovely people.

I had a few jobs that I truly loved in my early adulthood, two of which were bossed by brothers who eventually ended up on my best friends for life list. One was in the health food industry and the other in the swimming pool industry. I dearly love those brothers. I also worked for some brothers in the (drum roll inserted here) janitorial industry. They too were super cool to me. One of my bosses was Walter (Wally) Gobitas from the famous JW Gobitas family. It wasn't until the 90's and after that my working experiences with the brothers got a bit weird. But overall, I had a completely amazing work experience with our dear brothers.
