Trusting in Jehovah includes trusting his human representatives

But here's where the real nuance is...I had a friend of mine trying to tell me the Catholic Church was the "truth" and "God's representative on earth" why? Because they gave us the Bible we use today. OK, well what about King Solomon, who wrote 3 Bible books. So who brought us those books? So who brought us the Bible? In fact that was his question to me, he asked, "who gave us the Bible?" I said, God!! But that wasn't the answer he wanted, it was the counsel of Nicaea, in other words the Catholic Church. But even if it was true, the real author is God, and he uses who he wants to, and stops using them when they prove unfaithful! The reason the Bible books Solomon wrote are in the Bible is because when he wrote them he was faithful. And that has exactly NOTHING what so ever to do with whether they have God's approval now! It ONLY matters if they remain faithful, just like when the nation accepted God as their God, it was only as long as they obeyed God!

So the best indication as to whether we listen to them now, is if they are doing God's will! They are NOT and the best evidence we have of that, is they will be punished when Jesus returns!

And I keep saying this and will keep saying it, the people they LOVE to compare themselves too, especially Moses, Jehovah provided exactly what Moses had asked him to provide...PROOF Jehovah sent him, in the form of the powerful miracles Jehovah empowered Moses performed, The reason Korah's rebellion was so outrageous is because like the Pharisees, they he ignored the God given proof he provided to PROVE he sent Moses! In other words Jehovah DID PROVE he sent Moses, Korah did NOT reject Moses he rejected Jehovah...doesn't that sound familiar...I think maybe even Jehovah said that to somebody!

Bill, the spelling and punctuation of the English language was not standardised until 1755, by which time, those wise enough to get out of England had already left on the Mayflower. At least you didn’t have to be beaten to an unrecognisable pulp if you got a comma in the wrong place! 🤣
 
I was really drawn to reading the last chapter of Isaiah 66 again and here is the first 4 versus.

Isaiah 66:1-4: “This is what Jehovah says: ‘The heavens are my throne, and the earth is my footstool. Where, then, is the house that you could build for me, And where is my resting-place? My own hand has made all these things, And this is how they all came to be,’ declares Jehovah. ‘To this one, then, I will look, To the one humble and broken in spirit who trembles at my word. The one slaughtering the bull is like one striking down a man. The one sacrificing a sheep is like one breaking the neck of a dog. The one offering a gift—like the blood of a pig! The one presenting a memorial offering of frankincense is like one saying a blessing with magical words. They have chosen their own ways, And they take delight in what is disgusting. So I will choose ways to punish them, And the very things they dread I will bring upon them. Because when I called, no one answered; When I spoke, there were none who listened. They kept doing what was bad in my eyes, And they chose to do what displeased me.’”

This is addressed to people who are making sacrifices but their sacrifices are not acceptable because they are not listening to Jehovah and they are choosing “their own ways” and delighting in what is disgusting. It makes me think of how gleeful the brothers and sisters are when they receive commandments of men from the Governing Body, like the tinkling of glasses, beards, wearing of slacks etc. I think it very apparent from their response to the commands of men to be further proof of idolatry, which is often described as disgusting to Jehovah. It also makes me think of how the Governing Body and those taking the lead refuse to be corrected or admit their error.

Leviticus 26:30​

I will annihilate your sacred high places and cut down your incense stands and pile your carcasses on the carcasses of your disgusting idols, and I will turn away from you in disgust.

When Jehovah says that he will punish “them” with the very things they dread, what exactly does he mean? I am guessing that he truly addressing the anointed and perhaps the Governing Body. So, what are the very things they dread that will be a punishment when Jehovah brings upon them? Perhaps it is being exposed for the corruption and fraud in many areas, like the UN partnership, the COVID vaccines and child sex abuse coverups? Any other ideas?
