It is as a free gift that they are being declared righteous by his undeserved kindness through the release by the ransom paid by Christ Jesus.—Rom. 3:24.

When Jehovah forgives, he does so completely and permanently. This allows us to have a good relationship with our heavenly Father. At the same time, we remember that true forgiveness is a gift. It comes from Jehovah’s love and undeserved kindness, which he expresses to sinful mankind. It is not a right that humans can demand. How grateful each one of us should be that Jehovah is the God of “true forgiveness”! (Ps. 130:4; Rom. 4:8) However, our being forgiven is dependent on something important. Jesus explained: “If you do not forgive men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.” (Matt. 6:14, 15) Obviously, then, it is vital for us to imitate Jehovah’s forgiveness. w25.02 13 ¶18-19

Will Jehovah always forgive?

Does Jehovah always forgive you for your sins no matter how bad it is? Does Jehovah ever really hear your prayers and then forgive you?

Jehovah will forgive as long as we have the faith to ask him to forgive us. The danger is that we can lose our faith to such an extent that we condemn ourselves and can't muster the needed faith to repent and return to God, so as to get things patched up so-to-speak. In the 6th chapter of Hebrews Paul did write about the fearful judgment upon anointed Christians who fall away, and he put them on notice that it was impossible to revive them again to repentance because they impale the Son of God afresh. But, it should be noted that that applies to the anointed who have been "enlightened once for all time." The truth is that Jehovah says of himself that he is "good and ready to forgive." It brings God glory to show mercy and forgive, and frankly, it is simply not Jehovah's nature to be vindictive and resentful. But, if we have really lost our relationship with God, in what Paul called: "the sin that easily entangles," we must somehow muster the faith to ask, and keep on asking, and ask some more, until we feel assured that Jehovah has forgiven us. Jesus said on more than one occasion: "your faith has made you well." Our faith in Jehovah and Christ can do the same.

I have always wondered about the anointed and what that understanding must be like. It’s way beyond anything I can imagine in my mind to actually have been informed of such acceptance. I’ve known one such person recant his anointing and that has led me to believe that some kind of emotive euphoria at the time was responsible for his claim. Within watchtower, no one ever spoke about it, and neither did those who claimed it. Such was the contradiction in feelings applied to it, the memorial was full of tension as to whom would have the nerve to claim it. It’s a strange thing to be left to the imagination.

This Ezekiel scripture shows how much Jah wants not to kill sinners: 33:11 "Tell them, As surely as I am alive, declares the Sovereign Lord Jehovah, 'I take no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but rather that someone wicked changes his way and keeps living. Turn back, turn back from your bad ways, for why should you die O house of Israel?"' Notice that this is directed towards the house of Israel, His people? In preceding verses 6-9 of ch33 talks of Jehovah sending His Watchman to the house of Israel to warn them of their error. Now, like Jerusalem then so is the daughter of Jerusalem today continuing in error and needing to heed what Jehovah says through His Watchman.

The closest I can get to describing it is to call it an epiphany: a moment of sudden revelation or insight.
