Keto is the Key (Keyto :)
In order to get your body into "cleanup-mode" you need to be in keto for at least 2 weeks.

Several years ago I did a 3 week water fast myself. I can confirm that even decades old scar tissue suddenly started disappearing... apparently because my body started removing / eating "useless" tissue. Jehovah made it so that when someone is experiencing hunger, the body will first extract nutrients from all over the body before the body will finally decide to break down vital organs.
Cancers started exploding among the population as soon as ppl started consuming highly processed foods and enormous amounts of sugars.
Cut the fuel and cancers will stop growing and the body can start repairing itself.
I tried a 5 day fast but I got so sick on day 4, I couldn’t continue and then it took a week for me to recover. But I can do a 40 hour fast. That is working for me. I have also tried full keto and it works wonderfully but I choose not to permanently eliminate all carbs from my diet and once you go off the keto diet the weight comes right back on. With intermittent fasting, I eat as healthy as I can and I do have carbs but no sugar. So its working for me and I don’t feel deprived except for my fasting days. From my own investigation the real culprit for heart disease, type 2 diabetes and various lifestyle diseases is really sugar and carbs and not red meat. But that’s my opinion and I don’t push that on anyone else.

It is always advisable to do long fasts only under medical supervision. If you do fast for a longer period of time, you should stop immediately if you notice that your body cannot handle it. And one should also read up before starting a longer fast so that you can determine if its for you in the first place, and to learn how to recognize the symptoms that indicate that you need to break the fast. Every body is different so an individual must decide for himself whether he or she is ready.

In my previous post I forgot the word for it, but now i remember: I meant "autophagy".
https://my.clevelandclinic.org/health/articles/24058-autophagy
In order to induce your body to enter "repair-mode" / autophagy, the website of Cleveland Clinic says: "Studies involving animals suggest that autophagy may begin between 24 to 48 hours of fasting. Not enough research has been collected on the ideal timing to trigger human autophagy."

It is really the autophagy that I am hoping for.

You said it. I've had some toenail fungus for years. It doesn't bother me too much but I wonder where it came from. How does that crap actually get under your toenails?! After a month and a half of Keto it had almost disappeared. Other weird stuff. Normally I'm up 3-5 times a night to urinate. On Keto, once or rarely twice, subsequently I slept so much better. Keto is amazing and will teach you a lot about your body. It's fairly easy too. You can eat until your full, just no carbs. A very satisfying "diet".

BTW, I'm avoiding sugar and limiting simple carbs and the weight I lost is staying off. It's probably because I was never hungry on Keto. If you put your body into a "starvation" state, it will slow your metabolism down and you will gain the weight back, there is no doubt about it.

I still get strong cravings for sugar though. It's a plague on modern man, IMO.

I have adopted the Mediterranean diet. I was already well on my way to health and fitness, but I had a 45-minute conversation in November with a former Mayo Clinic heart transplant surgeon that had just done a double bypass and valve replacement on my father, on all manner of subjects but diet was a biggie. It was late at night, and he was waiting for my father to stabilize before going home. No longer are processed foods a part of my life. I am now 58, and people think I am in my forties. Dr. Suneel Dhand was an influence as well. On two occasions he has taken the time to answer my questions. One was on immune system exhaustion or T-cell depletion with multiple vaccines. He is a real doctor.

Apparently chlorine dioxide fixes toenail fungus.

I had some problem with the big toe and had the nails removed, no fuss no muss gone, problem solved.

Yeah, I'll bet that didn't hurt at all. :). BTW, the toenail fungus really bugged me, for some reason, so I tried something a big radical myself. They say if toenail fungus is exposed to oxygen it can't survive. So I went about drilling small holes in the top of my nail. Tricky as I didn't want to hit living flesh. It didn't work.

I’m a committed carnivore and have no interest in changing
I used to tout being pro-carnivorous too, until i considered eating for pleasure vs. eating for survival, and trying to make more compassionate choices. Don't get me wrong- i love meat and feel it has some health benefits in small portions, but living in hawaii one has access to a plethora of healthy grains, fruits, nuts, and veggies and unnecessary killing doesn't seem loving. The taking of a life unnecessarily when there are other delicious and health food options seems to violate the principal of sanctity for life.

That’s your opinion and not scripturally based. When Jehovah said that people could eat animal meat it was his idea and it wasn’t humans asking for it. So, take it up with Jehovah. Your statement that taking animal lives violates “the principal (sp) of sanctity for life” is not from Jehovah so where is it from? Sorry you don’t get to make rules and you are not God. I don’t believe in either vegetarianism nor in eliminating all carbs. So, while I choose for myself to eat meat I don’t push my choice on other people. Animals were created by Jehovah and he gets to determine the rules, I follow them and don’t try to make-up my own.

You are just the opposite extreme from these people, https://www.carnivoresummit.co/.

Yes we were meant for a Gen1:29 diet. How lovely the thought of feeding along with the animals at a fruiting bush!

The fact is, there are several different blood types and consequently people do better on diets that are more compatible with their type. I am a type that can eat anything. However, living in cold country and being cold-natured I gravitate toward meat and heavily cooked foods in the winter. But in the summer I hardly eat any meat and instead do better on lighter foods and juices, tending toward raw, especially freshly picked from the garden. Just picked the season's first lettuce offering this morning.

Sorry it does not say exclusively forever will humans eat vegetation.

Genesis 9:3: “Every moving animal that is alive may serve as food for you. Just as I gave you the green vegetation, I give them all to you.”
Further, I think its interesting to note that Jehovah could have provided temporary food for Noah and his family via Manna or some other way. It doesn’t take long for vegetation to grow. But he choose to add animals to the human’s diet and did not say it was temporary. The idea that in the new system we will go back to solely vegetation is pure speculation and I’m confident that Jehovah will provide the perfect guidance at the perfect time. But let’s be honest about where people are getting the idea that eating animals is actually a sin.

1 Timothy 4:3-5: “They forbid marriage and command people to abstain from foods that God created to be partaken of with thanksgiving by those who have faith and accurately know the truth. For every creation of God is fine, and nothing is to be rejected if it is received with thanksgiving, for it is sanctified through God’s word and prayer over it.

One thing I really enjoy about this comment is that Watchman is revealing what he has decided for himself and he isn’t trying to shame others into adopting his personal opinion.
