I’ve caught quite a few deer in the headlights before but what happens when you catch a kangaroo in the headlights? Agh!!!
At certain times of the year and particularly after a good rain in the outer regions you will see them lined up along the side of the road. The rain next to the road ponds and causes grass to shoot and they come in to nibble on the shoots.

They keep Crash Repairs in Business and Crows and Wedge Tail Eagles well fed. A full sized Roo will make an absolute wreck of the front of your car. Most Outback cars will have Roo Bars on the front but sometimes they will get over the top and into the Windscreen. A Farmer once had one come through the Windscreen and then when it panicked it began kicking with it's big back haunches and made an absolute meal out of him. That's rare though.

What do you mean he made a meal out of him? 😲

Slang for tore him up. Didn't kill him but ripped him some decent wounds.
@4JahandChrist Goodness! That’s a lot worse than what we experienced when we caught a deer in our headlights! When my oldest daughter ( who lived in Australia) was starting to drive we were driving down a country road and she ran into a deer! When I looked out to the side of the road to see where it was…it was gone! But it smashed the hood of the car! Good thing was because of this kind of accident/ damage our insurance paid for it all. Another good thing was that no one was ripped of any wounds.
