Until finally the GB openly admits what Robert has been warning about for decades.
The last articles including the open letter apparently had its effect....
Yes, and I understand that in part the article is intended to keep "up to date with current events." But the part where they point out that the "terrible scenes" that Jesus spoke about in Luke could include nuclear detonations and that the use of nuclear weapons does not imply the destruction of the earth because Jehovah would not allow it draws a lot of attention... it is basically one of the arguments that you have used for decades when talking about this topic.I think they are just trying to use current events to remain relevant. The sudden war that erupted between Pakistan and India had people talking about nuclear war since both countries possess WMDs. But because the gears grind slowly at Watchtower Inc., by the time they put together an article and posted it on JW dot org, the war in South Asia has ended as quickly as it began.![]()
Yes, but in view of how slowly the Watchtower gear is advancing, at least before they said categorically, even in assembly outlines, that a nuclear war was not possible... at least now they say that it is possible... that is an "a great advance"If you read the article carefully, they are cleverly saying that there will not be a nuclear war. Why? Because the Bible doesn't say that there will be one. At least they imagine it doesn't. A few months ago, they published a global warming article and absurdly claimed that climate change fulfilled Jesus' prophecy about there being fearful sights and great signs from heaven; however, in this ridiculous article, they claim the prophecy was fulfilled in 1945 when the US exploded two atomic bombs over Japan. They go on to say that if there were a nuclear war, God would not allow them to destroy the earth, but they neglect to point to what Christ said about the great tribulation, namely, that unless God cut short those days, no flesh would survive. So, even though Jesus Christ clearly explained that divine intervention will be necessary to prevent the extinction of mankind, the Watchtower claims the Bible doesn't say anything about nuclear war. No wonder Jehovah long ago stated that only terror will make them understand.
Thanks. I remember that time i tried to find it and cannot do itEl titular de JW.org es, en realidad, un artículo reciclado de principios de este año. Lo comenté en e-watchman.
You seem to have wanted the Spanish version, hereThanks. I remember that time i tried to find it and cannot do it
This sounds very much similar to what you have written. They seem to have taken an about face. HmmIf you read the article carefully, they are cleverly saying that there will not be a nuclear war.
