War in heaven.

And it stood still on the sand of the sea. (Revelation 13:1)
Revelation 12:8 ...nor was a place found for them any longer in heaven.

No conspiracy Mike, at least not with me. I question everything due to my cynicism and mistrust.
You can help yourself get out of that rut of mistrust by being diligent in questioning. The bible points it out: build your faith upon rock and it goes on to explain how. You do not even have to read all of it to convince yourself either. As the bible says, one starts with a foundation stone laid upon rock. Following that you build each following stone upon it. Checking to see if each bit fits. If nothing ever fits, then either you have not laid the foundation stone properly, or you’re trying to put a square peg in a round hole. Either way, you are the mason responsible because the correct materials are there for the taking. Freely. One does not have to use the bible. Creation speaks for itself and has the name of Jehovah stamped upon each living cell as with the giant sequoia tree General Sherman at 275 feet tall and 2,200 years old. Cynicism is a two edged sword. The sensible thing to do is hold it by the handle not the blade and so keep control of it. That way one can wield it to their benefit.

We have bible veses showing that spirits have a body, they have feelings and they can pass out before Jehovah. They have different powers, according to their position and possibly having a dwelling place. The heavens are very likely another dimension we are not able to see, due to the limitations of our senses. Our mind though is made in God's image and can reach places our body can't. Our mind needs knowledge and through that knowledge we are able to see a lot of things. Jesus gave us that knowledge. He informed us about Satan's existence and about the kingdom of heaven. Before that, humans didn't know much about the heavenly realm.
The war in heaven very likely not literal. Mostly like a court room, where Satan and his angels try unsuccessfully to defend their precarious position. The real fight is on earth where every member Jesus's body successfully stands against Satan and his visible representatives. Once the members of Jesus's body are being resurrected there is no place for Satan in heaven, because the old organisation of Jehovah becomes Zion, and the old heavens cannot be part of it.

Revelation 12:10-11
[10] Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers and sisters has been thrown down, the one who accuses them before our God day and night. [11] And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death.
