Warning about latest Smartphones and Tablets

91mobiles and Kuba Wojciechowski have discovered new references to a new feature that Google is currently developing for Pixel smartphones. Purportedly, Google is working towards integrating 'Find My Device' functionality that works even when the device is switched turned off. In short, it seems that Google is planning on aping Apple, which already offers a comparable feature across its product stack.

According to the pair, Google will market its 'Find My' alternative as 'Pixel Power-off Finder'. Thus, it should soon be possible to locate lost devices even after they run out of power, courtesy of Bluetooth Low Energy signals. While its name suggests that it could be a Pixel smartphone exclusive, it may well be available to non-Pixel smartphones via its deep integration within Android 14.

As it stands, the functionality is expected to launch with Android 14. Hence, Pixel Power-off Finder should debut during next month's Google I/O 2023 conference, where the company is also rumoured to release the Pixel 7a, Pixel Tablet and even the Pixel Fold.
Fittingly, Google is rumoured to have developed an AirTag alternative, codenamed 'Grogu'. Google appears to be following a similar tactic with Apple's 'Handoff' too, which will be available on the Pixel Tablet.

-Avoid all Apple devices
-If you need a Smartphone get one that's old. Mine is from 2015 and only supports up to Android version 6. Usually Android phones stop support after one update. So mine started with version 5.
-If you need a Smartphone you can't be ignorant. You need to educate yourself. Make sure you get the oldest Android version supported possible.
-Turn off updates and make it manual.

Do not be fooled, this is location tracking that works even when it's "off" via some ultra-low power circuitry. They can very much be used to track you since it's a Find My Device function. It works conjunction with location of the phone. They are not going to hide this from you, because it's advertised as a good feature.

The reason I'm telling everyone to "avoid all Apple devices" is because they support much longer OS updates, while Android devices usually stop pretty short. You do need explicit hardware support to get this feature working, so if you get an old enough Android phone you'll be fine.

With Apple you might need to get something really old like iPhone version 8 at the latest.

After the EMP, all cell phones will become useless paperweights anyhow... So...
The Smartphones themselves will work, as long as it can be charged. There's a video of a company doing EMP tests, and an iPhone survived radiated EMP.

Radiated EMP vs Line EMP
-Radiated EMP: Via nuclear strikes in the atmosphere, or solar flares. Indirect contact
-Line EMP: You have the EMP travelling through the AC line. Direct contact.

Almost nothing is going to survive the second one, but surprisingly lot of devices will survive the first one. Solar panels themselves won't get killed by it. What will fail is the electronics that are required to use the solar panels. It's also rather simple to protect them from radiated EMP further.

You are right in the big picture. You won't be able to communicate with them if the grid is down, which means you won't have cell towers. Ok, maybe each tower has a backup power, but you need the central command to make it all work(the provider).

I have a basic solar panel setup which I put together myself. The electronics are to help with regulating the charging of the batteries. You don't actually need it but it helps. If it gets zapped then I go to old fashioned means. Worst case, you charge it for an hour or so and let it rest, then go back at it. A battery cannot be charged more than it's own capacity. Current regulation and over-current protection is a must though. Mine are on mini breakers.

Solar cells aren't like batteries and you lose a lot without those electronics. It's also unlikely you'll run into overcurrent protection charging with a solar panel unless your panels are absolutely oversized compared to the battery you are trying to charge.

I am off grid on them right now. If I hear that nuclear wars are coming soon, they are gonna be shielded.

If everything but the panels and batteries gets fried then it doesn't really matter what I may lose. It's like when I talk about prepping and stocking up. Someone always has a counter point that shows they don't realize how bad it will get. If it comes to it, I will pick up dead wood out in the woods and cook my supper with that.

Personally, when the time comes for the beast government to track me down for my stand for Jehovahs sovereignty, why would I try to hide from the inevitable? Why hide your Bible or your location or anything else that connects you to your relationship with Jehovah.
I’ll broadcast it from the highest rooftop.

I heard similar arguments before that it could be tracked anyways.

The Find My Device feature pinpoints your location. It'll be able to tell you within an inch of accuracy where you are, and all the information of the device. And it makes it super easy to find you where as with using other methods(tracking radio signals) takes far longer and is far less accurate with lot less information.

At the end sure, but right now I don't care for it and I'm pretty sure many feel the same way. During Armageddon I'd be honored to be among that declares judgment.

If you do not wish to be tracked, take the chip out of your phone and feed it to a 700 pound Sumo wrestler in his rice bowl and watch them try to get it back from him. Rumour has it that Jehovah may help us out anyway, so you may be worrying needlessly. The sumo option should cheer you up.

It's been covered here many times CJ. Best phone to get is one you can remove the battery from. That's going to go back a few years...but it's really the only way "they" can't track you.

BTW, that's the main reason batteries aren't detachable today. That and they don't want the plebs replacing them themselves. That could save the poor suckers a few bucks and lengthen the life of their device.

Acts 4:20

20 But as for us, we cannot stop speaking about the things we have seen and heard.”a

Acts 23:11

11 But the following night the Lord stood by hima and said: “Be of good courage!b For as you have been giving a thorough witnessc on the things about me in Jerusalem, so you must also bear witness in Rome.”d

Acts 26:16

16 Nevertheless, rise and stand on your feet.a For to this end I have made myself visible to you, in order to choose you as an attendant and a witnessb both of things you have seen and things I shall make you see respecting me;

Matthew10:

18 Why, YOU will be haled before governors and kings+ for my sake, for a witness*+ to them and the nations. 19 However, when they deliver YOU up, do not become anxious about how or what YOU are to speak; for what YOU are to speak will be given YOU in that hour;+ 20 for the ones speaking are not just YOU, but it is the spirit of YOUR Father that speaks by YOU.+ 21

I don't believe that Satan needs a chip in a phone to track people down

Seriously where are we going to hide if Satan demands to sift us as wheat.?

Luke22:31 “Simon, Simon, look! Satan+ has demanded to have YOU men to sift YOU as wheat.

I really do not know why people worry so much about world events. It’s natural to fear the unknown, but to dwell on it and allow it to get under our skin is only going to detract from our resolve. We look forward to the end. What a contradiction that is! Where to live, what to eat. Are we to be promised deliverance and left to starve? That’s what the Israelites said. From what I have come to understand from the end game scenario, we will all be left with one choice - have faith or die. We will be totally dependant on Jehovah for the necessities of life. We may prepare all we want, but it will come down to that at some point. One thing for sure, and that is to ask ourselves the ultimate question - do we want to live in this world as it is? I try not to concern myself more than necessary, having resolved that question.

I always thought it was wonderful how Jesus help doubting Thomas rekindle his joy.
Perhaps Jesus may help others to rekindle their joy as well.

John20:

24 But Thomas,+ one of the twelve, who was called The Twin,* was not with them when Jesus came. 25 Consequently the other disciples would say to him: “We have seen the Lord!” But he said to them: “Unless I see in his hands the print of the nails and stick my finger into the print of the nails and stick my hand into his side,+ I will certainly not believe.”+26 Well, eight days later his disciples were again indoors, and Thomas with them. Jesus came, although the doors were locked, and he stood in their midst and said: “May YOU have peace.”+ 27 Next he said to Thomas: “Put your finger here, and see my hands, and take your hand+ and stick it into my side, and stop being unbelieving but become believing.” 28 In answer Thomas said to him: “My Lord and my God!”+ https://www.jw.org/en/library/bible/bi12/books/john/20/#v43020024
