how can you sit through assemblies? I attempted the circuit last month, and had to restrain myself at the constant praising of the GB who "got us safely through the pandemic" and "aren't we all so grateful we had the direction of the organization to keep us safe"... clap, clap (puke, puke). I could only last until lunch
That is sickening. Good thing you left before lunch or you may not have been able to hold it down.

When listening, again, to this video, what jumps out at me is that Robert King asks the listener if they felt God’s spirit while active in the congregation. I can honestly say that I did, without any doubt, feel God’s holy spirit at work. However, I do think that changed with the vaccine updates in 2021. Even those I am still in contact within the congregations are telling me that the meetings are “flat” and now different. I am not attending and so I can only recall that the public talks had been transforming over the last few years as nothing inspiring or enlightening. Before that, although not all talks were stellar, some were. Some talks really infused us with spiritual vigor. But I did not experience any feelings of holy spirit at work for several years before the vaccines. That is just my personal observation.

And, I think it very relevant that Robert King points out that God’s word encourages us, in this time period, to seek Jehovah’s righteousness. My own take on that is to not trust in men who tried to kill all of us with the vaccine. I would assume the Governing Body did not initially realize the dangers, but I know they know it now. And, it is still required for the schools. And, they are pushing ever younger ones into being Elders. It is now deliberate.

We know this scripture all too well and we can only seek Jehovah through his word and prayer and then act on what is true. How could we possibly go wrong in sticking to what is true? We are challenged right now but there are examples of others in the past who endured threats to their lives from their own brothers and sisters. No doubt that is why the true prophets were often in the wilderness.

Zephaniah 2:3: “Seek Jehovah, all you meek ones of the earth, Who observe his righteous decrees. Seek righteousness, seek meekness. Probably you will be concealed on the day of Jehovah’s anger.”

I appreciate your balanced View.

Psalm146:

146 Praise Jah, YOU people!*+Praise Jehovah, O my soul.+ 2 I will praise Jehovah during my lifetime.+I will make melody to my God as long as I am.+ 3 Do not put YOUR trust in

[ Watchtower] nobles,+Nor in the son of earthling man,* to whom no salvation belongs.+

James4:

8 Draw close to God, and he will draw close to YOU.+

Isaiah 44:22

22 I will wipe out your transgressions just as with a cloud,a and your sins just as with a cloud mass. Do return to me,b for I will repurchase you.c

Isaiah 55:6

6 Search for Jehovah, YOU people, while he may be found.a Call to him while he proves to be near.b

The slave that did not understand> https://e-watchman.com/slave-not-understand/

I shall have to correct you to the proper degree> https://e-watchman.com/shall-correct-proper-degree/

Here is an important quote from the article, which is very insightful:

Now, if necessary re-read what Jesus stated above as regards what he intends to do when he arrives at an unexpected hour. He said he “will come alongside and minister to them.” In other words, the judgment of the slave coincides with the parousia. Not only that, as has been pointed out, the parousia is used interchangeably with the Greek words epiphaneia and apokalypsis, which are translated as manifestation and revelation, respectively. So, in the case of the faithful slave Christ’s presence alongside his disciples is undertaken so he may minister to them directly – no doubt post-lashing; whereas, his presence, or manifestation to the evil slave, or man of lawlessness, results in his being done away with. Here is what the inspired apostle wrote in that regard: “Then, indeed, the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord Jesus will do away with by the spirit of his mouth and bring to nothing by the manifestation of his presence.”

Obviously, Jehovah’s Witnesses have no inkling of any sort of future parousia. Nor does the concept of a glorious manifestation or revelation of Christ hold any meaning either. No doubt this is why the coming of the Son of man will be at an hour thought unlikely, since the object and manner of the Lord’s return has been so thoroughly obfuscated by the Watchtower from its very inception. And it is also why even the faithful slave is destined to be beaten with a few strokes for having ignorantly perpetuated the 1914 hoax and many other evils.”
