[Jehovah] called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.—1 Pet. 2:9.

We can show that we love the truth by regularly studying the Bible and Bible-based publications. After all, no matter how long we have been in the truth, we always have more to learn. Study is hard work, but it is well worth the effort. Not all of us love to read and study. But Jehovah invites us to “keep seeking” and to “keep searching” for a deeper understanding of the truth. (Prov. 2:4-6) When we put forth such effort, we always benefit. Regarding his personal Bible reading, Corey says that he focuses on one verse at a time. He explains: “I’ll read every footnote, look up every cross-reference, and do additional research. . . . I get so much out of my reading with this method!” Whether we use that method or another, we show our appreciation for the truth when we put time and effort into studying it.—Ps. 1:1-3. w22.08 17 ¶13; 18 ¶15-16

Thursday, December 28 – There is not a word on my tongue, but look! O Jehovah, you already know it well.—Ps. 139:4.
Prayer is not the only avenue we can use to strengthen our bond with Jehovah. A study of God’s Word and attendance at congregation meetings can also help us to draw closer to God. Is there anything you can do to make the best use of study periods and the time you spend at congregation meetings? Ask yourself, ‘What tends to interfere with my concentration during the meetings or when I am trying to study?’ Could it be receiving calls, emails, or text messages on your smartphone or on some other electronic device? When you notice that your mind is wandering during a study period or a congregation meeting, ask Jehovah to help you focus. It may not be easy to set your concerns aside and focus on spiritual things, but it is essential that you do so. Pray for the peace that will guard not only your heart but also your “mental powers.”—Phil. 4:6, 7. w22.01 29-30 ¶12-14
It is amazing. Jehovah knows everything. It is even more amazing that he is willing to share himself with us down here and really help us. They say that the human brain is the most complex thing in the universe. That makes sense since Jehovah designed the human mind to be able to ponder the depths of God’s unfathomable mind.

Satan has a brilliant mind too. Ezekiel describes him as being full of wisdom. But he became haughty. The Devil is waging a war against our minds. There are innumerable lies that people believe. After all, Revelation reveals that Satan is misleading the entire world.

But it is worse than just lies and deception. The demons are intent on destroying our minds, or at least crippling our ability to think clearly and to be able to reason effectively and to just be happy. At the forefront of their assault on our brains is serving up nutrition-depleted food and fake foods that have no nutrient value and are laden with toxic chemicals. The brain is very sensitive and cannot function properly when it is overloaded with toxins and heavy metals. The plague of mental illness, depression, anxiety, Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and a growing list of neurological disorders is evidence of the effectiveness of the demonic assault on our physical brains. Then there is the informational overload designed to not only distract us but clutter our minds with useless trivia. Turn the TV off is a good place to start in defending ourselves.

We need heaven’s help to safeguard our mental powers now more than ever. “Do not be anxious over anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication along with thanksgiving, let your petitions be made known to God; and the peace of God that surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your mental powers by means of Christ Jesus.” – Phil 4:6,7

It would be wonderful if the Watchtower followed its own admonition and continued to seek the truth. Have those brothers charged with supplying food at the proper time kept studying and searching? It does not seem so. Rather, it seems to me that all of the actual research happened years ago, and over recent decades, the Watchtower has been committed to maintaining belief in past errors. It is a tall task. Of course, I am talking about 1914 and all that goes with it.

By the way, I have produced "Bible-based publications" to direct attention to the imminent second coming of Christ. Do you realize that the Watchtower claims that the second coming of Christ has already occurred? Most JWs do not. That is because the producers of Watchtower Bible-based publications do not use that term. They prefer to say that the parousia has begun or that the last days started in 1914, but once in a great while, they will say that the second coming has occurred and people just don't realize it. Although the WT belittles those who do not believe in a second coming, it is actually Jehovah's Witnesses who do not believe in the second coming for the simple reason they have been deluded into imagining it has already taken place.

Even so, the Watchtower teaches that Jesus is coming in the future, making it a third coming. So, why doesn't the Watchtower speak of the third coming of Christ since that is what they believe to be true? Is it because people would realize how convoluted the whole 1914 teaching is? Has the Governing Body and its helpers really sought to get a deeper understanding of the truth? How can they make such a claim?

What might we expect this next coming of Christ to bring? Let the Bible answer: "Woe to those who yearn for the day of Jehovah! What, then, will the day of Jehovah mean for you? It will be darkness, and not light. It will be like a man who flees from a lion and is confronted by a bear, and when he enters his house and leans his hand against the wall, a snake bites him. Will not the day of Jehovah be darkness, and not light; will it not have gloom, and not brightness? - Amos 5:18-20

Artificial intelligence can come up with some strange and wonderful things. It is the stuff of dreams and nightmares. AI arranges thoughts preserved as bits and bytes and rearranges them as ordered. It is like the human mind does when we are asleep. Dreams are conjured from thoughts, impressions and images.

It is disconcerting, perhaps a portent, that the first robot has committed suicide.

LOL! This shows how badly those in the world want AI to actually be seen as something that exists with a conscience. That it actually has life within itself, and that it is self aware. If you can make the world believe that AI is like us and is operating for the benefit of mankind, it will be much easier for the world to accept it when it is given power over us. AI is the future for humanity, but I have a feeling instead of committing suicide, its going to be a killer.

Jehovah will have to intervene in this to save His people.

Indirectly it's already serving as a killer in that it's replacing humans in the job market. Think of all the people it's already replaced and they've only just begun.

I just got a disturbing thought. Imagine if AI bots replaced the GB serving in the temple of Jehovah. Then the disgusting thing in the temple would be AI. I'm sure that's just a far fetched idea or is it? They might start out as helpers.
