Few trials can leave us feeling more discouraged than when a family member or a close friend leaves Jehovah. (Ps. 78:40) The closer our bond is with the person, the more difficult it can be to accept the situation. If you have had such a painful experience, Zadok’s example of loyalty can strengthen you. He remained loyal to Jehovah when his close associate Abiathar chose to be disloyal. This came about when King David lay on his deathbed. His son Adonijah tried to seize the throne that Jehovah had promised to Solomon. (1 Chron. 22:9, 10) Abiathar chose to support Adonijah. (1 Ki. 1:5-8) In doing so, Abiathar was being disloyal not only to David and Zadok but also to Jehovah! For decades, Zadok and Abiathar had worked closely together as priests.—2 Sam. 8:17; 15:29; 19:11-14. w24.07 6 ¶14-15

Does leaving the Watchtower organization equate to leaving Jehovah? That is the opinion the Governing Body fosters. But it is not necessarily true. It is true that many are leaving the Watchtower. But it seems that those who are leaving did not really have a deep personal relationship with Jehovah and Jesus to begin with. For them, the Watchtower is just another religion and a burdensome inconvenience. On the other hand, is it possible to abandon Jehovah and stay in good standing and even be among the leadership of the Watchtower Society? And the answer is yes. Absolutely, YES. The real apostates are honored as spiritual giants. To be sure, though, that will not always be the case.

Everyone in Israel knew that King David was dying. And Jehovah did indeed choose his successor in Solomon, who, ironically, became an apostate in his old age. Anyway, Adonijah, who was the older brother of Solomon and probably felt entitled, schemed to grab the throne before Solomon was installed as king. And he was successful to a limited extent.

We know that God made a covenant with David for a kingdom and that one of his offspring would be the Messiah. As it stands, the Watchtower claims that the Son of David has already been crowned King. Supposedly, he became King in 1914. He did not. The coming of Christ will impose a test of loyalty upon everyone because, at the time of Christ's coming, there will be an opposer, a man of lawlessness, who will claim to be the true leader. In fact, Jesus forewarned that many false prophets and false Christs would arise and mislead many. Although it is impossible for JWs to grasp, at that time, leaving behind the Watchtower will be the only course leading to salvation.

Que ejemplo más poderoso sobre como debemos tratar a cualquier persona que peca por muy grave que sea su error. Siempre es tan bueno hablar del reino antes del juicio que todos debemos de tener que no deberiamos de tener reparo sobre las circunstancias en la que se encuentren.

I feel that many who leave Jehovah do not have a deep personal relationship with Jehovah as you so rightly point out. But that is the fault of the watchtower to a great degree. The fact that on the surface, watchtower show a significant insight into Jehovah stems largely from their insight pro-rata with that of Christendom of whom essentially, know nothing at all! After all, watchtower is largely an illusion when it comes to the deep understanding of Jehovah and it proves false to its power as you frequently point out but initially, there is growth through the milk of the Word. Unfortunately, the milk is not enough to sustain faith and not being able to freely question what comes after the milk, the flock withers. If it was all the fault of the adherents, what would be the point of destroying watchtower? Even basic watchtower adherence requires great changes in people’s lives that stem from an independent point of appreciation for righteousness and a longing for peace that watchtower has - to a degree until put to the test.

Compare that with the truth as it is exposed here where one is confronted with facts and given a fair hearing in application through argument. How could one expect growth within watchtower where even to question such tripe as 1914 results in expulsion? Thus growth in appreciation for Jehovah within watchtower is just as mirrored by the parable of the seeds - planted upon stoney grounds. All many of the brethren need is food at the proper time. It would certainly be interesting if watchtower were forced to argue with you at law. Maybe that’s what they are afraid of.

What an applicable scripture!! “A man burdened with bloodguilt for taking someone’s life will keep fleeing to the grave…..”. And is that not what watchtower is doing all the time now - fleeing before criticism; forever defending itself in one place after another, and in one teaching after another, hammering square pegs into round holes that never tell the truth of the scripture. Their preaching is leprous, running sores that never heal the soul.

All many of the brethren need is food at the proper time. It would certainly be interesting if watchtower were forced to argue with you at law. Maybe that’s what they are afraid of.

Here, here! If 1914 was the return of Christ then the scriptural food on offer at that time would surely be proper?????? If so then they would not have spent the last century rewriting propecy!!!! There was a time where learned brothers and sisters prayed for the opportunity to take part in open debate on scriptural matters. Now they fear such questioning and label those who dare 'keep on asking' as apostate!
