Thanks for posting this eye opener Barry. Most helpful. I feel we begin to see the rise to power here, the revelation of true intent behind watchtower. What is written by them is very artful and appears to have been processed through a law-mill by their home grown squad of attorneys. It’s a sad thing to read.
 
I am a sheep and no one has come to my door in close to thirty years. I know Jesus is going to have a comeuppance with the GB and they will not have their lawyers present. I sorry this subject makes me really bitter. I hope the WT loses every legal battle into the billions of dollars.
 
I didn't notice this before, its difficult to read even notes from their nonsense now, but this one really got my notice..."Believers are expected to use their power of reason" ...oh really? Well I did exactly that. And with my "power or reason", my God given "power" of "reason" my "Bible trained power of reason" I reasoned out exactly who Paul was talking about when he said a certain someone have sat themselves on Jehovah's throne.

That is literally what they are doing, "sitting on Jehovah's Throne" every single time they say something like, " we want to obey Jehovah and Jehovah's Orginization". In others words "Jehovah's Orginjzation" IS Jehovah, and who is "Jehovah's Orginization"? It is the GB, and they have singled themselves out for judgement, by claiming none of the other annoited are part of Christ's "faithful slave."

I still find it remarkably difficult to believe. Their whole TV evangelize "updates" didn't do them any favors either. Those are a lot harder to white wash like the 1975 fiasco was. Their pride is exposing who and what they really are.

And isn't it interesting Paul actually said, "not to be quickly shaken from your reason"... pretty sure that's NOT the kind of "reason" the GB want us to use!!! It's almost like Paul somehow knew it would happen? Weird huh? But I think I'm gonna go with Paul though...I actually believe him! He's credentials are a little more qualified IMO!

Paul warned many a time: Acts 20:29,30 "I know that after my going away oppressive wolves will enter in among you and will not treat the flock with tenderness. and from among you yourselves men will rise and speak twisted things to draw away the disciples after themselves"
But of course this warning was made null and void when the irreproachable holier than thou gb arrived! We take heart knowing Jehovah takes notice of them and describes His hatred of them in Isaiah 65:5 "They say, Keep to yourself; do not approach me, For I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nostrils, a fire burning all day long." Jehovah surely has endured much smoke these passed years!

I agree and in response to @barry notes of the “unspoken word” I must say it has a familiar ring to it. Note Genesis 3: 1-5 says “Now the serpent was the most cautious of all the wild animals of the field that Jehovah God had made. So it said to the woman: “Did God really say that you must not eat from every tree of the garden?” 2 At this the woman said to the serpent: “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden. 3 But God has said about the fruit of the tree that is in the middle of the garden: ‘You must not eat from it, no, you must not touch it; otherwise you will die.’” 4 At this the serpent said to the woman: “You certainly will not die. 5 For God knows that in the very day you eat from it, your eyes will be opened and you will be like God, knowing good and bad.”

Doesn’t that sound eerily similar? Your thoughts…It’s a trick of the mind.

Can't believe they said that out loud...."unspoken message".
Perhaps their legal department has determined and advised that this will afford them a degree of legal protection if their message is only implied. :unsure:

With every update, they’re revealing themselves as the man of lawlessness — and just like the members of Christendom, the rank and file are more than happy to go along with it.

2 Thessalonians 2:3-4: 3 Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way, for that day will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness[a] is revealed, the man doomed to destruction. 4 He will oppose and will exalt himself over everything that is called God or is worshiped, so that he sets himself up in God’s temple, proclaiming himself to be God.

Very true. But they have shot themselves in the foot if they intend to use mere inference as a means of control because they underestimate not only the natural inclinations of man to interpret things in a manner that suits himself, but also the need of men to be led. Ergo - shepherded. It reflects also their impotency in spiritual matters and even their lazy, self-satisfied guile in thinking that their self appointed kingship over the brethren is enough to influence the flock merely by the wink of an eye. If they wanted to make their entitled appointment redundant (any more than they already appear so) then they could hardly have chosen a better way. They cannot admit to their lies, and in desperation, they have turned to the fantasy of innuendo. In England, that is a form of suggestive humour, so I’m looking forward to reading their efforts ……nudge nudge, wink wink, as we say here. 🤣🤣
