Why are trinity people so obnoxious?

Well there I go again. I wasted my time yesterday on another trinitarian, even after commenting in this thread. Same result as always. I throw the obvious scriptures out there and he comes back with that I shouldn't worry about words so much as the concept. That one brought out the sarcasm in me so then he disappeared. If words don't matter then why bother even reading the bible? You can make it up as you go along. Firstborn doesn't mean born first. It means something else, so he said. It just means he's more privileged or his ranking. That's how I left it. I told him to start over with a blank slate and no preconceived ideas handed down for generations and then let God's word do the talking.
He actually tried to tell me that 1st century Christians believed in it and that's where I really nailed it to the wall. 1st century is written history and can't be refuted.

The Trinity isn't simply illogical it violates all fundamental basic Aristotelian logic all three laws law of identity law of non contradiction and law of excluded middle or as Ayn Rand phrased them non contradiction, either or and a is a

My father in law is full on into the trinity, had a debate with him last Friday. He had no answers to my points, no defense nothing, yet he won’t examine his trinity belief with the scriptures i provided. He refuses to be wrong and he’ll avoid any critical thinking because he can’t win. The annoying part is he refuses to change or learn. Yes trinity people can be annoying and stubborn.

Well, they don't read the Bible so there's that, but I think the bigger question is why did Jehovah have the Bible written if he didn't want us to read it, and more to the point, we each answer individually to God so you better know what he has to say in "his word."
I told him to start over with a blank slate and no preconceived ideas handed down for generations and then let God's word do the talking.
And that is my point. JW's do this too, they have an idea already in their minds, and they try to find scriptures to back it up. They are using the Bible as a "echo chamber". They do not sincerely search the Bible for Bible truth!

Some of them can't handle simple and logical evidence I think. Others are deeply indoctrinated that's not me giving approval for that sort of behavior. But looking at it with some sympathy, empathy and a bit off knowledge I can say that it could potentially be very hard to reprogram the believes/ subconscious believes we picked up from ages 0-7 I think some Trinnies grew up like that but others found that "truth" (sarcasm obviously) later on in their lives. Also I think a honorable mention is that our war is not against flesh and blood so therefore Satan somehow has alot of them in a chokehold. But honestly it depends on the individual.

When we do a little helicopter view/ zoom out moment I do think/believe that people in general hold on to their core believes/believe system they picked up in a time in their lives when they were in a state of fear. Speaking from my own experience ( just to make it clear I am not talking about trinny believes but general subconscious believes) I found it very hard to change my core believe system surrounding my own self esteem. It's still an ongoing process and I have to repeat and relearn certain thought patterns that are/were rooted in fear.

So to come back to the question I think that alot off trinnies have picked up those believes in some sort of fearful/survival state of being. Therefore they may perceive it as part of themselves that's being attacked. I read and investigated alot about the human psyche and how the nervoussystem works. I am not an expert but it surely did drew my interest. When I wanna know something I digg deep. I am a deep diver and my still waters run deep.

(also side note I tried logging into the forum and I accidentally went to the wrong website I was so confused hahah)

They can be obnoxious, but I believe it's a lack of discernment on their end. Trinitarians believe what they're told concerning God. It usually goes no further than the preacher/pastor at their church or whatever family and friends tell them. They refuse to believe that they've been lied to. It's a type of herd mentality.

Jehovah's Witnesses have the same mentality. Try explaining to them that 1914 is wrong. They refuse to believe they have been lied to, too.

This is true. I actually have the 1984 WT about 1914. I wish I knew what percentage of modern day Jehovah's Witnesses believe the 1914 teaching. This would be the average attendance at a kingdom hall, and excluding the pimo people. I guess I'll never know.

Once I realized they were lying about 1914, it opened up a whole new line of reasoning for me. Which kind of answered a big question i had for decades, which is, "how is it, someone can die the day before Armageddon, (I know technically that's not what R&F believe, but they do believe that), but essentially, there is no difference between a person whether they die now, or at Armageddon there is no real distinction. One thing I realized after learning 1914 was indeed a deception, is that it is all predicated on the belief that everyone has the "Mark of the Beast" unless and until they become a baptized JW! Then they get the "mark" removed. Which is pure nonsense, but we believed it because those whom we trusted taught us that.

So, what I think it all comes down to, at least and most certainly for the Great Crowd, will be whether they take the "Mark" or not. The requirement to get into heaven is on a whole other level. In other words, yes the Anointed cannot take the Mark either, but that's not all they have to do, or not do, I guess is what I am getting at! The Anointed instantly become perfect and Christ vouches fro them, for the rest of us it is going to take a thousand years, or so it seems. Maybe not the whole thousand years, but WT has speculated the Resurrection will happen in reverse order so to speak. In other words those who have died most recently will be resurrected first, and there seems to be good reason for thinking that, including those born closer to perfection, right after Adam and Eve and especially prior to the flood won't take as long to become perfect.

But RK is completely right, you can't convince any JW that they are wrong about 1914, which is becoming more and more remarkable, especially for someone like me. I was placing that 1984 magazine at the doors when I was 14!

Wow! I never knew that. Did the organization justify that from scripture? The mark? If so where?
