As discussed in an earlier thread, in one of Robert's articles regarding the prophetic pattern revealed in Hosea 6:2. Robert had explained that the “revival of the chosen ones after two days” and their being “raised up on the third day” reflects a prophetic pattern pointing to the experience of the anointed, those who are to be buried with Christ in his death and share in the likeness of Christ's resurrection. This parallels with what the Apostle Paul had stated in Romans 6:4–5, where he connects the baptism of the anointed, with Christ’s death and resurrection.
Additionally, Robert clarifies in his article, that the phrase “their coming to life and living before him(on the third day)” points to the moment when the anointed will receive immortality or life within themselves, just as Christ himself had received immortal life from Jehovah after his resurrection on the third day.
This of course, is true. However, it must also be noted that “the third day” mentioned in Hosea 6:2, further expresses a deeper prophetic meaning beyond the recevial of immortality and resurrection of the chosen ones. The "third day," in this regard, also symbolically represents the start of the millennial or 1,000yr reign, a period when those anointed ones(upon being raised to immortal life), will be granted full authority alongside Christ, just as Jesus was granted all authority upon his resurrection on the third day. -Matt 28:18. On the symbolic “third day” the anointed will be granted royal authority over nations, to judge and to co-rule with Christ for a symbolic "day" or 1,000yrs.
Of course, this interpretation is further supported by what had occurred upon Jesus resurrection on the third day. According to Matthew 28:18, after his resurrection on the third day, Jesus had declared to his disciples that “all authority in Heaven and on Earth” had been given to him. This means that upon the resurrection of Christ on the third day, not only had Christ been granted immortality, but he had also declared that he received all authority "in Heaven and on the Earth."
Likewise, in the same manner, the anointed, upon them being raised up on the prophetic “third day,” will receive what Christ had received upon his resurrection. -Romans 6:4-5. Thus, not only must the chosen ones be given "life in themselves(immortality)" on the symbolic "third day," but they will also be given authority "over the nations," just as Jesus himself received. In this sense, Hosea 6:2 points to a divine timeline -- the beginning of the millennial-reign of the 144,000, in which the anointed are granted power to judge, rule, and to shepherd the nations alongside Christ Jesus.
This truth is echoed in Revelation 20:4–5, where the vision reveals that upon the anointed “coming to immortal life,” they will be seated on thrones and will given authority to judge. Their co-rule with Christ will have officially begun, lasting for 1,000yrs, which pictures "a day" or in regards to the prophecy of Hosea 6:2, "the third day."
Jesus also affirms this in Revelation 2:26–27, when he promises his anointed disciples, "the one who conquers and continues in my deeds until the end, I will give authority over the nations, and he will shepherd them with an iron rod, just as I have received from my Father.” Again, these words demonstrate that since Jesus was granted authority after his resurrection on "the third day," then, so too will the faithful anointed receive their authority to judge, as co-rulers of God’s Kingdom on the symbolic "third day."
Furthermore, the statement “to live before him(Jehovah)” clearly signifies an intimate standing in Jehovah's presence. It implies a close relationship of intimacy, acceptance, and full access to Jehovah God. This of course is also reflected in Revelation 22:4, where it is stated that the anointed, having Jehovah's name written on their foreheads, will “see his face” -- a representation of their divine approval and their permanent standing before Jehovah.
In connection, this too is reflected in Revelation 14:1, where the 144,000 are seen standing on Mount Zion with the Lamb, bearing the new name of the Lamb and name of Jehovah upon on their foreheads. Furthermore, in Revelation 3:12, Jesus describes these same ones as “conquerors,” declaring that he will make them “a pillar in the temple of his God” and that they will never leave it and in verse 21, declares that these same ones "will sit down with me on my throne, just as I conquered and sat down with my Father on his throne."
Therefore, altogether, Hosea 6:2 reveals far more than a restoration or resurrection prophecy. It unfolds a powerful vision of Jehovah's purpose, a prophetic timeline in which the anointed are resurrected, glorified and are installed as kings and priests in God’s Kingdom at the start of the millennial or "the third day."
