This news does not pass the smell test. Every country knows that the US never honors their promises. Ask Russia about the Minsk Agreement. This is laughable

BREAKING: United States will not interfere if Iran attacks Israel. United States and Iran have come to an understanding.

Iran assured the US it would not target US facilities, and in turn, the US said it would not get involved if Iran retaliated against Israel.

Back in the early 90s, Kuwait was slant drilling and stealing Iraqi oil. Sadaam asked the US ambassador, April Glaspie, if America would intervene if he punished Kuwait. The answer was "no." Sadaam invaded. Then came Bush's finest hour when he interrupted prime-time TV to declare: "This will not stand!" Poor Sadaam got duped. I doubt the Iranians would be so stupid as to believe anything the Americans, British, or Israelis say.

Wow I did not know that part of the story… so he not only got duped he got murdered.

There were two Iraq wars. The first one was Desert Storm. But because the US had armed Iraq to fight Iran they did not take Sadaam out after destroying the Iraqi army. Then 10 years later, after 9-11, the US invaded Iraq and executed Sadaam. I think he was talking about selling oil in Dinars instead of Dollars. Nothing will get you killed quicker than that. That's why they murdered Momar Qaddafi and destroyed Libya.
