Kingdom Hall after three years on Zoom

Well, what an eye opener. Very low attendance, no sense of unity. Families seem to be split into some ,or one ,attending whilst others on zoom, even amongst elders families. Where has the spirit gone? We live a couple of minutes from the Kingdom Hall.

I would still probably be attending meetings if the org had taken the stance that covid 'rules' didn't have much rationality based on health, and how important meeting in person should continue to be. The GB pivoted, and people got comfortable. Its a difficult narrative to reverse.

Amen to that. They do not really believe their own propaganda that you cannot make it into the new system if you are not engaging in the field ministry and attending meetings. The idea that telephone witnessing and letter writing were even remotely the same was always, has been and always will be a complete joke. Same with Zoom "meetings". And again with the obvious propaganda that you should dress like you were at the "meetings." So why is it exactly that we should "dress up" when we go to the Kingdom Hall?" Well because it is Jehovah's House!!!

In reality Zoom meetings were always "virtual meetings" In other words, "make believe meetings" in exactly the same way as "life" was "life" in the movie the Matrix. Not real life, made up, fake make believe reality. Coincidentally, an awful lot like Christ "invisible presence in 1914." Fake made up reality. No wonder it was so easy for most JW's.

The other side of this coin, is they also discredited themselves with how "important" meeting attendance is. Even the most hard core brain washed PIMI, even without knowing it, experienced the destruction of that narrative, when you have people in Babylon the Great getting arrested for the first time in 150 years for "going to church." Even the "wicked" in Christendom, realized these "mandates" were not legal, and therefore had their charges dropped. Imagine what kind of "Witness" Jehovah's Witnesses could have made by refusing these Unconstitutional and unlawful mandates, if the leadership and a sliver of a backbone, and had stood up to Satan's governments instead giving in, and desperately trying to find justification for their disloyalty by citing Roman's 13!

COWARDS! Liars! Offspring of vipers...

And now because of the stupidity of shuttering the Kingdom halls, they created in the minds of ALL JW's, "Zoom meetings are just as good as in person meetings", that is until the GB says they aren't. Problem is, the toothpaste is already out of the tube, and it is NOT going back in!

That was a spot on analysis

For my congregation it looks like about 50% in person and the other 50% on zoom. We have over 150 publishers and during regular meetings there are about 40-50 screens on zoom. Since they're not announcing the attendance at the hall it looks roughly like about half/half.
It surprises me since the CO has numerous times indicated that we should attend in person if not elderly or sick.
Since I moved to the congregation during Covid there are still friends I've never seen in the hall.
Last Sunday we had our assembly with branch representative (Enter into God's rest) and it was kind of scary to see how empty it was. During the spring I think we were over 700 and now during the morning 501 and 1 person baptized. The afternoon session dropped to 462.
I took some notes during the assembly and it was scary the amount of times it was mentioned to follow instructions from Jehovah through the GB even if the advice seems not logical.
If there is interest I can post my notes in a separate thread.

Thank you for giving us a description of what you’re seeing. I am interested and appreciate it.

I'm in a very zealous congregation with lots of young people. (English congregation in a Hispanic neighborhood)
I think this would be a congregation by congregation basis. I have heard many are staying on zoom in my area. I wouldn't be surprised if that is the case still.
What happens is that the witnesses are very much affected by the world. Hispanics are less affected by the leftist, woke propaganda.

I remember living in Toronto and Calgary. Both places it snows a lot and gets very cold. One day in Toronto we were going to a Sunday meeting(must have been since it was early) and it said -40C on the car thermometer.

The kingdom halls rarely ever closed due to snow.

In Vancouver? They close at the slightest sign of snow. I remember laughing at how the snow plows got stuck because it snowed a lot. The excuse is that it's for the elderly. I get that, but is it a coincidence that it happens a lot less in the colder, snowy places? Or, maybe, the way the world thinks rubs off to JW's in a significant way?
My local congregation is high attendance and lots of love. I zoom more than most of them :ROFLMAO:
My dad goes in person to the meetings. My mom basically always attends through zoom, though she goes to actual field service.

I always wore my suit on zoom meetings.
