He will go out in a great rage to annihilate and to devote many to destruction.—Dan. 11:44.
This attack by the king of the north, acting along with the rest of the world’s governments, provokes the Almighty and brings on the war of Armageddon. (Rev. 16:14, 16) At that time, the king of the north, along with the rest of the nations that make up Gog of Magog, comes to his end, and there will be “no helper for him.” (Dan. 11:45) The very next verse in Daniel’s account gives more details about how the king of the north and his allies will come to their end and how we will be saved. (Dan. 12:1) What does this verse mean? Michael is another name for our ruling King, Christ Jesus. He has been “standing in behalf” of God’s people since 1914 when his Kingdom was established in the heavens. In the near future, he will “stand up,” or take significant action, at the war of Armageddon. That battle will be the final event in what Daniel calls the greatest “time of distress” in history.—Rev. 6:2; 7:14. w20.05 15-16 ¶15-17

On the Edge of the Abyss Part 1

Over the past few years a new and significant dynamic has emerged in the world in the form of the Russia/China alliance. Other nations are orienting themselves to the newly emerging power, including Iran, Turkey, Japan, the Philippines and many nations of Asia.

Up until last year America acted as the world’s sole hegemon, that is until Russia intervened militarily in Syria to prevent the illegal overthrow of President Assad. And as 2016 came to a close, America’s army of Islamic terrorists have been defeated in Aleppo. If anything marks an historical turning point it is this development. Putin’s successful intervention in Syria is the reason for the anti-Russian hysteria flooding the mainstream media in America.

With the emergence of Russia and China and the One Belt-one Road initiative sweeping Asia and Africa, and the decrepit economies of Europe and America facing collapse, Anglo-American ambitions of global dominance have been confronted with their most serious challenge since the Second World War. So far the response of London and Washington has been to ramp up the propaganda war and prepare for nuclear war.
Of course, empires and nations come and go. That process has been going on as long as there have been nations. And no doubt most people assume that history will continue to unfold in the same way going forward. But there is a non-human factor to consider.

From a biblical perspective, the nations of this world are a temporary arrangement. Just as God lovingly provided Adam and Eve with animal skin clothes as they faced the harsh world outside of Eden after their expulsion from paradise, God has allowed and even supported various governments over the centuries in order that these might provide some temporary benefit. As inadequate as modern civilization may be, the alternatives —tribalism and anarchy —are not preferable alternatives.

The apostle Paul revealed the extent of God’s involvement in human affairs when he wrote to Christians living in Rome, then the capitol of the empire, saying: “Let every person be in subjection to the superior authorities, for there is no authority except by God; the existing authorities stand placed in their relative positions by God. Therefore, whoever opposes the authority has taken a stand against the arrangement of God…”

To put things in perspective, although the Roman authorities persecuted Christians —even putting Christ to death —the empire also facilitated the rapid spread of Christianity in various ways. A recent Watchtower article highlighted ways in which Pax Romana may have benefited Christ’s ministers in the first century.

There is a caveat, however. The “existing authorities” are a temporary “arrangement of God.” At a certain point —no one knows the day or hour —the various governments of this world will no longer function as the “superior authorities.” The reason being, that the coming of Christ will result in a change “in their relative positions” toward the incoming King of kings.

The second Psalm expresses the epic changing of the guard this way: “Why are the nations agitated and the peoples muttering an empty thing? The kings of the earth take their stand and high officials gather together as one against Jehovah and against his anointed one. They say: “Let us tear off their shackles and throw off their ropes!” The One enthroned in the heavens will laugh; Jehovah will scoff at them. At that time he will speak to them in his anger and terrify them in his burning anger, saying: “I myself have installed my king on Zion, my holy mountain.””

Christ Jesus also spoke of a time during the conclusion when the nations will be agitated and terrified by his very presence. Jesus foretold: “Also, there will be signs in the sun and moon and stars, and on the earth anguish of nations not knowing the way out because of the roaring of the sea and its agitation. People will become faint out of fear and expectation of the things coming upon the inhabited earth, for the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then they will see the Son of man coming in a cloud with power and great glory.”
Although the kings of the earth have supposedly already gathered as one against Christ as foretold in the prophetic Psalm, even the Watchtower in all of its 1914 hullabaloo does not claim that the nations are in anguish due to the roaring of the symbolic sea of humanity. Yet, the Psalm and the prophecy of Christ obviously speak to the same situation.

Since the nations do not acknowledge Jehovah they will not accept the Kingdom of Christ as having any authority over them. Instead of relinquishing their power to him the ruling elites will presume to perpetuate their human scheme after the point when Christ is installed upon God’s throne in heaven —making them presumptuous rebels and usurpers before God. Their gathering as one will undoubtedly take place when the eighth king is empowered; when the symbolic ten kings give their power and authority to the beast for the symbolic one hour, after the beast emerges from the abyss it is about to be plunged into.

This will, in fact, be the basis for judgment. Those who support the human scheme after Christ has come will be marked with a symbolic 666 —“a man’s number” —indicating that they are opposed to Christ’s Kingdom. And that is why those who receive the mark are doomed to everlasting death, since they will demonstrate that they refuse to accept the rule of Christ.

What does any of this have to do with the changing political scene today?

Excluding the eighth king’s short-lived reign, according to Bible prophecy, there is only one successor to the Roman Empire, which is without a doubt the present Anglo-American dyad. We should not, therefore, expect Russia or China to eclipse London and America as the world’s dominant power.

But given Russia’s military parity with the USA and China’s commitment to science and global economic development, unless something radically changes China is certain to become the most powerful nation on earth, and America is doomed to become a third world nation, albeit with a huge arsenal of nuclear weapons. Obviously, something has to give. And Bible prophecy indicates what is to occur.

Strangely, at this most critical time in history the Watchtower has, for the most part, gone silent on prophecy. No doubt the reason the self-proclaimed watchman class has nothing to say is because of their assumption that it has already all been said. Nothing could be further from the truth. Consider the book of Daniel as a case in point.

The seventh chapter of Daniel depicts a bizarre 10-horned wild beast that succeeds the Grecian Empire. But an 11th horn emerges later and plucks out three of the ten horns. According to the Watchtower, this phenomenon occurred gradually over the course of several centuries —beginning when the Spanish Armada was defeated by the British in 1588. The Watchtower is skimpy on the details of how the loss of a few wooden warships brought down the Spanish kingdom or how the Dutch of French kingdoms may have been overthrown in the 1800s.

On the Edge of the Abyss Part 2

The 8th chapter of Daniel portrays a fierce-looking king that comes on the scene to challenge Christ. He will bring to ruin the mighty ones of the world along with the holy ones. But after 2,300 mornings and evenings God’s sanctuary is restored. According to the Watchtower the Anglo-American dual world power brought the mighty to ruin during World War Two and crushed Jehovah’s Witnesses. But then in 1944 God set everything straight. This is an excerpt taken from the December 1, 1971 Watchtower:

After the Society’s directors and its officers were elected by the shareholders there represented, consideration was directed to six amendments that were proposed for the Charter of the Society, which was a Pennsylvania corporation incorporated sixty years earlier, in the year 1884. These would amend Articles 2, 3, 5, 7, 8, 10. The first amendment resolution that was adopted proposed the enlarging of the purposes of the Society so as to assume properly the great worldwide work that lay ahead. Also, this amendment put God’s name, Jehovah, into the Charter. Amendment Three did away with the original charter’s provision that fixed one’s membership in the Society on the basis of one’s money contributions to the Society; henceforth the membership was to be limited to not more than 500, all of whom were to be chosen on the basis of their active service to Jehovah. As the Watchtower issue of November 1, 1944, said in its report: “This amendment will have the effect of bringing the charter as near to Theocratic arrangement as the law of the land permits.” All six amendment resolutions were adopted.
It was necessary to get the approval of the State court so as to make all these amendments legal. The following year (1945) the Amendments were duly recorded and thus became part of the Charter. With such an amended Charter the Watch Tower Society has served as a legal instrument of the anointed remnant worshiping Jehovah at his “sanctuary” or “holy place,” ever since.
Nicely timed, though the anointed remnant was then not aware of it, came the publication of the leading article entitled “Organized for Final Work” in the October 15, 1944, issue of The Watchtower. Right on its heels, in the November 1 issue came the leading article announcing “Theocratic Organization in Action.” Under appropriate subheadings this article discussed “President,” “Diakonos, Servant,” “Qualifications,” “Governing Body,” and “Theocratic Conduct.” The term “president” here did not refer to the president of the Watch Tower Society, but paragraph 12 said: “The elders in the congregations, who were also spiritual overseers thereof, presided at meetings of the disciples. Any elder thus acting as chairman of a meeting would be the president of the gathering on that occasion.” Under the subheading “Governing Body” paragraphs 33, 34 said: “In the first century it was the group of the apostles in particular, together with the body of elders that they associated with them at Jerusalem, that made up the visible ruling body of Jehovah’s Theocratic organization on earth. . . . That governing body was not made up of perfect men.”
In the article that followed the above, in the same issue of The Watchtower, namely, “The Theocratic Alignment Today,” paragraph 3 said: “The visible governing body of the Theocratic organization is and must be appointed only by Jehovah God the Supreme Ruler, and Christ Jesus the Head of His church. Its purpose is to issue directions and spiritual provisions to all God’s people. Acting in harmony with the governing body, all the Theocratic organization and its associates act in unity throughout the earth.”
What, then, does all that combination of significant events at the critical time indicate? Apparently this: that Jehovah’s “sanctuary” or “holy place” was “brought into its right condition” on time, at the end of the 2,300 evenings and mornings, in early autumn (October 8-22) of the year 1944.
No doubt very few of Jehovah’s Witnesses are aware that the Watchtower ever published such nonsensical drivel as above. That’s probably a good thing. Amazingly, though, it is still the Watchtower’s official teaching.

The Watchtower’s interpretation of the prophecy of the kings of the north and south is similarly riddled with absurdities; for example, the Watchtower supposes that the USSR ruled over the hidden treasures of the USA by forcing America to spend an inordinate amount of money on defense, when in reality the opposite is true —the USA forced the Soviet Union into economic ruin during the so-called arms race. Also, the most blatant disregard for the scriptures is on display in the Watchtower’s insistence that the king of the north does not subjugate the king of the south, that both are on hand when Michael stands up. Clearly, though, that is not the case.

The Watchtower has effectively painted itself into a corner. And there is no way it can extract itself without repudiating virtually everything it has written in interpretation of prophecy.

Needless to say, though, God is not bound by the Watchtower’s version of reality. The hard truth that Jehovah’s Witnesses will soon be confronted with is that Christ did not begin ruling the world in 1914, nor did the time of the end commence then. The aforementioned prophecies of Daniel are yet to be fulfilled, commensurate with the Son of man coming in his Kingdom.

As it stands presently, there is no way Anglo hegemony can continue. Given the beastly nature of empires, simply acquiescing to the rising power of Russia and China is not likely. The only way forward is conflict on a global scale heretofore never experienced in all of history.

Throwing Truth to the Earth Part 1

February 10th, 2018

This is an updated revision of a previously published article.

The world is full of lies and liars. And it is no wonder, the presently presiding overlord and god of this world is none other than Satan the Devil – the Deceiver and “the father of the lie,” according to Jesus. The extent of Satan’s influence can be gauged by considering that the 12th chapter of Revelation states that the Devil “is misleading the entire inhabited earth.” In other words, Satan is misleading the whole world.
Unfortunately, the chief demon’s work is made much easier due to the fact that people – most people anyway – actually prefer to believe lies. That is evident in so many ways. One simple example: Parents routinely lie to their children by tricking them into believing that Santa Claus and the Easter Bunny are real. A small thing perhaps, obviously innocent to an extent, but do not such lies subconsciously condition a child to accept lying and deception as normal?

And that is just the beginning. The Big Lies are institutionalized. Consider: As soon as children enter school they are subjected to the insidious lies of evolution and atheism. And if they receive any religious “education,” regardless of the religion involved, they are certain to be indoctrinated into a whole range of falsehoods. One virtually universal lie is the fraud of the immortal soul. But because the lies come from respected sources of authority, most people do not have the resources within themselves to resist believing what they are told.

Back in the 1950s when television was introduced to the Western world the social engineers realized they had a very powerful tool to persuade and misinform. Back in 1981 one such programmer boasted: “I know the secret of making the average American believe anything I want him to. Just let me control television…. You put something on the television and it becomes reality. If the world outside the TV set contradicts the images, people start trying to change the world to make it like the TV set images.” (How the British Use the Media for Mass Psychological Warfare.)
600x600bb-85-300x300.jpg

That statement was made almost 40 years ago and look at the insipid and degrading programs that are now being broadcasted into millions of homes? Ironically, program producers call the most degrading and popular programs “reality TV,” apparently because the mind-numbed viewer conforms to the unreality in which they are immersed. (Maybe some of the Pentecostal sects are on to something in their refusal to bring television into their homes?)

Consider the lies associated with 911. As was common knowledge at the time of the attack nearly all the hijackers were Saudi nationals. None of them were Afghanis or Iraqis. Yet, after the attack the Anglo-American combine immediately invaded Afghanistan and started beating the war drums against Iraq and invaded that nation shortly thereafter. Incredibly, even a year after the lies of Saddam’s WMD program were exposed a poll revealed that more than 40% of Americans still believed that the Iraqis had weapons of mass destruction and were responsible for the September 11 attack! Reality TV indeed!
9-11 Twin Towers in flames

More amazingly, even though the take down of the Twin Towers with a kamikaze-like attacks using hijacked passenger planes was repeatedly shown around the world on television, apparently a growing number of people now believe the fantastic tale that the US government rigged the buildings with tons of explosives to detonate after the planes smashed into the towers —as if the impact of speeding aircraft carrying tons of jet fuel were not enough to do the job! No doubt the disinformation serves the purpose of the real criminals – distracting and disorienting the public.

Throwing Truth to the Earth Part 2

But the truth dribbles out in drips and drabs.

The Guardian reported that British armaments company, BAE, was accused of a billion-dollar bribe to a Saudi prince in exchange for a weapons-for-oil barter. The deal would provide Saudi Arabia with sophisticated warplanes and London with one tanker of oil, per-day, for perpetuity, which would give the London traders sufficient leverage to control the global oil trading markets.

Documents have since come to light that have revealed Prince Bandar, the recipient of the billion-dollar bribe, funneled money to family members of the 9-11 hijackers in the US at the time when the Saudi terrorists were in flight school. (EIR)

Another lie that emanates from London has to do with the phony war on drugs. Supposedly, the reason the Anglo-American coalition invaded Afghanistan was to root out the Taliban and Al Qaeda. Despite the fact that the so-called insurgents profit from poppy production, the invaders have refused to shut down the opium business. But why wouldn’t you cut off the source of funding your supposed enemy uses to purchase weapons? As it turns out, immediately prior to the invasion of Afghanistan the ruling Taliban actually sought to suppress heroin production. According to a UN report in 2007, after the invasion opium production skyrocketed, particularly in the British held territory of Helmand. Of course, London has a century and a-half long history of promoting opium production in Asia.

The massive increase in opium production since the invasion has a geo-political motive. The vulnerable populations of Russia, Europe and America appear to have been intentionally slated for destruction. Now, after record poppy harvests coupled with the illegal flood of prescription opioids, the opioid epidemic in America is killing over 100 users everyday. (The Opioid Epidemic-A Deliberate Policy – video) That is what the empire calls “mission accomplished!”

coke-cia-300x187.jpg

As the scripture says, the love of money is the root of all evil. How true that is! Besides the drug lords, who are nothing more than middlemen in the enterprise, at the root of the drug crises destroying the fabric of civilization is the fact that laundered drug money is a primary source of profit for the big banks and offshore hedge funds. That truth briefly came to light a couple of years ago, during the height of the financial crisis. The Guardian reported that a UN advisor revealed that drug money saved the banks from total collapse because it was the only source of liquidity at the time. One of the original drug money banks, HSBC, was set up by the British in Hong Kong during the period of the Opium Wars. To this day HSBC continues in that role as primary money launderer, its officers being unofficially declared to be to big to jail. And if you think that the notion of big banks and the deep state running drugs is fake news, consider the fact that about 10 years ago a CIA jet crashed loaded with four tons of cocaine. Nor was that an isolated incident.

Interestingly, as of the first week of February, 2018, President Trump has quietly allied with three Russian intelligence agencies, ostensibly to coordinate a genuine war on drugs. Although blacked out in American media the Russian news agency, TASS, has reported on the historic alliance. No doubt the inclination of the American president to establish constructive ties with Russia is the impetus for the unprecedented, around-the-clock, media-hyped Russia hysteria, assault on Trump. Imagine, a mere head of state having the audacity to actually wage a war on drugs and dare to disrupt the empire’s trillion dollar business!

National governments are an anathema to the financiers for this very reason, because they have the power to regulate and impede the latter’s criminal enterprises. Look at what has happened in Europe with the European Union. Nations were lured into the union with the promise of prosperity. Instead, those nations have forfeited their sovereignty are subjected to austerity —to a banker’s dictatorship.

As an example of the impact of a loss of national sovereignty Brussels has dictated that no nation can erect barriers to prevent the deliberate flood of Islamic refugees. Hungary and Poland have defied Brussels and other Euro nations are similarly reacting to preserve some semblance of national identity. After all, is it really a nation if it cannot defend its borders from unwanted immigrants or the flood of illegal dope?

Ultimately, it is the intention of the neo-Venetian empire to dismantle the nation-state system altogether and impose a form of global communism.

Do you think that is unlikely? Keep in mind that God originally set up the conditions for individual nations. He did that some 4,000 years ago when he instantaneously reprogrammed the language facility in the minds of mankind in order to force them to leave off the tower-building project imposed upon the world of that day by the Devil’s man in opposition, a certain Nimrod. The various language groups had no choice but to spread out and fill the earth, as God had commanded.

But now the multiplicity of languages no longer hinders Satan from using a single tyrant to rule over peoples, tongues and tribes. And, come the time of the end it is God’s will that a supranational government arise in opposition to the Kingdom of Christ. You see how that works? Satan is no match for Jehovah. God can turn the tables as he pleases and use Satan’s schemes to accomplish his will. (See Habakkuk)

However, presently standing in the way are powerful independent nations such as Russia, China and Iran. That is why since the collapse of the USSR a quarter of a century ago the Anglo empire has ringed Russia, China and Iran with literally hundreds of military bases and anti-missile installations. (There are in total over 1,000 US military bases and installations outside the US.) There are also a dozen or so submarines that continually prowl the seas, submerged for long periods of time, that are capable of launching ICBM’s with multiple warheads at a moment’s notice.

Throwing Truth to the Earth Part 3

1652145987567.png

Even as Iraq, Syria Afghanistan, Libya, Yemen and Somalia lay in ruins —having been destroyed by the Anglo-American-terrorists juggernaut, according to the propaganda spewing from Western CIA/MI6-linked media, Russia, China and Iran are the aggressors simply for preparing for the inevitable war London is certain to unleash against them. Truly, this is a vivid demonstration of throwing truth to the earth. Without exaggeration, the Russophobia that is being promoted by the media is leading to nuclear war.

According to Bible prophecy the last kingdom, also known as a “fierce looking king,” will not only keep throwing truth to the earth, he will act with success. That seems to indicate that, although the fierce king does not ascend until the time of the end the process of throwing truth to the earth must precede his ultimate success. But to be sure, though, the biggest lies and blasphemies are yet to come –certain to coincide with the actual presence of Christ.

So too, the sacred word reveals that the king of the north will be successful in his campaign of intrigue and subtle and “will do as he pleases, and he will exalt himself and magnify himself above every god; and against the God of gods he will speak astonishing things. And he will prove successful until the denunciation comes to a finish; because what is determined must take place.” —Daniel 11:36

Given the obvious success of the empire to date in promoting all manner of deception, whether through outright lies and propaganda or lies of omission, it does not require a great leap of imagination to identify the prophetic last king. Specifically, Daniel 8:11-12 states: “And all the way to the Prince of the army it put on great airs, and from him the constant feature was taken away, and the established place of his sanctuary was thrown down. And an army itself was gradually given over, together with the constant feature, because of transgression; and it kept throwing truth to the earth, and it acted and had success.”

It is worth noting that on the day the so-called House Intelligence memo was made public (February 3, 2018), revealing that the Russia collusion was actually on the part of the opposition party and British intelligence, who are conspiring with the empire-aligned deep state to undermine and oust the duly elected president, the American stock market experienced the largest single day point drop in history. This past week the DOW experienced another 1000+ point drop, making it one of the biggest market plunges in history.

download.jpg

Was it a warning shot across the bow, so-to-speak, reminding the renegade president who is in control? Especially might that be the case in view of the fact that the hated POTUS has taken credit for the 30% rise in the markets since his election. Although market analysts might be inclined to explain the recent market turmoil as part of a normal cycle, which it may be, but the fact of the matter is, since the 2008 crash the central banks have pumped trillions into the stock and bond markets of the world. That is hardly part of the “natural” cycle of buying and selling. In fact, banks are now the biggest holders of stocks. For example the Swiss National Bank “owns” around $90,000,000,000 in U.S. stocks! That means the holders of such massive positions can also reverse the flow and become sellers. And if synchronized with other banks and hedgies, coupled with massive short selling and margin calls, the handful of central banks and associated commercial banks could easily crash the entire system, virtually overnight and actually profit from it!

The question is, will they? The prophecy of Daniel answers in the affirmative, saying of the fierce looking king: “His power will become great, but not through his own power. He will bring ruin in an extraordinary way, and he will be successful and act effectively. He will bring mighty ones to ruin, also the people made up of the holy ones. And by his cunning he will use deception to succeed; and in his heart he will exalt himself; and during a time of security he will bring many to ruin.” —Daniel 8:24,25a

Just think if the financial system totally crashed. All the billionaires whose wealth is tied up in stocks and bonds would be wiped out. Nations that depend upon tax receipts and borrowing from central banks would be brought to their knees. Truly, the mighty ones would be ruined.

How might the holy ones be brought to ruin as well? That question has been considered in dozens of articles on The Watchman’s Post as well as in the book, Jehovah Has Become King.

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 1

October 20th, 2013

This article was originally written in October, 2013, but has not been updated as of October, 2014.
As all of Jehovah’s Witnesses realize – and many others besides – 2014 marks 100 years since the kingdom of God is purported to have begun ruling. And apparently the Society is not waiting for October to do damage-control, but is being preemptive with the very first Watchtower of the year and two articles entitled: 100 Years of Kingdom Rule – How Does It Affect You? and “Let Your Kingdom Come.”
Instead of taking the apologetic approach to the fact that it has now been a century since C.T. Russell announced to the gathered Bethel family on the morning of October 2nd, 1914, that the kings of this world have “had their day,” as only the Watchtower can do, in the first article the writing staff have cleverly turned the 1914 debacle into a centennial celebration, of sorts; using the occasion to tout the accomplishments of the Watchtower Society over the past 100 years!
chior at annual meeting
And as of October 2014 the celebration of a century of Kingdom rule is in full swing. Over the Summer conventions a publication was released entitled God’s Kingdom Rules! And the theme of the 2014 Annual Meeting of the Watchtower Society was touting the historic nature, not merely of what occurred in 1914, but rather 2014 – as marking a grand century of Kingdom rule. (The program for the 2014 Annual Meeting can be watch in its entirety on the new tv.jw.org website.) As part of the celebration a video was produced featuring JW actors, one even dressed up as C.T. Russell, who reenacted the “historic” scene when Russell appeared in the Bethel dining hall on the morning of October 2nd and clapped his hands three times to get everyone’s attention, then announcing: “The Gentile times have ended. Their kings have had their day.”
But as regards the aforementioned articles, let us now breakdown the Society’s presentation and consider more closely what is stated, and perhaps more importantly – what is not. The second paragraph states:
“Jehovah will use the Kingdom to unify his family in heaven and on earth. That divine purpose will be realized. In fact, Jehovah has already become King in our day! The thrilling events of the past 100 years are proof of this. God is performing great and wonderful works in behalf of millions of loyal subjects. (Zech. 14:9) And yet, Jehovah’s becoming King is not the same as the coming of God’s Kingdom for which Jesus taught us to pray. How do these events differ, and how do they affect us?”
I invite all readers to be like the noble-minded Beroeans, who carefully examined the scriptural references Paul provided to see if the things he preached were really so. So, checking the cited reference in the 14th chapter of Zechariah, what do we find? Well, it certainly uses the expression implied regarding Jehovah becoming king, stating: “And Jehovah must become king over all the earth. In that day Jehovah will prove to be one, and his name one.”
(Note to the reader: The Watchtower’s online articles provide handy hyperlinked scriptural references that allow you to go to their online Bible and read the cited verse in context. However, due to coding and formatting issues on my blog platform that arise from pasting in the entire contents of paragraphs with hyperlinked footnotes and verses, I generally delete the hyperlinks, with a few exceptions – such as above.)

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 2

As foretold, peace was ‘taken away from the earth,’ despite human promises of international cooperation and diplomacy. World War I can be viewed as just the beginning of significant wars, as is proved by recent world developments. January 2014 WT

Please note that the Watchtower makes the claim that Jehovah became king in 1914 and uses Zechariah 14:9 as a proof text. But does the expression “in that day” really apply to 1914? Simply read the context and the answer should become apparent to anyone who honestly uses their power of reason. “In that day” is used twice in context of the day of Jehovah. Read: “And Jehovah my God will certainly come, all the holy ones being with him. And it must occur in that day that there will prove to be no precious light—things will be congealed. And it must become one day that is known as belonging to Jehovah. It will not be day, neither will it be night; and it must occur that at evening time it will become light.”

In the second paragraph quoted already the Society stated that “Jehovah’s becoming King is not the same as the coming of God’s Kingdom for which Jesus taught us to pray.” But the 14th chapter of Zechariah refers to Jehovah God coming in company with all the holy ones and it is clearly referring to the event known as the tribulation and Armageddon, which is obviously when Jehovah becomes king. That being the case, how is it that Jesus’ coming in his Kingdom is a future event, whereas, Jehovah’s coming with all his holy ones, even accompanied by apocalyptic phenomena, supposedly occurred in 1914? Is the day belonging to Jehovah really such a non-event?

The Governing Body, of course, cannot be made to account for the things they publish. That can be demonstrated by simply writing to the Society and asking them to clarify statements such as made in the article under consideration. If any of Jehovah’s Witnesses were to actually write a letter pointing out such blatant contradictions in all likelihood Bethel’s response would be to send a letter to your local body of elders with instructions for them to counsel you for your lack of appreciation for all the nutritious spiritual food the slave has provided!

But if you are one of Jehovah’s Witnesses just considering the context of the 14th chapter of Zechariah, ask yourself: Is the Society being straightforward in its exegesis?

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 3

“IN THE DAYS OF THOSE KINGS”?
The third paragraph states:
“Toward the end of the 19th century, light began to shine on a 2,500-year-old prophecy recorded by Daniel: “In the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be destroyed.” The Bible Students spent decades pointing out that the year 1914 would be significant. Many people at that time were optimistic. As one writer states: “The world of 1914 was full of hope and promise.”’
For whatever reason, the Watchtower seems to be taking a new approach to an old topic. Instead of rehashing the seven times and the appointed times of the Gentiles, which has been entirely debunked anyway, the article inexplicably cites Daniel 2:44.
As in Zechariah, Daniel makes mention of a specific point in time – “in the days of those kings.” The Watchtower is implying that because the Bible Students tried to understand the meaning of Daniel, which, ironically, is sealed up until the time of the end, that somehow the prophecy was fulfilled – at least the part about the God of heaven setting up a kingdom.
D-24 Daniel copy
But did you realize that the Watchtower Society did not adopt the view that the iron and clay feet of the metallic image represents the Anglo-American dyad until quite recently? If my memory is correct, it was not until the summer conventions of 2011 that the Society first identified the iron and clay feet with the Anglo-American powers. Prior to that their commentary on Daniel interpreted the iron and clay to merely symbolize a “politically divided world.” (Related article: And There Was a Great Military Force)

So, for almost a century after the time that God supposedly set up the kingdom the Watchtower had no clear understanding of the prophecy. But that is not even the point. The real problem with their interpretation is that those kings did not even exist in 1914!

Of course, the British Empire existed. And the United States of America existed too. But they were not allied into the Anglo-American world power in 1914, and that alliance is what is symbolized by the fusion of iron and clay. Not only were the two “kings” not allied, they were implacable enemies! So, how could 1914 have been the time designated in prophecy as “in the days of those kings” when God set up a kingdom, when the alliance of “those kings” did not exist then?

As a brief history lesson: In 1776 the thirteen British-held colonies declared their independence. A war was fought to subdue the colonist, but the revolutionaries prevailed. The breakaway colonies then formed a new nation – the United States of America. It might even be said that the Revolutionary War ignited a world war, since France, Spain and the Netherlands secretly supplied the Americans and fought the British navy as well. During that great conflict London began a series of provocations on the high seas, hijacking American ships and kidnapping sailors and impressing them into service. America again declared war on the British – called the War of 1812, in which the British burned down the White House. However, the Americans ultimately prevailed again. But the British did not give up.

Because the empire profited handsomely, not only from trafficking in slavery, but even after the trade in human souls was abolished in Britain, from the produce of the slaves – namely sugarcane and cotton – London supported the Confederacy during the American Civil War and was intent on exploiting the war to divide and ultimately reacquire their breakaway colonies. The British navy was about to be deployed to blockade the northern ports when Czar Nicholas of Russia threatened to intervene to assist Abraham Lincoln and the Union. London backed down and the scheme failed. (See American Almanac: How US-Russian Entente Saved the Union Also Webster Tarpley)

After the Civil War America embarked on a great nation-building program, constructing the Transcontinental railway and a network of canals, and numerous inventions common in the modern world came into existence. At that point London realized that it could never recapture America by military means. So, in the late 1800’s various schemes were hatched to subvert the U.S., one scheme being World War One.
lusitaia
Even as the war tore apart Europe the United States was neutral. After all, there were many immigrants to the new country that came from Germany and Austria too. So, America was not the staunch ally of Great Britain then. It was not until the sinking of the Lusitania by a German submarine in 1915 that sentiment in the US began to lean towards France and Great Britain. But it still was not until 1917, three years into the war, that the US finally entered on the side of the UK. (See article:King of the North)

But the so-called Special Relationship between Great Britain and the United States was not formed until the Second World War. In fact, it was after the war that Winston Churchill first used the expression “Special Relationship.” That is when the iron and clay became fused together.
To restate the point: Since the Anglo-American alliance did not exist in 1914 that year could not possibly be marked in prophecy as “the days of those kings” when the God of heaven set up his kingdom.

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 4

A WORD ON WAR AND PESTILENCE
Returning to the 3rd paragraph the Society stated:
“With the outbreak of World War I later that year, however, Bible prophecy came true. The subsequent famines, earthquakes, and pestilences as well as the fulfillment of other Bible prophecies proved conclusively that Jesus Christ had begun to rule in heaven as King of God’s Kingdom in 1914.”
There is no question that events of the 1914-1919 era marked a turning point in the course of history. But is it conclusive proof that the kingdom of Christ is now ruling? Hardly.

According to the Watchtower, Bible prophecy cannot fully be understood until after it is fulfilled. And obviously their method of interpretation is merely to attach the fulfillment of prophecy to events of the past. However, in doing so the Watchtower inadvertently admits that it has no insight into the possibility of future developments being the actual fulfillment of prophecy.

For instance, as pointed out in previous articles the Reasoning From the Scriptures book states that there cannot be another world war because it would likely involve nuclear weapons, which would destroy humanity. But such reasoning ignores the fact that Jesus indicated that the tribulation would be so severe that if God did not intervene there would not be any survivors.

So, the very thing that Christ foretold as a certainty is deemed to be out of the question by Bethel’s visionaries – all for the purpose of convincing Jehovah’s Witnesses that God’s judgments are an artifact of theocratic history! (See article: Reasoning From the Scriptures with Jehovah’s Witnesses)

And it is also incumbent upon me to point out how the Society plays fast and loose with the truth with regards to “pestilences.” Again, while there is no question the Spanish Flu pandemic that swept the globe in 1918-1919 was one of the worst outbreaks since the Black Death stalked Europe in centuries past, the Watchtower categorizes the diseases of modern civilization, like cancer, heart disease and AIDS, as pestilences too!
But is there really any comparison to a contagious plague that kills tens of millions of people in a matter of months to the preventable lifestyle diseases that are not contagious and take years to develop in individuals? Besides, does not the very word “pestilence” denote a “pest” in the form of an invading microbe?

So, the Society’s conclusive proof that Christ began ruling in 1914 is based upon the ill-founded premise that there cannot be a series of rapidly erupting wars, food shortages, earthquakes and global pandemics in the future that will surpass the tragedies and horrors of the past.
Meanwhile, in the real-world the rumblings of world war three and global financial collapse continue to build in intensity, like a volcano that is near to exploding! And now the focus is on Ebola, which is spreading like wildfire in Africa. Some experts fear that the number of infected persons could reach one million by the end of 2014. While that number is nowhere near the multitudes that were laid low by the Spanish Flu nearly a century ago, it nevertheless possess a potential threat that exceeds previous pandemics due to the lethality of this particular strain.
(Needless to say global war and financial collapse would create food shortages, with pandemics to follow in the wake of weakened immune systems and medical shortages. Also, it is entirely within the realm of possibility that “pestilences” could be man-made weapons of biological warfare.)

In their saying “Bible prophecy came true,” this is not an accurate or truthful statement either.

In Jesus’ comprehensive discussion regarding the things to come, he assured his watchful disciples that when they saw “all these things” occurring then they would know that he was near at the door. So, if “Bible prophecy came true” 100 years ago, then has anyone seen “all these things” that Jesus foretold would occur? The answer is no. Even by the Watchtower’s own reckoning the answer is still “no.”

As pointed out in the article A Closer Look at 1914, most of what Jesus said cannot be matched to anything in the past century. For example, although for years the Society insisted that the world was in the grip of fear in fulfillment of Jesus’ words, now they admit that men becoming faint with fear is an extraordinary development that has not occurred yet. And there are many other examples that could be cited where the Society has revised what they previously taught had been fulfilled. That being the case, it is not possible for any individual or group of individuals, also known as a generation, to personally witness “all these things” that comprise the sign. (See the chapter: The Sign)

So, why focus on events that occurred 100 years ago and claim that “Bible prophecy came true” then, when by the Society’s own admission there are many aspects that have not occurred?

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 5

WERE SATAN AND HIS DEMONS HURLED DOWN IN 1914?
Paragraph four states:
The first mission of God’s newly installed King was to wage war against his Father’s chief Adversary, Satan. Jesus and his angels cast the Devil and his demons out of heaven. This brought great rejoicing in heaven but a time of unprecedented calamity to the earth. (Read Revelation 12:7-9, 12.)
It is very difficult, nay impossible, to prove that something did or did not happen in another realm that is impenetrable by the human senses. The only way that earthlings could possibly discern if something as monumental as what is described in Revelation actually occurred in the invisible heavens is by developments in the visible sphere that may coincide with the foretold woe upon the earth and sea.

The Watchtower Society, of course, claims that all the troubles the world has experienced over the past 100 years are a result of Satan’s post-expulsion wrath. But is there any way to test the Watchtower’s “inspired expression” for authenticity, as believing Christians are obligated to do? Fortunately, yes, there is.

According to the same 12th chapter of Revelation after the great dragon is hurled down to the earth he will persecute the “woman” and her “seed” for a prophetic period amounting to “a time, times and half a time,” which Jehovah’s Witnesses understand to be a literal period of three and a half years.

In confirmation of that the 13th chapter of Revelation reveals that the holy ones are persecuted for a period of 42 months.
However, instead of pinpointing the start of that interval with the ouster of the seven-headed dragon from heaven, Revelation 13:3 describes a seven-headed earthly beast, and states: “I saw that one of its heads seemed to have been fatally wounded, but its mortal wound had been healed, and all the earth followed the wild beast with admiration.”

It is evident that the defeat of Satan in the heavenly war will be manifest upon the earth by the fatal wounding of the seventh head of the Devil’s wild beast. So, that is how we may determine if Satan has been cast down. Of course, Bethel also makes that connection, but the leadership of Jehovah’s Witnesses maintain that the seventh head of the beast was slaughtered and revived during the First World War. Despite the fact that the Anglo-American alliance was not really formed then, the British Empire was surely the prevailing power. That being the case, how did the beast appear to receive a mortal wound only to revive?

But besides that contradiction, Revelation makes clear that when the beast revives from it mortal head wound all those who hold the revived beast in admiration – yes, who worship the beast – are stamped with the irrevocable, symbolic, 666 mark of the beast, which signifies their eternal doom.

Since that is undeniably what Revelation reveals as truth, how is it that generations have come and gone since the time when the beast is supposed to have come back from the dead? Have the souls of all patriotic persons already been consigned to the perpetually burning lake of fire since 1920, or whenever? If that is the case, how is it possible that many persons who were once politically active, or who may have even served in the armed forces, have disavowed their political affiliation and become Jehovah’s Witnesses, hence, presumably, removing the mark of the beast from their foreheads or hands?

As long-time readers of e-Watchman know, this question has been raised for some time now and so far not one of Jehovah’s Witnesses has offered a sensible answer. The reason that is so is because there is no sensible explanation. Bethel’s interpretation is nonsensical and irrational and impossible to scripturally defend. (See essay: Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Mark of the Beast)

Not to mention the inconvenient fact that Satan’s assumed “short period of time” has now spanned a full century in duration and counting! Hardly “a short period of time” by human methods of accounting. And since the woman and her seed are no longer under intense persecution now, might we conclude that the Devil’s wrath has mellowed in recent decades?

So, given the evidence at hand, or rather, the lack of evidence that any of the leading governments of that time collapsed – be it Britain, America, France, or even the vanquished German government – there is no basis in reality for Jehovah’s Witnesses’ belief that the Devil and his demons were hurled down from heaven by Michael the archangel in 1914. The Society’s teaching bears all the earmarks of a devilish hoax.

Bethel’s 100 Year Long Kingdom Hoax – How Will It Affect You? Part 6

“LOOK! HE WILL CERTAINLY COME”

The fifth paragraph suggests that the prophecy outlined in the 3rd chapter of Malachi was fulfilled during the First World War. The Society wrote:
“After the enthroned King purged the heavens of the corrupting influence of Satan and his demons, Jehovah directed Jesus to inspect and refine the spiritual condition of his followers on earth. The prophet Malachi described this as a spiritual cleansing. (Mal. 3:1-3) History shows that this took place between 1914 and the early part of 1919. To be part of Jehovah’s universal family, we must be clean, or holy. We must keep free from any contamination by false religion or the politics of this world.”
The Society’s method of merely citing a single passage of scripture with a suggested meaning attached to it, with the implied expectation that the meaning is obvious, is not all that dissimilar to the way, say a Trinitarian, may cite John 1:1 or some other pet verse, and imply that no further explanation is required.

While Jehovah’s Witnesses recognize the fallacy of that sort of reasoning, they do not apply the same standard of determining the truth when it comes to the teachings of the Watchtower. But again, let’s examine the context and reason so as to determine whether these things are so.
According to the Watchtower Jesus’ coming is still in the future. However, supposedly he came as the refiner in 1914-1919. This can be easily disproven, as has already been demonstrated in the discussion of Malachi first published in Jehovah Himself Has Become King in 2005 – specifically, in the chapter entitled The Judgment. But simply put, the question posed in Malachi – “But who will endure the day of his coming, and who will be able to stand when he appears?” – is virtually the same as the warning Jesus gave at Luke 21:36, which says: “Keep awake, then, all the time making supplication that you may succeed in escaping all these things that must occur and in standing before the Son of man.”

Surely, there is only one occasion of the coming of Christ when Christians will either stand or fall before the Judge, and we may be certain it was not in 1914, nor 1916, 1917, 1918, 1919, or anytime since then. The coming of the True Lord is nothing else but the stupendous revelation and manifestation of Jesus Christ in the glory of Jehovah!

Reasoning on the matter further: If Jesus came and cleansed his Father’s spiritual temple back during the First World War, how is it that the man of lawlessness is said to be sitting in the temple of The God up until the very moment the manifestation of Jesus brings him to nothing? If Christ purged the temple a century ago then shouldn’t we expect he would have thrown out the apostate man of lawlessness?

Furthermore, as an indication of the satanic nature of the Society’s invisible parousia hoax, the passage from Malachi refers to standing before Christ “when he appears.” So, in what way did Christ “appear” in 1914-1919? Is it such an insignificant detail? Why does the Watchtower Society fabricate a synthetic phrase like “invisible presence,” when the Scriptures clearly indicate that Jesus will make an appearance, at least before the ones who are in the covenant, of which he is the Messenger? To be sure, there is, besides this one passage in Malachi, ample support in the Bible for a visible parousia and revelation of Christ. For example, Paul used the expression at Hebrews 9:28, referring to “the second time he appears,” in reference to the second coming of Jesus. (See articles: The Parousia andThe Visible Presence of Christ, and Daniel and the Parousia, as well as The Visible Parousia of Jesus Christ)

As regards the “satanic nature” of the Society’s invisible parousia teaching, it is undoubtedly the “operation of error” that Paul foretold God would allow – an operation that Paul specifically warned would proclaim that the presence had begun and the day of Jehovah is here. (See articles: Jehovah’s Witnesses and the Man of Lawlessness and A False Day of Jehovah) And of course, the most prominent feature of Jesus’ discussion regarding the sign of his presence is that there would be those falsely proclaiming that “the due time has approached” and many false prophets, and others saying ‘the Christ is here,’ ‘the Christ is there.’ Jesus warned that the deception would be so convincing that if it were possible it would even deceive the chosen ones.
.
Although much more could be said regarding the Watchtower’s phony application of Malachi, take note of Malachi 3:11&12, which says: “‘And I will rebuke the devouring one for you, and it will not ruin the fruit of your land, nor will the vine in your field be fruitless,’ says Jehovah of armies. ‘All the nations will have to declare you happy, for you will become a land of delight,’ says Jehovah of armies.”

The footnote on “devouring one” states that it is apparently in reference to an insect. But there is nothing else in the context that sheds light upon why God would make mention of an insect, or “devouring one.” But all prophecy is interwoven and harmonious. That being the case, Jehovah is obviously referring to the situation presented in the prophecy of Joel, in which, Jehovah’s own “vineyard” is devoured by swarms of insects, which are revealed to merely symbolize the nations. And, Jehovah does indeed rebuke the devouring swarms, also called “the northerner” (a.k.a. the king of the north), by driving them into the sea. (See commentary on Joel)

Clearly then, the coming of the Messenger of the covenant with the fire of a refiner coincides with the desolation of the holy place, which will serve as much needed discipline for those who have carelessly misinterpreted God’s prophetic word and have foolishly peddled an operation of error and artfully contrived false story. And his coming will bring about a sweeping purge of those wicked slaves who have not feared God. (See Malachi 3:5) Paragraph six continues:
“Jesus then used his kingly authority to appoint a “faithful and discreet slave.” This slave would provide a regular supply of wholesome spiritual food to all who make up the “one flock” under Jesus’ care. Since 1919, a small group of anointed brothers have loyally carried out the weighty responsibility to feed the “domestics.” The abundant spiritual food provided through this channel nourishes us so that we can grow in the faith. It fortifies our resolve to remain spiritually, morally, mentally, and physically clean. This spiritual food also educates us and equips us to have a full share in the most important work being done on earth today. Are you taking full advantage of these provisions?”
What about before 1919, though? Wasn’t there also “a small group of anointed brothers” grouped around Charles Russell? And were not they doing the exact same work as was carried on after Joseph Rutherford took the reins of control? Since that is undoubtedly the case, why does the Watchtower pinpoint 1919 as the year Jesus appointed a slave? The obvious reason is to bolster the myth that Jesus came as the messenger of the covenant.

But as already considered, it is simply not true that Jesus has already come with the fire of a refiner and the lye of a laundryman. And besides, the coming of Christ in that capacity is not to appoint a slave to feed the domestics. It is to inspect the slaves as to their faithfulness in carrying out their already assigned duties!

As for the remainder of the Watchtower article highlighting the expansion of the preaching work of Jehovah’s Witnesses as evidence that Jesus began ruling in 1914, the question ought to be posed: What about the advance of the preaching of Christ in the first century? Doesn’t the Bible say that the good news was preached back then to the entire inhabited earth? And did not the apostles make organizational improvements, such as establishing ministerial servants to care for non-preaching, but necessary work?
Obviously, both aspects were successfully carried out before 1914, before Jehovah is said to have become king. That being the case, why ought the similar accomplishments of the Watchtower Society be considered the result of the kingdom coming to power?

Downfall of America Part 1

January 4th, 2018
1652147013636.png

It is natural to ponder what each new year may bring. In these beginning days of 2018 it seems especially fitting for people of faith to do so; the reason being, because, even from a casual assessment it certainly seems that the world has never been more perilously close to nuclear war.
Ironically, though, from the perspective of Jehovah’s Witnesses, the world’s present situation is largely irrelevant. That is because the Watchtower sets our expectations based upon the Governing Body’s understanding of prophecy. And according to the Watchtower, the only thing left unfulfilled —other than the attack of Gog and the war of Armageddon —is the destruction of organized religion by the United Nations.

On that front there is nothing notable to report. It is more likely that Earth will be struck by the mythical Planet X than that the U.N. might initiate the violent destruction of Babylon the Great. Seriously, though, besides the fact that the U.N. is a toothless tiger and could not possibly bring about the eradication of all religious institutions globally, at least not in the current political environment and ordering of nations, there is no indication that the powers-that-be are even inclined to do so. On the contrary, religion does not appear to have lost any measurable influence.
In Russia, for instance, the Orthodox Church is more powerful than it has ever been in the last 100 years —since the Bolshevik revolution —evidenced by the shocking liquidation of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Russia in 2017. Or are we to pretend that the Orthodox Church was not behind the ban?

By all accounts evangelicals in the United States are thriving too, as can be seen by the phenomenon of teeming mega-churches.

Meanwhile, in the U.S. the Watchtower dissolved nearly 500 congregations in 2017 alone. (See graphic below) Dozens of fully functional kingdom halls have been shuttered and dumped on the real estate market. Far from the waters of Babylon drying up, as the brothers used to be fond of saying, it is the Watchtower that is experiencing a steady erosion of support. Surely, if it were not for the baptism of younger and younger children in recent years and the Service Department allowing 15-minute monthly field service reports, the numbers of active publishers in America and Europe would surely reveal negative “growth.” No wonder the Governing Body decided to stop publishing the Year Book. As Paul might say, your cause for boasting is not fine.

Be that as it may, what about the coming year?

Downfall of America Part 2

While no human can foresee the future, we appreciate that Jehovah has amply demonstrated that he is fully capable of doing so. And he has published his vision of the future in the Bible. The challenge for us is to accurately interpret the enigmatic mysteries God has presented in the books of the prophets. Admittedly, that may require some imagination in such instances where the prophecies have not been fulfilled yet. The problem is, though, Jehovah’s Witnesses see no need to examine the Scriptures. The reason being, the Watchtower has convinced those under its influence that virtually everything has already been fulfilled —except the aforementioned.

But is it the sole obligation of loyal Jehovah’s Witnesses to unquestioningly accept whatever comes from Bethel? If so, why does the apostle exhort individual Christians to “not believe every inspired statement, but test the inspired statements to see whether they originate with God”? Are the teachings of the Watchtower somehow exempt from scrutiny? If so, by whose authority?

If Jehovah’s Witnesses were to test the “inspired statements” published by the Watchtower, what might the results of such a test reveal? Take the book of Daniel as an example. The seventh chapter presents a vision Daniel received concerning a succession of wild beasts, the last of which has a fatal encounter with the newly enthroned Son of man. While there is no reason to question the identity of the beasts themselves, what about the 11th horn of the unusually fearsome monster that emerges last and the three horns that are “plucked up” by it, thereby transforming the Romish creature into an eight-horned beast?

As you likely know, the Watchtower’s last commentary on Daniel was published nearly 20 years ago, entitled: Pay Attention to Daniel’s Prophecy. (The Pay Attention commentary was largely a rehash of Your Will Be Done, published in 1958.)

According to the Watchtower the little horn is said to have been the British Empire and the United States of America. And the three horns that are plucked up before it? — Spain, France and Holland.
12a7f4b2f257121ea2d20e734afc01e0-219x300.jpg

However, there are a number of things that do not add up. First, there is no indication in Daniel’s prophecy that the plucking up of the three horns transpires over the course of several centuries. No, the act of plucking out suggests a sudden and simultaneous fall of three kings. Yet, the defeat of the Spanish Armada took place in 1588, but France was not eclipsed by British naval supremacy until the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 —more than two centuries later!

Even more troublesome, the act of being “plucked up” suggests that those three kings no longer have any power after they are uprooted. Indeed, King James words it: “plucked up by the roots,” while Byington simply says “uprooted.”

The problem with the Watchtower’s interpretation arises due to the fact that Spain, Netherlands and France are still very much ruling powers. France especially, being one of the foremost military powers and a member of the exclusive G-8 economic club, and a permanent member of the U.N. Security Council. Who would dispute that France wields as much national clout as Great Britain? Not only is France’s economy essentially on par with that of Britain, it has more nuclear weapons. If that is not an expression of power, what is? Not to be overlooked, France was allied with Great Britain in both world wars. So how can it be said that the great nation of France has fallen before its British rival? What rational person would believe such a preposterous thing?
1437753134.jpg

If we accept the Watchtower’s “inspired statement” as being authentic, which is to say we believe that the wrecking of a few dozen wooden warships in a North Atlantic gale in 1588 fulfilled prophecy, then we must assume that the three horns have long since been grafted back into the head of the beast from where they had been “plucked up” —rendering this aspect of Daniel’s prophecy into a mere historical footnote. And most unsettling, that leaves us with no alternative but to believe that God inspired Daniel to record mere trivia that has no relevance to the present or future. Frankly, why ought the Creator stoop to using his unlimited foreknowledge to play such parlor tricks?

We may be certain that Jehovah does not use his power to foretell irrelevant trivialities. The Watchtower’s interpretation is very much in error. The purpose of Daniel’s prophecy is to reveal events related to the establishment of God’s Kingdom. Since the little horn with eyes and a mouth speaks in opposition to the Christ at the point he comes against them, that is also when the three rival horns are uprooted.

Unfortunately, the Watchtower’s error does not end there. Since the ascendency of the big-talking little horn parallels the revival of the slaughtered head of the beast in the 13th chapter of Revelation, who is similarly depicted as being given a mouth to utter great blasphemies against heaven for precisely the same prophetic period of 42 months, alternatively expressed in Daniel as a time, times and half a time, the mortal blow to the head of the seven-headed beast must coincide with the three kings that are made to fall.

Of course, the Watchtower makes no such connection. Rivaling the absurdity of the interpretation of the three horns being plucked out, Jehovah’s Witnesses are compelled by the masters of their faith to believe that the head of the wild beast —the Anglo-American duo —suffered a fatal blow during the First World War and then miraculously recovered. It is true, the First World War changed the world and millions of young men were senselessly slaughtered, but Jehovah’s Witnesses are apparently oblivious to the fact that the Anglo-American allies were victorious in the war and experienced nothing that could even remotely be described as a fatal blow.
deathstroke-300x244.jpg

The reason the Watchtower is compelled to resort to extolling such nonsense is because Bethel’s visionaries well know that the head of the beast is slaughtered as an indirect result of Christ coming to power and Satan being cast down to the earth. And the doctrine that Christ began ruling the world in 1914 is considered the sacred foundation upon which the Watchtower has been built and cannot be questioned.

But it gets even worse. Did you know that America was subjugated by the Soviet Union during the Cold War? Most people do not. In fact, the only people on the planet who believe it are Jehovah’s Witnesses, although I doubt that it is something foremost in their minds. No doubt the reason the Watchtower can pass off sheer nonsense as if it were an inspired statement from God is because Jehovah’s Witnesses respect “the slave” as being from God. And it would seem that “the slave” has exploited Jehovah’s Witnesses lack of education and knowledge of modern history.

But surely no knowledgable person would agree that the Soviet communists dominated America in the way outlined in Daniel’s prophecy, so as to “rule over the hidden treasures of gold and silver and over all the desirable things.” Yet, this is what the Watchtower has unblushingly taught for the past 60 years –even after the USSR was driven into bankruptcy by America in the arms race.

Interestingly, the verse above goes on to relate that Egypt does not escape, nor do the Libyans or Ethiopians. Those three symbolic entities must represent the same kings as the three horns that are uprooted, making the little horn the same entity as the king of the north in his final campaign.

The truth is, and there is really no polite way to say it, the Watchtower has perpetrated a massive fraud upon Jehovah’s Witnesses. Christ did not begin ruling in 1914. Furthermore, the 11th horn did not emerge in 1588. Nor was the wild beast mortally wounded in 1914. And for certain, the king of the north did not subjugate the king of the south during the Cold War. All of these things are in our immediate future. And you may be certain that the fulfillment of God’s prophetic word will not be so easily forgotten as the defeat of the Spanish Armada. The return of Christ will be immensely profound.

Downfall of America Part 3

A GREAT CRASH IS COMING

What is symbolized in various prophecy is the utter crash of the system and afterwards —like the mythical phoenix arising from the ashes —the emergence of the last king, the eighth king —the little horn of Daniel’s prophecy. The plucking up of the three horns will undoubtedly be realized with the collapse of the United States and her supporters, probably Britain and France.

Already the move to replace the U.S. Dollar as the world’s reserve currency is well along. That means the U.S. will be swamped by a Tsunami of worthless Dollars nations no longer need. There is no way America will survive as an independent republic. It will be crushed by its own massive mountain of unpayable debt –foreclosed upon by its central bank creditors, who will likely take possession of the hidden treasures at Fort Knox and whatever else is deemed valuable. A deathblow indeed!

The significance of the impending downfall of America, at least as far as Jehovah’s Witnesses are concerned, is that America has always protected the rights of its citizens to freely assemble, to preach and publish the truth. No one has benefited from America’s guarantee of freedom more than Jehovah’s Witnesses. But all of that will change. The land of the free it will be no more.

Likely Jehovah’s Witnesses will scoff (until it happens), having been conditioned to believe the Watchtower is virtually unerring. How could ‘Bethel have it so wrong,’ many will likely retort? That is actually a good question. And Jehovah has the answer: “Who is blind except my servant, so deaf as the messenger I send? Who is so blind as the one rewarded, so blind as the servant of Jehovah? You see many things, but you do not keep watch. You open your ears, but you do not listen.”

Jehovah’s assessment is right on the mark. Over the past century the Watchtower has published volumes on prophecy. True, most of it has long since been consigned to the rubbish bin; but in recent years the Watchtower doesn’t even concern itself with prophecy. It has turned the prophets into behavioral lessons for the learners. Now, as the world stands at the brink of a holocaust, the like of which has never occurred before or will ever occur again, the prophet class has gone mute. How true, even as Jehovah long ago said of his servant, “you see many things, but you do not keep watch.”

Amazingly, the far-seeing God foresaw the Watchtower’s 1914 hoax and describes it in the 30th chapter of Isaiah, saying: “Since you reject this word and you trust in fraud and deceit and you rely on these, so this error will be for you like a broken wall, like a bulging high wall ready to fall. It will crash suddenly, in an instant. It will be broken like a large potter’s jar, so completely smashed that no fragment among its pieces will be left to rake the fire from the fireplace or to scoop water from a puddle.”

Surely a bulging, high wall, is the perfect analogy for the Watchtower’s interpretation of prophecy, all of which has been tied to 1914. It may seem impressive to the over-awed observer. And surely the leadership of Jehovah’s Witnesses support themselves on it by declaring themselves to be the already appointed princes of the now-ruling Kingdom. But what happens when the cruise missiles and nuclear ICBM’s start flying? Crash!!! the wall comes down and is shattered to smithereens.

As it stands presently, a few of Jehovah’s Witnesses are waking up to the reality of a future presence of Christ during the reign of the yet-to-come eighth king —the yet-to ascend little horn. Although the leadership of the Watchtower is committed to keeping Jehovah’s people in ignorance, the wall of deceit is bulging more and more.

I take inspiration from one of the pioneer English Bible translators, William Tyndale, who said to one of his many resisters: “I defy the Pope and all his laws. If God spare my life, ere many years I will cause a boy that driveth the plough shall know more of the Scripture than thou doest.”

Indeed, I defy the Watchtower and their judicial injunction against independently examining the Scriptures. And if God spares my life a few more years I am certain to see a goodly number of insignificant publishers and disfellowshipped castaways come to know more of the prophetic Scriptures than the Governing Body and all their helpers.

Reminds me of the "strange, illogical and impractical" direction that Jehovah's Witnesses are implored to comply with in the future. Sure, this exhortation from the Governing Body is a set up for some kind of some future ridiculousness from them, but it also fits quite nicely this way: "By now our beloved brothers and sisters, due to the fact that you all have become quite accustomed to our nonsensical, irrational and impossible interpretations of prophesy as contained in the holy scriptures, is it such a far stretch for you to be willing, yes, eager to obey future instructions from the Faithful and Discreet Slave (see Matt 24:45) that may at first glance appear strange, illogical and impractical? Certainly your willingness to readily obey such directions will determine whether or not you survive the impending great tribulation. (Matt 24:21)" .... uuugggghhhhh!!

It's a dangerous game that's being played. Even when the people were given instruction by Moses, there were events that made it very clear God was with him.
