Watchtower secretly pays off another abuse victim

This is one of the more outrageous cases of abuse you will ever hear about. The victim was actually disfellowshipped and the abusive elder was on the judicial committee. Saying that the plaintiff dismissed the case means the Watchtower wrote a check and bound the victim with a gag order. Another great victory for theocracy.

“The lawsuit stated that it was well-known in the congregation during the time of the abuse that the elder was treating her differently than other girls in the congregation. The elder would regularly have her spend the night at his residence in Washington after bible studies at his home. The elder also provided one-on-one bible study to the girl despite a policy that did not permit elders to be alone with minor girls.”

Something does not seem right here. As in why would her parents let her stay the night in the first place? That doesn’t make sense.

The idolatry of many parents towards the elderly exposes their own children to danger. Even when cases come to light, the family itself asks you, have you got it wrong? the vast majority of cases remain silent and forgotten. The good thing is that Jehovah sees everything from above and his names will never be written in his book of life. Oblivion and eternity will bury any iota of life in these undesirables. Woe to those who look the other way!!!

The idolatry of many parents towards the elderly exposes their own children to danger.

Little issue with the translation there PJ. I believe it should be:
The idolatry of many parents towards the elders exposes their own children to danger.

Exposing kids to the elderly is actually a good thing. Little ones can learn a lot from the old ones and the old ones love to help the little ones. Just ask a grandpa what he thinks about his grandchildren.

BibleStudent: I can't stand to watch Lett lie about "apostate driven lies that Jehovah's organization is permissive toward child abuse". In fact, they protect pedophiles. Ask them for that large file they have of known pedophiles in their org. They protect it like it's gold.

That's Bing & Google translate for ya. As for Lett, you have to wonder if there's a secret society like NAMBLA in the Org, though I would hope not.

She was threatened with church disfellowship and adverse consequences in her afterlife if she brought a claim or asked for help outside of the church. Now she realizes that she was not alone.

My response: This is reprehensible. What a terrible organization that treats victims as ADVERSARIES.

JWs, you are here——-> Isaiah 1v23:

Your princes are stubborn and partners with thieves. Every one of them loves a bribe and chases after gifts. They do not grant justice to the fatherless, And the legal case of the widow never reaches them.

Apostate driven lies? Steven Lett wants JWs to contribute to the ONENESS, as Steven Lett twists the words used by those exposing Watchtower' child abuse policy. Excuse me Mr. Lett, who is telling false stories, who is lying, who is being dishonest? We've got it rocorded on video tape Mr. Lett. So, who is doing what now?

"Greatest irony of all" those who've exposed the Watchtower policies on child abuse cause Watchtower to make some adjustments on their child abuse policies.

It just breaks my heart to know about this.

Yes, it's disgusting, it's very sad, for those who've suffered, and the GB and WT take no responsibility but they've known about it for years. We had our midweek tonight and I had to hung up during the prayer when the brother started thanking Jehovah for the spiritual paradise, which of course in reality, doesn't exist.
Someone here on this forum said the other day..."You say you are in a spiritual paradise but you don't see the serpent in the tree". Pretty funny!

I think I said that. 😊 Maybe someone else said it goo
I actually thought you were the one and almost stated it as fact in my post but I just was not 100% sure. Now I am! Such a great saying that I wrote it down on my calendar so that it popped up again today. I want to remember that one! Thank you!!:)🤣
