When do we put our full faith in Jehovahs' ability to take care of us? Sorry I'm confused. I don't have a to go bag because I'm afraid someone will clobber me and take it away. If I have a basement full of food how do I protect it from thieves that will break in? What are your thoughts? I have read all of the information on here about what to have stored up for the future but what happens if the hungry mob kicks me out of my house? I Have been begging Jehovah for more faith to deal with the hard times ahead.
you and i are on the same plain. I’ve been begging Jehovah more faith too.

i was thinking last night- what if my husband and i got kicked out of our little cabin, the amount of shelf stable food i have requires probably two large very heavy boxes. I wouldn’t be able to carry that around for long. At some point we are going to end up like Lot and his daughters- fleeing with the very clothes on our backs.

I have two jars of tahini that i’ve been storing for an emergency for over a year.

Yes! You’re right. They did save up grain. I didn’t think of that. Yet now you raise it, how do we equate the contrary advice about not going back for things and in faith that all our needs will may be met? This is what confuses me.
Well, the way I look at it if we lose it to looters or we have to suddenly leave, so be it. Like @Back to True Worship said, preparing is not lack of faith. I just think of the 5 virgins who took extra oil with them, they were prepared.

And as many people are not having a full pantry, 2 Cor. 8:14 comes to mind: but that by means of an equalizing, your surplus at the present time might offset their need, so that their surplus might also offset your deficiency, that there may be an equalizing

Didn’t Jesus say that we may feed or clothe his spiritual brothers? Well, they’re welcome at my place and I can feed them if need be 😊

in context , we see when the disgusting thing arrived in Jerusalem in 66 ce. the christians had opportunity to flee to the mountains and be saved. No doubt they took light provisions for the trip , but in a hurry got out of the city , they did not linger....If however , some returned to Jerusalem it would have cost them their lives, remember there were 4 years before Jerusalems destruction. Thus not returning could have posed a real challenge not to return to pick up more of their belongings, which could have resulted in their entrapment in the city or if too late in the Roman armies return.
Perhaps we will further understand this part of prophecy in our time when we see the disgusting thing put in place once again. What is the Jerusalem of today where we are told not to return ? Is it the organization, that many will finally come to the realization of its connection to the world , and will some for some yet unknown reason feel the need to go back ...we simply do not have enough information yet...

What do we take when we are told to run to the mountains? Our "to go bag" and a jar of peanut butter? The scripture said not to take your coat.

Well, speaking for myself, besides some clean undies and toiletries/medication, I have some freeze dried food in there. Plus a life straw which can filter water. It doesn’t have to weigh a ton. I’m not carrying 10 pots of beans, a sack of rice, a pot of peanut butter and three cheeses with me 😂

(Isaiah 26:20) Go, my people, enter your inner rooms, And shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for a brief moment Until the wrath has passed by.
I’m kind of betting on bugging in instead of bugging out too, thanks to the above mentioned scriptures. But my husband and I have discussed the jab. If it means losing our house, so be it. What happens to our preps then? We’ll probably take what we can stuff in the car but will have to leave the rest. If that happens, I know Jehovah will help us.

we are going to enter the great tribulation , it is not going to be a cake walk, it is going to test us to the very limit, but Jehovah knows each and everyone of us and our make up...he will not let us be tested beyond what we can bear , but along with the temptation he will make a way out..we will keep our faith if we trust in him....Jesus learned obedience by enduring death on the torture stake and told us it is a must for us to carry our torture stake...so have no fear , what ever you endure Jesus and Jehovah know you can and will endure...have courage Jesus said , I have conquered the world.

I think it all comes down to balance. Don’t take the whole inventory but at least be smart and have some clothing and food prepared.

i think the waiting and the anticipation is the hardest part. There is even a song written about that. But it’s true, and because of WT’s many false predictions we’ve been in anticipation of this our whole lives (expectation, notwithstanding) perhaps to the point we’ve created a complex post traumatic stress disorder for ourselves. or maybe i should just say myself.

Remember that your hairs (lol) are all counted and that a sparrow does not fall to the ground without your fathers notice, Jesus concluded , of how much MORE are you worth than sparrows? He didn't say we wouldn't fall to the ground in death, many of our brothers have died during times of distress, but what was important for the disciples then and now is that our Father Jehovah notices and we are worth more to him than these simple creators , so we are again reassured of our salvation no matter what....he is our LOVING Heavenly Father, his power and ability are unmatched and unlimited....we have nothing to fear...we simply do what we can and keep our faith and obedience. We will be able to say as did Jesus , "it has been accomplished" obviously not to the degree he did Jehovah's will but I to any extent we will also add to his honour and glory in reply to the Devil.
