This is what happens when you "disagree" with WT

He makes the video really funny, which is nice kind of gallows humor kind of comic relief, but if there was any doubt what the Elders and the rest of the company men think of us for even questioning the GB this video should close the lid on that.

Lol 😂 I just had to laugh about the “spears” being their new teaching tools! This was hilarious but so true Nomex.

The first time I listened to this while I was driving. I had to watch it again to see what I missed. So glad I did....did you see the one he did about "beard fractions"...this guy is hilarious...and Watchtower made good use of our donations again, trying to get him doxed for 3 years so they could get their revenge by DF'ing him, before finally giving up.

No, I didn’t. I’ll sure look for it for it now though.

It is shocking to see how insular and unthinking these elders are.

This is kid's stuff, as the child-like individual playing with Legos demonstrates. It is actually going to get worse, much, much worse. Jesus forewarned his disciples that they would be beaten in the synagogues and betrayed and hated by brothers and even handed over to death by loved ones.

Are you suggesting that this might be physical abuse against congregation members in the meeting place, or does this refer to witnesses being harangued in courts of law etc. I am just wondering if brothers and sisters are going to get to physical blows in the hall. I suppose if others can deliver up their family members to death, anything is possible. To listen to those elders justifying their actions and repeating the mantra of always obeying the governing body demonstrates a complete abdication of one’s own reasoning to another, not dissimilar to Pol Pot in Cambodia, Stalin in Russia and of course Hitler in Germany. It is very difficult to rationalise such infantile reasoning these elders in the video are using.

Considering the way things are going, I wouldn't doubt it.

In the first century, Jesus attended a meeting on the Sabbath and announced to the synagogue that he was the long-awaited Messiah. They tried to shove him off a cliff. Over the course of his ministry, Jesus healed on the Sabbath and in the synagogues and it drove the Pharisees and Jews into a murderous rage. And the record shows that all during Paul's ministry he would preach in the scattered synagogues and invariably the unbelieving Jews were stir up the crowds and assault Paul. So, the most murderous people were not the people of the nations but the Jews, Jehovah's own people. Likewise, when Christ returns and turns everything upside down those who are the most pious Christians just might not welcome Jesus and all that that implies and if they do not, they will revert to type and be infused with the spirit of Satan and become like those murderous Jews in the first century.

Like I have said since finding your work, I have realized it is all just history repeating itself which is also just imperfect hum,an nature repeating itself.

I think if you watched a few of his video's you'd get what he is doing. It's putting that humorous spin on subjects that are a lot easier to cover with the humor. He also talked about why he did this because it was an easier way to do stop motion without having to create all the figures that you'd need for, say clay animation. The guy is 51 years old BTW. I obviously don't agree with everything people like this say, but it certainly hits home since I think many of us have experienced many of these same things.

It is more than that. The big players are the same: Satan and Jehovah. That's why even though civilization changes as far as customs and technology and whatever, the issues of faith do not.

I have watched a few of his videos. I get it. I think they are hilarious. Well done, as far as production. It's just that being a ridiculer isn't going to make you any friends in heaven.

I couldn't even continue my study with the mountain JWs because of the way they talked to me about the meetings. You could tell they were just so invested into the Watchtower that it made it very hard to carry on with them. They seemed like good people, and I kind of enjoyed interacting with fellow believers but they were also very condescending. Apparently my whole life has just been preschool. If I really wanted to advance I had to go to the meetings. That was like college. I'll never get anywhere on my own, and if I wait too long God might kill me for procrastinating. I'm paraphrasing, but that was the general gist. No wonder people make videos about this organization. No one at the halls would ever listen. It's so obvious from an outside perspective. Shame they can't see it.

I listened to part of an interview he did with someone, and he said this actually happened to him. He said he started to grow a beard and a brother with a mustache pulled him aside and he said what's going on with the facial hair...and he said....well watch the video!
Lol Nomex! That was hilarious! 😆 I heard in a Watchtower History video that one of the reasons they don’t like beards…it was something Rutherford had started. But where do they find support for that in scripture?
Thanks for sharing.

The brother you talked about who grew the beard and got pulled aside…the same exact thing happened to my husband and they asked him the same exact question! He grew the kind of mustache like John Lennon use to grow and they pulled him in the library during the meeting.

Calling it college in current year is certainly an exaggeration given the society's content especially the watchtowers are so dumbed down now compared to the ones we'd go over when I was a child. Only thing of any merit left I can think of remaining is the first twenty or so minutes of the midweek meetings going over the weekly bible readings. And unfortunately the ministry is atrophying the org is very and observably growing more over reliant on the preaching to grieving people routine pretty one note/can't pitch themselves/educate people on anything else to start with. It doesn't have to be this way of course but that would require 1. The GB not shrinking the writing department like they have 2. Trusting in their subordinates at headquarters and delegating enough for them to be able to produce half the quantity and quality of content they routinely did twenty years ago.

This also happened to me about 20 years ago. One of the elders printed articles form the Watchtower from the 70's about beards being "worldly" and even 20 years ago, that was still 25 plus years earlier...and absolutely nothing from the Bible actually about beards. And I also heard it was some rivalry between Rutherford and Russel.
