"During the great tribulation, we may receive instructions that seem strange, impractical, or illogical" - WT 🤔🤨 really ???

I did come to this conclusion on my own when Brother Splane explained the "new "thought on the generation overlapping and in my head and heart said this is crazy, how can they possible believe that Jesus would "cloud " his meaning in such nonsense..it was then that I started to do my own thinking on this , by reading the accounts over and over and praying for a clear understanding , and that's when it hit me .

Thus began the search for Real bible truth.. even the 1914 dogma , the seven times of Daniel as the start of the gentile times. I restarted my reading and mediations on Daniel. It took several readings of it over and over again before it finally sunk in and I noticed something interesting to me. Daniel 2 is the image and prophecy of Gods Kingdom set up in the last kingdoms. Chapter 3 is the account of the three hebrews and being thrown into the fire....I noted Daniel recorded that Nebuchaddnezzer had got so enraged that he require the furnace to be super heated , HOW MANY TIMES? SEVEN! And in Chapter 4 this is the account of the Dream Tree and that it would be cut down for SEVEN TIMES.

I began to think that Jehovah was paying back to Nebuchadnezzar this punishment he himself sentenced against Gods faithful servants.
Now I know this may sound a bit of a stretch. but now consider Leviticus 26 in it Jehovah tells Israel that he will punish them for their unfaithfulness for how many times ? Seven Times....And he repeats it over and over here....punishment , duration until its work is complete.

So I concluded that this dream tree and the seven times of punishment was upon Nebuchadnezzer and was not specific in years but just a duration upon which Gods punishment would have its intended purpose accomplished. So then it would seem to be a mistake to conclude that the seven times were seven years and thus we could calculate this time period and apply the tree to Gods expression of rulership over the earth.

Thus this " illusion " of the Devils is shown to be just that , and Illusion.
I then studied the book , Gentile Times re considered and found that the date is not 607 B.C.E. but 587 B.C.E.
and so the entire lie is dismantled , the gentile times is yet future as Jesus said " will be" in the future tense , and as Revelation explains ,,,just ahead as Revelation 11 : 1-4 indicates.

While the book Gentile times reconsidered pushes the date to 1934 CE it is most likely not a date having significant importance to bible prophecy, it is simply Gods execution of punishment on Nebuchadnezzars haughtiness , as he was warned by Daniel and while Jesus did allude to a specific account of Daniel on the disgusting thing , it does not facilitate that he intended the Tree Dream to be anything important to his prophecies or otherwise , at least in my mind, that he would have also referred to it.

I believe and always have believed in the words of James ...like you say Always asking, seeking , knocking...James said Jehovah will give wisdom to anyone asking and with out reproach...so asking Jehovah is a first step in understanding his word.
He also gave us one another to help...thank you to all.
Have a great day .....

I no longer attend meetings but I do read the WT study , and listen to the video's . While there are some great applications of bible principles, I also do not agree with them on this. I believe we have already seen this idea of a strange direction....at work , with the covid vaccines and masks.
They even have on the Kingdom hall Doors a notice that " it is strongly recommended " that you wear a mask while attending meetings, but not imposed. This event and its agenda shows the Gb is in line with the UN and that they are indeed being trained to accept any direction from the GB without thinking ...it even says that in this study. At that time to question the reasonableness of the direction will most likely cost you your life...fear mongering.
That's it in a nut shell. The fear mongering I think is what it's all about. They want everyone to not just obey but they want Jws to be too afraid to think for themselves. They want to make sure that no one else leaves the congregation. If you leave you won't get the life saving, strange, illogical direction that you must follow or else die. And they won't be able to afford their pinkie rings.

In it Brother Franz said that Unity was more important than bible truth
I keep pointing out in one of these Covid updates the GB memeber who gave that one said, and I quote "we'll have Jehovah's blessing and more importantly unity." He said and recorded that unity was more important than Jehovah's Blessing. I forget which update and which GB memeber it was. That to me said it all, and they cannot take it back. But it also speaks volumes that no one called him out on it when they were recording that! No one said to him, "do you really think you should say anything is more important than Jehovah's Blessing?" It really is remarkable!

The explanation of the seven times as calculation for the 1914 date was a stumbling block in 1986. There was nobody who could explain this in a meaningful way at that time (and they were getting tired of trying to explain it). I did not have the understanding to see so clearly as you stated above, but I did have the understanding to know that the explanation given was not right.

This did not stop me from learning the truth from the JW organization, publications and translations. It did however stop me from entering the org, going to bethel, and finding a calling that has eluded me for a lifetime. The JW org has definitely published the good news of the kingdom more accurately than any other.

I would say in 1986 I received instructions that seemed strange, impractical and illogical.

Here we go again...

So I'm scanning through this weeks WT study based on ch 4 of Zechariah. The good ol' FFDS couldn't help but use the opportunity to sneak in their favorite conditioner. You see, it's a 2 in 1 shampoo and conditioner. Or should I say, practical spiritual article with a bit of conditioning added for future use. Check out paragraph 16 under the subheading, "When it is challenging to follow Directions":

Another way that Jehovah provides direction is by means of “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matt. 24:45) At times, this slave may give direction that we do not fully understand. For example, we may receive specific instructions designed to prepare us to survive a natural disaster that we think is unlikely to occur in our area. Or we may feel that the slave is being overly cautious during a pandemic. What should we do if we feel that the instructions given are not practical? We can think about how the Israelites benefited by heeding the counsel given through Joshua and Zerubbabel. We can also think about other Bible accounts that we have read. Sometimes God’s people received direction that did not appear to be practical from a human standpoint but turned out to be lifesaving.—Judg. 7:7; 8:10.

Again, I can't help but feel they are priming the sheep for something specific. My spidey senses are tingling.

I just read it... what a disappointment when I read paragraph 5😩. I agree with you it's a 2x1

mine too. The Gov Body wouldn’t repeatedly use such diction if it weren’t actually setting JWs up for instructions that are in fact strange, impractical or illogical. This isnt a warning, it’s a pretext.

1 Cor 14:33 For God is a God not of disorder but of peace.

Thanks for the laugh. Conditioning seriously just thrown in there.
It's quite infuriating the sly mocking being used: "Or we may feel that the slave is being overly cautious during a pandemic", too right. They've instilled fear, but not the right one. It seems many have been asking about it. A lot of ones in my congregation are fed up of writing letters.
It seems to imply we may receive specific instructions to survive something that seems overly cautious?
"this slave may give direction that we do not fully understand" --> Have they shown themselves to be true prophets in that we should follow their direction? That's a resounding no! The comparison to the Israelites is plainly not comparable.

So true, it's despicable. Just more fuel for the sheep to use when someone questions the strange, illogical directions. "Brother, don't you trust the overly cautious Zerubbabel class?"

I didn't notice the illustration until they displayed it during the meeting. Wow, Samuel Herd has been promoted to the Joshua class. Now he can deliver those illogical instructions just ...like ...Joshua...huh?

Thanks! I always wondered about the 7 times and I think you've got a really good explanation there.

I think that the GB are simply covering themselves against a decline in their mental faculties to explain their unfounded teachings. We call that dementia - they call it “…not practical directions…” The more a liar tries to explain himself, the more outlandish their story becomes. I can think of no other explanation to this announcement of ”impractical advice” by the GB, other than that they do not have the vocabulary to explain their way out of the corner they have painted themselves into with their lies. The best retort to such gobbledegook of theirs would be to send them the unabridged version of the complete Oxford English Dictionary and suggest that they read it. My guess is that they will not get past Amphisbaenia, but should they do so, then they will certainly fail at “eunoia”.

It is written that the KotN will lead many into apostasy by smooth words & those who know their God will prevail yet suffer as a result.
That particular verse stands out to me. I have seen the cooperation that the org has been giving the nwo gov. They have been in lockstep. I also have suspected the nwo has its mockingbird people in the org. Their strategy is quite brilliant. Attack, letoff, Attack, letoff. Over and over. They stop for periods to confuse and convince you the org is still there. But then pounce with with some strange declaration. All being done with the psychological touch. It's enough to leave one scratching Their head. But in this It's important to keep a mental record of all behaviors so as not to forget. Only then can you piece together the deviant and sly moves.

They are engaging intrigue and enticement by special information for the initiated only.....They have nothing, only keeping them in suspense for what they already have...nothing! If they have anything it is from the Watchman only!

I was wondering what you was on about, I didn't notice Samuel Herd in the photo before.
I checked and it seems to have been taken from update #6.

Watching a bit of update #6 again:
0:58 "We're happy to report that about 50% of the worldwide Bethel family have been vaccinated so far"
2:03 "What factors might a Christian consider in making the decision? Number 1, as Jehovah's witnesses we do not have a religious objection to vaccination. Number 2, we're in the midst of a pandemic. As of July 9 over 19,000 of our dear brothers and sisters have died from the virus. Number 3, in some lands the superior authorities have made laws requiring all of their citizens to be vaccinated... we each must weigh such factors when making our own personal decision"

"How the faithful city has become a prostitute! She was full of justice; Righteousness used to lodge in her, But now murderers. 22 Your silver has become dross, And your beer is diluted with water. 23 Your princes are stubborn and partners with thieves. Every one of them loves a bribe and chases after gifts. They do not grant justice to the fatherless, And the legal case of the widow never reaches them."
(Isaiah 1:21-23).
