A podcast that I listen to brought up an interesting point regarding the mask and vaccines mandates. Some of us knew all long but others are now just becoming aware that these mandates were never about health but instead are about body sovereignty. The vaccines and masks, either knowingly or by trickery, are symbols that someone else is master over our body. We cannot allow that to happen if we have dedicated our lives to Jehovah. Perhaps that is why Jehovah did not allow the Israelites to make cuts on their bodies or tattoo their bodies. Here are some relevant scriptures:
Leviticus 19:27-28: “You must not shave the hair on the side of your head or disfigure the edges of your beard. “‘You must not make cuts in your flesh for a dead person, and you must not make tattoo markings on yourselves. I am Jehovah”.
Deuteronomy 14:1: “You are sons of Jehovah your God. Do not cut yourselves or shave your foreheads bald for a dead person“.
Romans 6:16: “Do you not know that if you present yourselves to anyone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey, either of sin leading to death or of obedience leading to righteousness?”
Deuteronomy 23:1: “No man who has been castrated by having his testicles crushed or who has had his male organ cut off may come into the congregation of Jehovah.”
Also I found it interesting that any man with a “defect” could not approach Jehovah’s altar. I think perhaps this is why many brothers and sisters are concerned about damaging their DNA with the vaccines. We know that Jehovah can and will heal us if we are faithful but that doesn’t mean that we should degrade ourselves willingly.
Leviticus 21:16-23: “Jehovah continued to speak to Moses, saying: “Tell Aaron, ‘No man of your offspring throughout their generations who has a defect may approach to present the bread of his God. If there is any man who has a defect, he may not approach: a man who is blind or lame or has a disfigured face or one limb too long, a man with a fractured foot or a fractured hand, a hunchback or a dwarf, or a man with an eye defect or eczema or ringworm or damaged testicles. No man of the offspring of Aaron the priest who has a defect may approach to present Jehovah’s offerings made by fire. Because he has a defect, he may not approach to present the bread of his God. He may eat the bread of his God from the most holy things and from the holy things. However, he may not come near the curtain, and he may not approach the altar, because there is a defect in him; and he should not profane my sanctuary, for I am Jehovah, who is sanctifying them.’”
