One other thing I’d like to mention. When the stores run out of food, there will be riots. We’ve seen the absurdity that happened when the “pandemic“ started and people were hoarding toiletpaper. What do you think will happen if people can’t provide for their families. By being prepared, you can avoid having to go to the store and putting yourself in harm’s way.

They say the first 3 months are the worst cause there will be looting, rioting and people starving. So having at least 3 months of food will give you a better chance at survival.

Plus, we’ve seen prices go up and they will continue to do so. Everything you buy now, you buy for today’s prices, that is a beter return than a savings account .That also means when prices go up even higher, you probably can afford the essentials that are non affordable for others.

It doesn’t mean you have to run to the stores and stack to the rafters, just buy some extra cans when they’re on sale. Buy some extra coffee, lady pads and tampons (cause there will be a shortage), over the counter pain medication, rice, pasta, things like that.

Living by the sea, I have bought myself a fishing rod to fend off hunger. I love sushi and smoked salmon not that there are any salmon in our waters. I had my first fishing rod when I was eleven. During my entire fishing career, I caught one fish, but that was with my brother’s fibreglass pike rod. When I saw the float go down, I excitedly pulled on the rod and all that remains in my memory is a silver streak flashing through the sky above my head and an empty hook dangling from the rod. A minute later, a fisherman from further up the bank strode up to me and in a rare turn of phrase, cast aspersions on my parenthood, my intelligence, my low position in society, plus a few choice observations of my skill in fishing, in a few well chosen expletives followed up by several intriguing and rather impossible suggestions as to what I should henceforth do with myself - none of which could be referenced in any self respecting thesaurus let alone a dictionary or even a book of American slang! That diatribe signalled the end of my fishing career, but I think it might be safer to give it another go, come the tribulation. In the interim, I shall be getting in some dried beans.

I like to think of Jehovah as a Father who knows each of his children , and every family member is different and has different abilities....he helps us according to our needs. So some of our brothers and sisters have much to buy stores for such events, others do not , they live day by day....month by month , financially. so buying stores just isn't in the cards for them , especially as things get worse...so we have to think like Jehovah and help each other but also know he will provide what we need....LOL not necessarily what we want...Remember Jesus words ..man does not live on bread alone...so if we survive this ordeal it will not be by bread , but by our faith and Jehovah's power...I am sure he knows how to make us strong enough even without food to survive if that is his will...I mean think of Samson, Elijah....the jar of oil and flour....Jesus suppling food for 5000 men besides women and little ones. We do not know how it will all turn out or even how we will make it to the reward....we just need to be faithful ...that is it...that is all that is required...faithfulness..like Christ Jesus. Don't be anxious , well not yet anyway....lol...each day he said has its own anxieties, sufficient for each day.
Jehovah will provide if our hearts are true. Nehemiah asked in prayer that Jehovah would let King Artaxerxes show him compassion in order to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

What does it mean to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem today? Not with timbers, but with spirit I think. With the whitening of our robes in anticipation of Christ's Bride? Is it with fasting, sack cloth and ashes? Thoughts?

thank you jay. I wish i could say the same. i live in an extremely small rental cabin out in the middle of nowhere in southern oregon. I worry every month if this is the month they kick us out. Lately i’m trying not to worry so much. That’s why i pray for more faith every day and Jehovah provides abundantly.
I have been a worrier my whole life. But, it doesn't do a darn bit of good. Prayer is the most comforting.

I would realy like to give you a big hug now ❤️
Thank you for eloquently putting all my thoughts into one post.
How big of a to go bag do you have for all of your materials? Do you think we will be in the comfort of our homes for the 42 months? That would sure be nice. Just wondering, been shopping for a back pack. If I get a large I might need a wagon to pull it around.

I have a bag pack that you can use going camping or trekking. I’m a woman, so I have a special one designed for women. I would get a large one as it’s always easier to have extra space instead of too little. Plus air doesn’t weigh that much 😉
But seriously, get a comfortable one. If you do have to walk for a long time, you‘ll be happy if you have a good fit as it can easily hurt your shoulders.

The question is, who are those instructions addressed to? Answer, those in Judea. Those already outside of Judea are told not to enter Jerusalem. And, we can also reason on the fact that although the first century fulfillment was literal, the fulfillment in the time of the end cannot be literal because as BagdadBill points out, the mountains are not literal for our time.
Zech14:5 "You will flee to the valley of my mountains" This scripture pertains to the 'Day belonging to Jehovah' vs7. For in that day living waters will flow out from Jerusalem vs8. Eze36:8 "For the mountains will produce fruitage for my people Israel for they will return"

i think the waiting and the anticipation is the hardest part. There is even a song written about that. But it’s true, and because of WT’s many false predictions we’ve been in anticipation of this our whole lives (expectation, notwithstanding) perhaps to the point we’ve created a complex post traumatic stress disorder for ourselves. or maybe i should just say myself.
I agree with you Asadour & it's not just you. Those of us who were raised in a state of fear our whole lives, expecting the worst at any moment. As early as 7 years old I remember hiding bibles in our attic and fully expected to be beaten half to death by the authorities. I Definitely have PTSD.

do you have one of those she-wees? I used to hang out with this outdoorsy sister who had all sorts of camping and hiking gear and she bought one of those. She said it’s much better than squatting. haha.
I do 🤣🤣🤣 I have never used it though. I’m afraid I’ll wet my pants. I really have to try it out 😄

hahaha. now, how did i know that. LMBO.

i said: ew, you carry that around? and she said to me: yes! urine is sterile, you know. I loved that sister so much and i miss her so much, and i think of her all the time. Look how Watchtower divides and destroys people who love and care about each other. sigh.

Mine is still brand spanking new but I’ll be rinsing it after each use 😉

it’s sad. Hopefully she’ll come around when Christ comes back. We can always hope.

we have each other now. To help and provide for and to comfort each other with Jehovah’s loving words. It’s such a miracle that we have all found each other. There was a time that i didn’t think this was possible.

My thought would be that if there is any whitening to do, it will have to come from our self if we are to show appreciation for the sacrifice. ‘Whitening of our robes’ (or rather the robes of the anointed) surely means to emulate all aspects of the example set by Christ. The agreement of the sheep, I suppose is signalled by “taking hold” of those robes - as the bible points out, to feed, clothe, visit in jail, those ones. Rebuilding the walls then, may be seen in our willingness to reconstruct or at least emulate, the spiritual values of Eden that formed the basis of the initial kingdom on earth. Christ paid for that to happen, but now are added, the 144000. The bible notes that Jehovah will “cause to become”, therefore, if He intended a spiritual and physical paradise on earth, then that is going to happen - and fortunately for us, it’s not going to be the mockery of such that the watchtower already claims has been instituted by them in their marbled lake-side villa awash with whiskey and self applause.

Not just you my sister, I feel safe in saying that there are more than a few of us with some sort of PTSD. Keep busy with study and prayer. One day at a time. You are not alone. I feel we (I use the word we loosely, not leaving anyone out) are together in spirit. And Jehovah is always watching over us and Jesus said he is with us. I like to remind myself that there was another in the fire, another in the lion's den, 2 were with Stephen when he was stoned, 2 took Lot's family by the hand, etc. We are never alone.
I think, now that I've lost my religion and found the real truth in on the road to sanity, maybe....🤪🙃😜
I was born with PTSD. In my day, it was the norm. Then I was sent to boarding school - they only taught one subject and that was Permanent traumatic stress disorder. If you didn’t fail in life, you were beaten until you did. Everyone passed. It set me up for life and I have never been disappointed! 💥
