I took this photo yesterday while stuck in traffic in Waikiki. It looks like the sun in between the buildings that scrape the sky, but in person it was clearly the moon with it’s crater shadows. I’ll call it Moon Over Waikiki!
Medi-Tator and I were at the hospital today. (July 18, 2023) He was supposed to get his 3rd stent but he has a tear in the vein they were using to access his heart arteries and so they had to abandon the procedure and deal with the vein because of the blood thinners and risk of stroke. Hopefully we try another day.
Update: We made it home after about 10 hours and he still has 2 arms but didn’t get his stent.
Medi-Tator is home and the stent procedure was successful. Unfortunately, he will need a 3rd stent and a valve also, but apparently they can use the same procedure of going through an artery rather than open heart surgery. So far so good.
Medi-Tator is having 2 stents inserted into his artery. So I’m waiting at the hospital. Queens in Honolulu, which is know for having a great cardiac department. While waiting I stopped in at the cafeteria hoping to get some coffee. On the way to the checkout it was overloaded with candy bars. I am so in shock I had to take photos. Here is one photo:
