Something borrowed, mental institution aptly describes the org today. You know, after the 2.5 years of pandemic propaganda from Bethel NY, we finally decided to leave that mental institution.
After reading so many experiences on this forum and video of @Watchman you begin to separate yourself from that groupthink.
If I’m honest, I still have to unlearn a lot of "habits" I picked up from 20+ years in the org but I reckon everyone has to deal with that.
But it was really amazing to hear the complete one liners from these two "live" in our living room.
It’s just like @Sunshower said, it’s all based on emotions.
The whole pandemic scare from Bethel has solely been based on emotional blackmail.
The phrase "Jehovah wouldn’t allow it" or "wait on Jehovah" has brainwashed the jws and if bad stuff does happen then they fall back on "well we expect this to happen" (the last days and all that) or "this isn’t the life we expect".
It’s a very clever mechanism to be honest but it keeps them in a state of acceptance and the need to be reassured all the time by the GB.
It’s astonishing to see that many jws not even know what the GB really wants them to believe.
So where in this mindset comes Jehovah?
Jehovah has left the building a long time ago. All they do is repeating the same mantras over and over again.
Maybe if you say "safe and effective" long enough, maybe you will believe Big Pharma promises.
Same goes for the GB. It’s quiet sad in the end but you can’t reach them, that is pretty clear.
Makes you wonder what will happen to all these people when the SHTF comes and it will.
Jesus was referring to his people at the time of his return when he said many will be stumbled courtesy of the borganization.
