If you were shocked, imagine how it will be for them...

I don't know if this goes here, but reading this article made me realize more than ever how shocking will be for jws when the prophecies of their beloved Watchtower are broken in front of their eyes when the organization falls in the middle of the great tribulation while Babylon the Great continues to exist and is not destroyed after the declaration of peace and security. If your awakening was harsh and tough, imagine how it will be for millions of jws when their beloved organization goes silent and everything they have expected for the near future is not accomplished. When all that is shattered. When they see that the world will be at the edge of complete annihilation because of the use of nuclear weapons, when everything they have said it's been accomplished truly happens, and that the Anglo-American dyad is not the last power, but that the king of the north will take control of the whole world in the form of an empowered United Nations before Babylon the Great is destroyed and Armageddon comes.

Question: I am trying to figure out when in the line of events the WT will fall. So you think it will be during the great tribulation? What kind of bad "life-saving advice" do you think that they'll give?

From what I've read in the Revelation--Grand Climax at Hand! book, that we've always believed that WT would be closed down just like Babylon the Great and that the 8th King was the UN that would rule for one hour. The WT has even said in the last few years that they might not always be around and that communication with them might be cut off and to listen to the local elders then. And Bro Herd said not to fret when they are taken up to heaven during the GT since they were old and could do more good for us up in heaven than on earth.

I'm not defending them, just trying to be accurate as to what exactly will shock the organization when the doors shutter. I am interested in hearing how people think this will happen. Scandal? Imprisonment? What?

What I have to write about this is quite long and I'm about to sleep now. Hahaha. So, I will do it tomorrow. Nevertheless, I can say now that one of the "life saving instructions" they might give is what they have been saying for decades: stay inside and obey us. They might even base that in what Jeremiah told the jews when Jerusalem was attacked by the Babylonians. He advised them to stay in Jerusalem and don't go to Egypt. But we know that the advise now is the contrary: Jerusalem MUST be abandoned. They said for decades that Jerusalem was Christendom, but that's not the case anymore. In the future, we can expect any kind of nonsense from them to explain what's going on and what to do, but the instructions given in the Bible are very clear: leave the city and even Judea or die. As simple as that.

Have you seen the 2023 drama yet? They are conditioning Witnesses to go to refugee camps. The scriptures alternatively say to go into your interior rooms and also to flee to the mountains.

Having read the article I find it so superficial and demeaning to the intelligence that it will pass right over the heads of the congregation. It hardly raises a biblical question. Compare it to the articles that Robert has written on the same subject numerous times and you can see how the facts, plainly put, (and actually, powerfully written with no soppy “loving directional ” quotes) alert the reader to issues that require an honest self appraisal. Even less, there is no inference to depend on the author of the essay to steer your way, but the positive urge to fend for yourself before it is too late. What the watchtower article puts forward is little more than a beginners psychology lesson in seeking approval and dominance from a willing participant in self delusion. The “agreement with the grave”. It is this delusion that is implanted in all watchtower literature that will provide the shock for the congregation rather than articles such as the one you quote. The damage has already been accomplished and there is no escape now from the outcome for those remaining in the organisation. Their reaction will be just as it is described in the bible. What we can do is to resolve to make ourselves available to our brothers and sisters and to be prepared to go to their rescue. We can do this in many ways from the spiritual through to the necessities of life on their behalf. We have been given the figurative Talent of silver to invest in them, so it is not so much about what shock and awe our brethren will be feeling at being exposed to the lie, but rather what will WE do to help them at that time. You don’t go to the victim of car crash to ask them how they feel about their driving. You go to provide their means of life if you can. The watchtower article is written more for us than it is for them, if we choose to read between the lines.

Paragraph 9 jumped out to me

You, or anyone else, can not hope to be “accurate” in our analysis of how others will feel or what they will do in times of stress. The bible is clear on what we should do, and demands that we do it. Simply choose your subject and click on what is brought up. Bible hub is very helpful in instantly giving you a choice to consider. It’s best to rely on your own study and ask questions on your own understanding, than to ask it of others and argue their opinion when given it. Many come here thinking they can put their argument forward in that way to “teach” others. Not so. It’s just contentious argument. The first lesson in asking questions is to listen. The Boreans form the basis of this teaching. The second is to reason on what it learnt and test it for its validity. The Boreans again. Then it may be prudent to ask for an explanation as to ‘why’? Reason on that, and then maybe ask for justification on equal ground. When on level ground, one can argue with understanding and humility . Then there is learning. That is the point of a forum. The root of the word in Latin also refers to a tribunal, indicating the examination of fact rather than supposition. Faith and fact - though grammatically strange bedfellows - is the basis of this forum.

GOOD GRIEF !!!

Par 9 also got my attention. Time to TURN THE CHANNEL, this one is just about burnt out.

Par 14 really caught my attention

"Are you convinced that Daniel's prophecy regarding the feet of Iron and clay is true"?

If so, that will affect the way you live your life. You will not SEEK OUT real estate, hedge funds , oops I mean you will not seek out MATERIAL SECURITY at WALLKILL, I meant to say in a world that will soon be out of existence.

Do I (gb) make decisions that show I am convinced God's Kingdom will soon put an end to RAMAPO , oops sorry to all human governments.

As usual the article starts off of in my opinion with their typical manipulative gobbly gook . It took me years to see how they do this mind stuff all the time.

The manipulation from this wt article reminds me of when I was in workforce and they wanted to collect money for a charity. Sorry I can't remember which one. But every year they would have this big corporate DANISH PASTRY MEETING early in morning. They would start off by playing a very EMOTIONAL video/movie about handicapped folks overcoming horrendous challenges to reach their goals.

When video was over they passed out cards and you had to pledge or write in how much you wanted deducted from your paycheck to give to this charity. The mind, emotional stuff to me was disgraceful. Yes and my big mouth told my supervisor as much. I had good supervisor I could say stuff and he would not get all bent out of shape.

They musta run outta stuff to write about so they resort from time to time with an article like this. Most jw will think WOW THIS IS GREAT, WE ARE SO CLOSE.
Jehovah knows what we need.

Prayers for our brothers and sisters are surely needed.

Sad.

Not here to argue, Barnaby, yes just learn.

I have been studying the Bible daily this whole time and have in fact come to learn which is why I posted what I did. Sorry if it didn't come across that way. But I feel that often times when we criticize the WT, it's important to have valid criticisms and acknowledge when they have indeed been accurate like Robert has been really good at doing in his writings. It gives him credibility and he doesn't come across as someone with an axe to grind by criticizing everything.

Not that there isn't a lot of inaccuracy and things to criticize, but I don't think that's why we are all here. It's because we are thirsty for the truth and want to please Jehovah and be faithful. We all teach each other by bouncing ideas off of each other. That's why the WT lesson has comments at the meetings. We often get more out of the lesson when we hear someone else phrase it a different way.

I have many questions about upcoming events that I have been positively ordered by my local elders not to talk about because it's deemed "speculation" and "conspiracy theories". I wrote the branch asking them if they thought that the 3.5 times applied to the great tribulation and the branch called my COBI and asked if I was apostate.

I cannot talk about any of this stuff with ANYONE in my daily life for fear of being put out of the organization. It's been the most oppressive experience and been a real test. Silencing anyone or censoring them because it triggers fears or we don't agree is not helpful. We need to talk to process things. Are we going to be wrong about stuff? Of course. The apostles were wrong about Bible prophecy but Jehovah did not get rid of them. We are imperfectly trying to figure out the perfect word of God. All of us. None of us can say we have all the answers and I certainly don't.

Cmon Luis, stop raining on the WT's paradise parade. I guess that's why only a third of the .org get refined while the other two thirds will be revulsed at their once cherished leaders.

“And Bro Herd said not to fret when they are taken up to heaven during the GT since they were old and could do more good for us up in heaven than on earth.”
The chariot they hear coming up fast behind them to whisk them up into heaven will more likely be a FEMA jail bus coming to take them to a camp where they’ll be offered a bag of gold to turn their brethren in.
