I always wanted to grow a beard. I just find them uncomfortable, so I never keep one very long, despite hating to shave. Plus they a lot of work. But it's good the Org is admitting that this really isn't their place. They should have put this out years ago.

Sounds like the Org is getting desperate at this rate.That was painful to watch. You know how the WT is fond of talking about keeping up with Jehovah's fast-paced celestial chariot? It is more like a plodding ox-drawn cart.

The subject on beards starts around the 4 minute mark. I can’t believe it. He has the nerve to point out what the scriptures have said for centuries but talk like it’s something they‘re understanding for the first time! What..is this, “new light?”

I suppose it's damage control. Back when I was active I would've looked at it with total positivity. Now I am left wondering what is the true intent. I doubt they would redefine the Parousia since that would just straight up shatter the faith of many.

This whole beard business was just so ridiculous, I remember when I was in the org as a unbaptize publisher, the elder and people use to always bug me about my beard. This whole update was painful to watch
Now I'm all in on that, but I doubt it'll happen. Maybe now that Tight pants Tony is out we'll be able to get away with wearing leggings, which is my favorite attire with a long blouse of course.

Exactly, and exactly. LOL. The fact of the matter is, they don't really care or this would have happened 20 years ago. But I am left wondering if somehow they can make the "judging" retroactive? Because there was never anything wrong with beards, and their poor attempt to claim other wise is just that, a poor attempt.
They are just making things up as they go along. I seem to remember someone telling me or I read it somewhere, that a lot of brothers grew beards during Covid. I wonder if they think it's preventing in person meeting attendance? Who knows, but I think PJ is on the money, the real reason their doing this they aren't going to share!

We read yesterday somewhere, that WT just lost it's suit in Spain against the EX-JW victims org, and it said they lost every single action they brought against them. And the judge ruled that WT "is a cult." We think that's what it meant, we were reading a translation, which said the judge called WT a "sect", which doesn't make any sense. In any case WT lost, and the judge awarding the defense the lawyer fees. Just one more reason I am glad I stopped donating to WT.

I thought of that too, and I have noticed more and more brothers were wearing beards even before Covid. That would certainly be true of a lot of brothers were already wearing beards.
