I have just read the magazine - thanks for the reference. I can’t say it has enlivened my day! It basically says that the anointed will go to heaven and rule, and that those in earth will be “looked after”, - like leaving your dog in a kennel while you go on holiday. It does not speak of qualifications required to live the life promised us. Nothing about faith, endurance, the love of one another that Paul H was talking about in his comment the other day, caring for the widow and those impoverished - for that matter, the anointed also. This is largely the issue with watchtower, it’s all about action and reaction, nothing of content and developing the fruits of the spirit within ourselves for the simple love of righteousness. Trusting in others, doing as we are told are not required of us primarily. There has to be a motivator within us for those things to be appreciated with understanding. Developing love of and for the attributes of Spirit are required, because without that, we have no knowledge or understanding of the entitlement to life.
