This pretty much sums up exactly what i have been saying. I'm not going to post the link because it's from exJW Reddit, and reading those comments have to be taken with a large portion of salt. Those people are lost for the most part because of what WT and the GB have done to them/us, although if anyone wants the link I'll PM it to you if you ask. Some of them are worth a read. But there is so much poison there you can only stomach so much before it makes you sick. But here's the topic, and the first comment.

"Why do JW's not think that viewing everything the governing body says as coming from God as Idolatry? Are they not literally projecting the image of God onto men.

If you disagree with what the governing body says you are simultaneously disagreeing with what God says. That is one of the most blatant forms of idolatry I've ever seen. Saying that whatever comes out of the Governing body's mouth must not be questioned as if it was god. The governing body are just 8 crazy men ffs."

I'm sure you can find a wholesome meal in a garbage can too. It will take some looking though. I hate it when I have to rub the coffee grounds off the day old buns, myself. :)

Yep, that about sums it up! They believe that they are Gods. 2 Thessalonians 2:4,9-12.

Hmm…your comment made me think about the movie with the title The Gods Must Be Crazy made in 1980

Some people think it's so "special" to be anointed. It really isn't unless they were perfect like Jesus Christ was. They aren't "special" while upon the earth, but if they really are anointed, their place in heaven would be special. Just cause they are anointed doesn't mean they are perfect like Jesus Christ. They used to teach this to the Witnesses back a decade or so ago but things changed, especially during the pandemic. Some Witnesses started to question you if you disagree with suggestions and direction from them. I had to eventually learn how to counteract this and talked about King Saul, and even though he was Jehovah's anointed, he was far from perfect. Would you listen to the anoited King Saul if he told you to take up a sword and kill David for him? I know I wouldn't because I actually use discretion and pray to Jehovah for seeking answers and if I'm still unsure about something I won't act on it just because someone in high regard told me to do so.

Giving the example of King Saul. Others I talked to realize what I was saying was right and didn't question me anymore. I think they too are realizing not to see Jehovah's organization or the GB as perfect cause nothing on earth is. But out of all religious organizations JW have it more right than any other religious organization, just don't blindly follow direction unless it's like from Jesus Christ or Jehovah or an angelic messenger.

I used to visit Reddit but I can't stand that website anymore. It really has turned into a demonic hive mind. And no use into talking into black pilled ex JW's who actually gone far on the deep end and have turned into atheists or are unapologetic sinners with some of them being LGBTQ radicals. And unfortunately many of those are all over Reddit.

It’s difficult enough to understand the question let alone the answer. “Why do JWs not think….”. Maybe they do…clearly some do not. I suppose living in a world of double negatives is part and parcel of being an active JW in this day. Damned if you do, damned if you do not.

Unfortunately many choose the easy way.
They don't want to stand out or make waves, so they allow themselves to be carried along by the crowd.
That is how it is on the wide road. (Mt 7:13, 14)

Why does Matthew 7:14 say that "few" find the narrow road, while Revelation 7:9 says that a "great crowd" make it through Armageddon?
Because Matthew 7:14 is not about the numbers. It is about the conditions on the road.
On the wide road you don't have to make any decisions or stand-up for anything because you are allowing yourself to be swept along by the crowd.
Taking the wide road means taking the easy road.

But on the narrow road you have to exert yourself to make your way along it.

(Luke 13:24) Exert yourselves vigorously to get in through the narrow door.

Many think that being compliant and non-confrontational is what it means to be a sheep, so they allow themselves to be carried along.
If you are "going with the flow", if you are allowing yourself to be carried along by those around you because it is the easy thing to do, then you are on the wide road.

(1 Timothy 6:12) Fight the fine fight of the faith; get a firm hold on the everlasting life for which you were called and you offered the fine public declaration in front of many witnesses.

:)

Following the path of least resistance is what makes rivers and Men crooked.

That's my own quote but a memorable and very truthful one.

Oh boy :(. I'm scheduled for a zoom shepherding call tomorrow evening and reading the advice here. I'm wondering if I should just shut up and smile vacuously or mention why I never turn my camera on, answer questions or meet up for service anymore since March 2020...

Well the other sheep are judged on how they treated Christ's Brothers. Matt 25:34-40 No they aren't perfect though, not yet anyhow. They do have a rather singular privilege though. When they are martyred by the forces of this world they will be resurrected to deliver a devastating ass-kicking on those self same forces. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

If you cancel the meeting, it will probably be better off. What they do not know, the cannot judge. One thing fir sure is that what ever you say will be taken down and used against you. If they have not spoken to you, then even if they take action in your absence, then they condemn themselves - as it should be. Your silence is a protection for as long as you use it.

This is solid advice from Jehovah: Psalm 4:4 “Be agitated, but do not sin. Say what YOU have to say, in YOUR heart, on YOUR bed, and be silent.” Came for me tolate ;)

Have you had your meeting then? I hope it was not too intimidating for you. When I have my summons to the back-room, I went thinking it would be a message of love and support. What I got was a foretaste of the treachery to come from the very people charged with caring for the sheep of the shepherd.

When the phonecall came, I asked them to leave me my privacy, because I wasn’t mentally capable to speak with them (no lie). But suddenly they where at my door without notice. So I didn’t let them in and asked them the same: to respect my privacy and state of mind. But no hope. So I wrote them a letter with my ‘complain’ that last year I asked them for theocratic help, when my husband suddenly was placed in a home, they told me to figure it out by my self. But now I’m not at a meeting, not going from door to door, not standing with the chart now, they suddenly, after a year and a half they remembered Act. 20:28. I told them thank you, but no thank you, I figure it out for my self. I hope that they leave me be……

Well, I just let them talk. One of the brothers (young ministerial servant) was obviously being "trained" on how to do a shepherding call and he was clueless. He was speaking to me as if I were a householder at the door and went off a prepared script. He had me read Rev. (new heavens and new earth) and asked me what I thought. (I've been an active witness for 48 years...) oh boy...

I asked the older elder about what advice and direction the GB was giving in light of the coming financial collapse and imminent nuclear exchange. He just smiled, said "none" and quoted Ps 27:35. See? Nothing to worry about. I said if each brother is looking to someone else to supply him with his needs, and nobody is doing anything how would that work? Shouldn't you at least tell the new mothers in the congregation to have a stash of cloth diapers just in case Walmart stocks disappear? Crickets. At that juncture I decided to play dumb, as continuing with logic would eventually lead to me saying too much and I'm trying to fade not make a big mess for myself ...yet.
I would say there is only active encouragement to not think about anything at all as that would show lack of faith. The conclusion to the visit was "as long as we obey the organization we will be safe" For real they said that.
I felt very sorry for them, and increasingly alienated... so I did not mention anything about vx etc.
I will say that I am of the conviction that the boosted have had their minds altered in some way chemically and will not question or reason on anything coming from the Org. This they may extrapolate to authorities in general as well. So, beware of betrayals...something doesn't feel right.

Another time I just didn’t respond to their request. Although I know elders in one congregation might be different from others.

We have a new CO coming at the end of the month. From what I’m hearing I’m beginning to wonder if they’re being trained to become more tyrannical? 😕 We’ll see…the time will come when we’re going to have to make a run for it…as in FLEEING from the congregations / organization!

It has crossed my mind that as things get weirder they might get the idea to purge the ranks of the less enthusiastic members and blame Jesus and Jehovah of course. I could see the GB spying on Bethelites as their paranoia grows and then demanding the congregation weed out their inactive, etc. That will be the sign to change your phone number and run for sure 😅

Just about everything they do and say is so nonsensical.

This calls for reinforcing our “sword of the spirit“ so we can call back to mind God’s reminders such as Proverbs 22:3
The shrewd one sees the danger and conceals himself,
But the inexperienced keep right on going and suffer the consequences.”

I remember how they would continuously cite/ read this scripture when the plandemic started and for months thereafter. It was applied with reference to staying in your houses, mask wearing, 6 ft social distancing blah blah blah 😑 How stupid!!! What a misapplication of scripture.
It applies now more than ever to those of us on here now as well as those who may be undecided.

The GB and their partners are the “inexperienced“ therefore if anyone continues to follow them they’re going to “suffer the consequences.” Like Jesus said…“A blind man cannot guide a blind man, can he? Both will fall into a pit, will they not?” —Luke 6:39

“If,then, a blind man guides a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” —Matt.15:14

So by your saying “beware of betrayals…something doesn’t feel right“___
It’s because those of us who ‘see’ what’s really going on…from their being so clueless, going by a script, talking in such a robotic manner, not questioning anything and only following these few men who are nothing but “Blind guides”
We already know what the consequences will be for not heeding Jesus’ warnings!!!

I pray that many ‘open their eyes’ soon. 🙏

😊
