Imagine the nerve the people have to celebrate their deaths. Acting like it's Christmas because of such evil. What they will learn is that when you attack & kill ambassadors of a land, that's an act of militant aggression (a declaration of war).
I imagine we'll be crying. Watching them destroy God's chosen ones. We may even personally know some of them. It will be very upsetting. But our grief will be turned to joy when the very one's they execute come back with their spiritual bodies to absolutely destroy them and their twisted way of thinking.

Question

“Then I saw another wild beast ascending out of the earth, and it had two horns like a lamb, but it began speaking like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first wild beast in its sight. And it makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first wild beast, whose mortal wound was healed. . . “And it was permitted to give breath to the image of the wild beast, so that the image of the wild beast should both speak and cause to be killed all those who refuse to worship the image of the wild beast.” (Re 13:11-15)

Should I take this to mean the great crowd will be killed off and have to be resurrected to survive the great tribulation?

No. Everybody killed by Satan's evil system will be those who didn't worship the beast, but it isn't literally meaning everybody who refused the mark will be killed. The Bible also says everybody will be forced to get the mark, but we know not everybody gets the mark.
