Had a bit of a light-bulb moment just now. In Jesus' illustration of the 10 virgins, the call comes in the middle of the night, a loud shout, saying: ‘Here is the bridegroom! Go out to meet him.’
What form will this declaration take? Since the call comes in the middle of the night, when thieves are on the prowl, the startling notice that the bridegroom is here must coincide with their saying "peace and security," which, of course, is an immediate prelude to the day of the Lord coming as suddenly as a thief in the night. The fact that Paul said we would not be overtaken as thieves only applies to the true sons, whom Paul called sons of day and sons of light. The GB and the WT will not have any control over it since whenever they say "peace and security" will be plainly evident for all and will not need to be interpreted or explained to the sons of light. In fact, those who look to the WT for life-saving directions will find that their oil lamps have flickered out and they will be locked out of the wedding feast.
God has set it up so that only those who belong to Christ will know the way out to meet the Lord.
