Jehovah wouldn't allow it...

A lot has happened these last 4 years...my understanding and insight have certainly been expanded, and I thank Jehovah, Robert and everyone here. One thing I have recently come to understand is how much history is repeating and does repeat itself. So much of what inhibits the R&F from realizing that something is very wrong with "Jehovah's Origination" and that is this idea that "Jehovah wouldn't allow it."

I just realized that is actually in the Bible! "Jehovah wouldn't allow it"...it's not worded quite that way, but I think you will all realize it meant the exact same thing, and I think the most telling thing of all, is how Jesus responded to that very idea....

Matt 16...21 From that time forward, Jesus began explaining to his disciples that he must go to Jerusalem and suffer many things from the elders and chief priests and scribes and be killed, and on the third day be raised up. 22 At this Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him, saying: “Be kind to yourself, Lord; you will not have this happen to you at all.” 23 But turning his back,* he said to Peter: “Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me, because you think, not God’s thoughts, but those of men.”

Peter was convinced Jehovah would NOT ALLOW Jesus to suffer in this manner...yet he did, and why? Because this system remains under the control of Satan. And remains that way until now. Jehovah will indeed allow it, and does allow it, until Armageddon.

But I think what Jesus said should be very eye opening to us. Most of us, because we are Jehovah's Witnesses, and have had so much of our thinking controlled and steered by WT and the GB, we only think what Jesus was talking about was the fact that Peter didn't want Jesus to die. But what did Jesus actually say about this? First of all he said "Get behind me Satan"...so the first thing Jesus does is attribute this thinking that Peter had become subject to, to Satan.

While Jesus does also say, Peter was thinking, "not God's thought but men"...but we have to ask ourselves what Jesus meant by those words. Of course Satan WANTED to kill Jesus, he had to TRY to get him to betray Jehovah...that was the whole point. He could not pass up the opportunity even if it resulted in his failure. So why does Jesus tell Peter "get behind me Satan"? Well I think it is obvious, Peter's words and that thinking would lead to questioning Jesus resolve, but also, that Jehovah was not loving, was not the "good guy" for allowing Jesus to suffer in the way he did, yet, that suffering, and everything Satan's system has produced, is what gives Jehovah the justification to end his system and ultimately to END Satan, and his demons.

In fact, allowing Satan to perform all manner of wickedness is in fact the whole damn point of Jehovah letting this go on in the first place. But more than that, to allow his governments and everything he touches TO FAIL! (Including if not especially WT!!!) So yes, not only does Jehovah allow it, Satan's ultimate destruction and ruin DEPENDS on Jehovah allowing it. Only then can Jehovah show that this rebellion has not only failed, it fails epically, and ultimately and FINALLY! His failure will be ULTIMATE and FINAL!!!

So when Peter said to Jesus "Be kind to yourself, Lord; you will not have this happen to you at all.” What he really meant was "Jehovah would not allow this." And Jesus said, "Get behind me Satan."

So from now on, when any JW tells you that "Jehovah wouldn't allow that", remember what Jesus said to one of his most beloved brothers...."Get behind me Satan." This was God's SON, his ONLY begotten Son, and Jehovah did in fact "allow it"...when he allowed Jesus to be killed. Nothing else could EVER be worse than allowing Satan to kill Jehovah's Son!

Just another lie from known liars, the GB and WT!

You make a good point. The response is easy to remember too. I can't wait to try it out and see the response I get.

Very interesting reasoning. We're definitely going to keep this in our back pocket to use, for instance, if we're ever told Jehovah would not allow a "deluding influence" to come upon the GB. We now have the perfect response, "Get behind me Satan". (Exaggeration, of course)
Thanks, Nomex. You came through again.

Many people have issues with God allowing the Son to be struck down. They reason, why not just strike the devil down or do something in Eden. These peoples do not grasp the bigger picture. There's a saying that should be considered. Goes like this: "The best way to prove a fool wrong is to let them have it their way."

I just realized this also...what does the Bible say Peter did? Peter rebuked Jesus...I mean just think of that. But also think about this, Jehovah made sure that was recorded in the Bible, and what is a rebuke?

Rebuke: To criticize (someone) sharply; reprimand And what is it when someone says to you, "Jehovah wouldn't allow that?...it is in fact a rebuke!!!
Very very telling it would seem.

Thinking God's thoughts instead of thoughts from a human perspective is important to consider. Let's be real honest. People are really stupid. God's prophecy moves along in the appointed time while humans stumble around, never learning from history and becoming collateral damage out of their stupidity.

This makes me think of what my son-in-law said when I suggested that what if the GB has turned away from Jehovah like Judas did. His response was, in a loud voice…”Jehovah wouldn’t allow that so close to the end now!”

I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! There’s no where in the Bible it says they wouldn’t. On the other hand Jesus did say there would be those that would be “stumbled and betray one another.”
It’s crazy the way they think. That’s what happens when you put your faith in men.

“Jehovah would not allow it”, is perhaps a euphemism from the GB for “We want you to do what we say” without having to explain why - as with the vaccination, where they were trying to minimise any bad reactions to it. Back in the days of Catholicism when it was rife in Europe, during the dark ages, it was common for priests and the “inquisitors “ of the Catholic Church to simply confirm their own opinions to the flock by saying “God wills it”, thus making any opposer out to be in opposition to God. The watchtower do the very same thing by speaking for Jehovah and assuming themselves as His mouthpiece. “Jehovah wills it/Jehovah would not allow it”, it’s the supreme get out clause, to pass blame and responsibility and to hike up enthusiasm for the brethren to go along with their plans. Yes you are right to say it’s from Satan. The watchtower actually assume they speak for Jehovah. It’s rather frightening to think they can go so far - the gap between assuming to know Jehovah’s mind, to sitting down in His place grows ever more narrow for them.

The ancient Jews also believed that they were untouchable which is reflected in Habakkuk’s words in chapter one
[The Lord replied,] “Look among the nations! See!Be astonished! Wonder! For I am doing something in your days—You would not believe it if you were told. “For behold, I am raising up the Chaldeans [who rule in Babylon],That fierce and impetuous nationWho march throughout the earthTo take possession of dwelling places that do not belong to them.

Exactly so! This is what the bible refers to is it not? The taking on of the attributes of the spirit. It is also everything that is wrong with watchtower, parroting as they do, examples of faith, examples of good deeds, respect, especially loyalty - to them selves as Jehovah‘s representatives on earth. However, what is there in the content that they churn out that encourages, describes and emulates such appreciation for the Spirit? Their preaching really is little more than a “Highway Code” of how to drive a car, but nothing to indicate what it is actually like to steer a ton or two of metal along a crowded highway. If we compare it with the experience of growing from a child to an adult, all the nuances of behaviour are demonstrated and learnt, along with how such behaviours are received, welcomed or rejected. They become embedded into our personality, reflected upon, modified, polished or indulged in according to our heart. There is none of this within watchtower - not because it cannot be taught and received, emulated and made our own, but because the direction is simply not there. Watchtower is impotent in this regard. It’s remit is if the world, negativity in all things, and heaps of blame and discipline, regimentation - a learning by rote of what not to do, rather than what to do in emulating the Spirit, that will negate the badness of our ways. They produce followers for themselves not disciples of Jesus, independent, free, able to carry the Spirit with them as did the apostles. I don’t think people are stupid insofar as being deceived - they are deceived for a reason - we have all been down that road. They are just not set free to ask and receive, to discuss and argue, just as the Boreans did. Teaching is a provocation, illustration and enticement to progress, not to wait endlessly upon “new light” excuses for getting it wrong through guesswork and blaming it on the Creator of the universe. (I still wonder if winder ever lies awake at night wondering what on earth possessed him to utter those words against Jehovah).

Buen punto!
